Introduction
• Our study is to see the role of youtube educational videos in our studies
these centuries.
• The study targeted Palestinian students in west bank universities from:
 17 and above
Scientific and literature studies
 Baccalaureate and Masters degree either.
• It aims to develop teaching methods whether to improve youtube
videos or teachers lectures
• We published this study in an online survey and share it on social media
among students of West Bank universities.
Research Objectives:
Primary Objective
To see if there is a relationship between academic rate and youtube videos
Second Objective
To specify the factors that affect the relationship and play a major role in increasing or
deacresing the relationship.
The Research Hypothesis
It consists of 3 main Hypothesis, which include:
• There is no real relationship or effect of using YouTube to study in raising the level of
academic achievement of university students.
• There is no widespread use of educational videos by students.
• University lectures cannot be replaced by YouTube videos.
The Variables in this Study are:
Dependent variable: Academic Achievement.
Independent variable: Watching YouTube.
Constant variable: University Students.
Intervening variable: Understanding.
Moderating variables: Lecturers, and the Source of Study.
METHOD OF
THE STUDY
Sample size of the study
o The process to determine the sample size was by
an online website with CI 95%
o The sample size we have reached was about 468
of people answered the questionnaire.
Study details
o The survey included 26 different questions,
devised into personal questions first and
questions that define the essence of YouTube
on them second, which the questions consist of:
 Dichotomous questions
 Ordinal questions
 Multiple choice questions
 Likert scale questions
METHOD OF THE
STUDY
• The study was particularly for West
Bank universities and broadly for
university scholars from all majors,
studies, and even from all countries.
• It targeted the Palestinian
population.
• It was made by an online survey.

Is the benefit of using YouTube by students decreases by increasing the
academic level?
we used the Spearman correlation test between the academic rate for those
who use YouTube and their academic level.
 the p-value was 0.538, which means that the null hypothesis was
accepted, so there is no significant relation, which means that the
benefit of using YouTube to increase the academic rate does not
decrease with an increase of the academic level.

The relationship between using YouTube and academic rate:
we used the Spearman correlation and the result was as shown in the following table:
 The p-value was less than 0.001, which means there is a significant
difference. The p-value was only 21.1%.
 So, students with higher academic rates are using YouTube more;
However, the students how use YouTube more was students with GPA
between 80-89.

LIMITATIONS
From the problems we faced in our study:
 We could not collect data in a real paper questionnaire and give it to the people.
 There is a large difference between the number of males and females who filled our
data, in addition to that, the majority of them was from Al-Quds university, and
medical studnts, so we had to take care about these things.
 Among the reasons that were outside our ability, the Coronavirus, which prevented us
from doing research much better.
CONCLUSION
To conclude our study, YouTube has become a great asset in the field of education, and it has
made a great impression in this field.
In addition to that, YouTube has become a solution to many of the challenges that the
educational process can face, especially in emergency and disaster situations, as what is
happening now in 2020, how the Coronavirus invaded the world.
It promotes the concept of self-education and the ability of individuals to rely on themselves.
And as what the results show, it should be a developing in the world of Youtube and its
educational videos, to let students and other benefit from them.
Finally, it’s the first study in our Palestinian population, that research the relationship between
Youtube educational videos and the academic rate.

  • 23. LIMITATIONS From the problems we faced in our study:  We could not collect data in a real paper questionnaire and give it to the people.  There is a large difference between the number of males and females who filled our data, in addition to that, the majority of them was from Al-Quds university, and medical studnts, so we had to take care about these things.  Among the reasons that were outside our ability, the Coronavirus, which prevented us from doing research much better.
  • 24. CONCLUSION To conclude our study, YouTube has become a great asset in the field of education, and it has made a great impression in this field. In addition to that, YouTube has become a solution to many of the challenges that the educational process can face, especially in emergency and disaster situations, as what is happening now in 2020, how the Coronavirus invaded the world. It promotes the concept of self-education and the ability of individuals to rely on themselves. And as what the results show, it should be a developing in the world of Youtube and its educational videos, to let students and other benefit from them. Finally, it’s the first study in our Palestinian population, that research the relationship between Youtube educational videos and the academic rate.
