Human geography is the study of human activity and how it varies across locations on Earth. It examines where people are located, why they are there, and how they interact with their environments. The course aims to teach students to analyze maps and spatial data, understand relationships between phenomena in different places, characterize associations between patterns and processes at different scales, define and analyze regions, and characterize changing connections between locations. Key content areas include geography, population, cultural patterns, political organization, agriculture, industrialization, and cities.
