Arts Council Briefing session 10 November 2010
The regional director and chair of the regional council held a briefing session to discuss changes to Arts Council England's funding programme. They outlined that the government settlement resulted in a 29.6% cut over four years, reducing the budget from £449m to £350m. The new funding programme will have open applications, fixed term funding agreements between 2-6 years, criteria-based funding agreements focused on goals and priorities, and a balance between organization types and artforms. Applications are due January 24th and decisions will be announced in March.
