This document outlines a unit plan for an inquiry-based learning program. The unit focuses on how cities change over time. Key concepts to be explored include change, form, and connection. Students will develop thinking, social, communication, self-management, and research skills. The central idea is that cities around the world share characteristics and people migrate between rural and urban areas for different reasons, while cities also evolve and transform over time. Attitudes and attributes from the PYP and IB programs will also be incorporated.
