Indian companies can design large-scale agricultural consortiums by sourcing low-cost farmland in Sub-Saharan Africa. Specifically, 1 million hectares of land could be acquired across multiple integrated farming projects, including dairy and grain production. Sub-Saharan Africa represents a new frontier for agricultural investment due to very low land acquisition costs compared to other more developed markets. Individual Indian companies could obtain large tracts of African farmland and implement mega projects focused on dairy, grains, and high-value crops through an organized cluster model.
