Today: Speaking & Listening: Drama focus A short scripted scene, inspired by an actual scene from the play May extend or develop a scene Could be ‘before’ events of the play, or ‘after’ Might be a ‘hidden scene’; something referred to but not seen
What I will be looking for: Create and sustain a role; make it believable and involving for an audience Use voice, facial expression, gesture and movement to enhance the role Use some interesting techniques to make the piece involving for an audience
Format: Decide on groupings Discuss where/ when the scene should take place Agree on characters and who will play them Write up an outline of the scene Begin to script the scene Read through lines; time it Block scene; practice and rehearse Perform!
