The paper must thoroughly address your chosen social problem, investigate possible solutions for the problem, incorporate five peer-reviewed resources and journal articles, and have a properly formatted reference page.
Papers will be between 6 to 8 pages in length. It is important to convey your subject and topic content concisely for your final assignment. Longer assignments have a tendency to veer off subject. It is important to clearly write about your topic. (An example of a research paper outline is included below which might be of interest to you).
Remember that you must discuss the roles that the church, the family, and the community should play in the solutions to the problem. Additionally, be sure to incorporate biblical support for the positions and opinions that you express.
Review the grading rubric to improve the quality of your paper. Your paper will be submitted through SafeAssign, a tool used to detect plagiarism.

Reflection Paper Instructions
For this assignment, you should compose a 3-page double-spaced paper that addresses how the principles that you have learned throughout this course have changed your understanding of what it means to be a Christian. You will submit your first paper in Module/Week 4 and your second paper is Module/Week 8.
You should follow the format of Praxis: Beyond Theory when completing your papers. The format is:
1. An explanation of the topic/doctrine
2. Scriptural basis for the doctrine
3. Practical application of the doctrine to the life of the student
As you respond to the prompt, reflect on the concepts that you have learned throughout the course, and apply them to your specific topic. Be sure to integrate the information that you learned through the textbook readings, the assigned article readings, the lecture videos, and any other related content that you may have encountered during the course. Your paper should also:
1. Describe the course concepts that are related to your topic, demonstrating your reflection and analysis. Do not simply summarize what was presented in class.
2. Demonstrate real ownership of the ideas that you present by providing unique insight as evidence of your careful consideration of the topic.
3. Provide a logical link between the description of the concepts from the course, and the conclusions or implications that you draw in your reflection. In other words, your conclusion should be logically derived from the application of the course concepts to the description of your topic.
4. Demonstrate learning initiative by exploring conclusions and implications beyond the boundaries of our classroom discussion.
5. Focus on depth of understanding, rather than breadth of coverage.
Format your paper in a MS Word document using current APA, MLA, or Turabian style (whichever corresponds to your degree program). Review the Reflection Paper Grading Rubric to see the specific grading criteria by which you will be evaluated before submitting your paper.
Structure your paper in the following format (inserting the headings within the paper):
I. Introduction (one paragraph introducing the two topics/doctrines that you will address)

How to study the bible - Pastor Joseph V. TheluscaClint Brown
Power Point Presentation on the various ways to read and study the bible by Pastor Joseph V. Thelusca of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Oranges.
In this essay, you are not to list what happened in that part of t.docxbradburgess22840
In this essay, you are not to list what happened in that part of the Bible. Instead, you are to define the author’s message to the reader: what is the author telling the reader about what happened? As such, your goal is to explain the author’s message by describing most of the book and its most important parts. Each essay must not be any shorter or longer than three double-spaced pages and must be written in Times New Romans 12 Point font with appropriate 1 inch margins. Each essay will have a proper introduction and conclusion that will state and restate your thesis of that section’s message. In addition, each body paragraph will provide evidence from the biblical text and, if needed, additional sources to defend your thesis. The student must employ an academic writing style with appropriate citation according to the Turabian manual. Please submit your papers in Blackboard as .doc or .docx files.
As you consider your topic, please remember that the assignment is not to tell me the setting of the Prophets. Its setting is clearly the Old Covenant. Instead, your task is to define what he is telling his readers about the Old Covenant. That is, what message (lesson, instruction, insight) and hope does he give to the reader as he examines life under the Old Covenant in the Prophets?
As such, you will advance a thesis that claims what the author intends to communicate with the shape of his book. That is, you are now asked to argue what the author is offering as the book’s hope. How does the author answer his dilemma? What hope does he offer? Is his hope for the reader the law codes themselves from Moses? Or, is his hope based upon something or someone other than the law codes who has appeared or will appear later? If so, what does the author have to say about the law codes from Moses or the words from the Prophets?
With such a big book to explain, Joshua–Malachi, how do you find one answer to these questions? Look at the repetitions at the beginning and the ending of the book. That is, compare the opening chapters of Joshua with the final chapters of Malachi.2. Also, consider the themes and situations repeated throughout the book. That is, focus on similarities between the major characters, such as Joshua, Samuel, David and Solomon all giving speeches that look a lot like Moses’ speeches in Deuteronomy. In addition, detect the places where there are major changes in the form of the text (speed bumps) such as a change from narrative to poetry or vice versa. Finally, make sure that you at least consider the repetitions of phrases and concepts throughout the book as a whole.

Assessment Description
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your understanding of the Christian worldview, including the main topics you have covered up to this point. You will summarize and analyze the essential elements of the gospel (nature of God, nature of humanity, nature of Jesus, and restoration) and reflect on implications for the Christian worldview.
Write a 1,500-2,000-word essay using at least four resources. The four resources need to include at least two course resources (textbook, topic overviews, the Bible) and at least two other sources from the GCU Library to support your points. Remember, the Bible counts as one resource regardless of how many times you use it or how many verses you cite.
Begin your paper with an appropriate introduction, including a thesis statement to introduce the purpose of the paper. Present the gospel essentials (nature of God, nature of humanity, nature of Jesus, and restoration), the Christian foundation, and an analysis of the implications of the Christian worldview.
Use the "Gospel Essentials Essay Template." Based on the Christian worldview, write at least one paragraph for each of the following components.
Nature of God: What is the triune God like? What are God's characteristics? What is his creation?
Nature of Humanity: What is human nature? What is human purpose? What is the root cause of human problems?
Nature of Jesus: What is Jesus's true identity? What was Jesus's kingdom purpose? Why is Jesus's identity and work significant for the Christian worldview?
Restoration: What is the solution to human problems according to the Christian worldview? What role do grace, faith, and repentance play in Christian salvation? How do Christians think that the transformation of self and society happen?
Christian Foundation: Summarize how the concepts of the gospel essentials (nature of God, nature of humanity, nature of Jesus, and restoration) constitute the foundation of the Christian worldview. In other words, how are these concepts essential to the Christian worldview?
Analysis of the Implications of the Christian Worldview: Based on the previous five prompts, analyze the implications of the Christian worldview by addressing each of the following questions:
· What are the benefits or strengths of the Christian worldview as it relates to human value and dignity?
· Compare the Christian concept of salvation in contrast to any other worldview perspective.
· How does the Christian worldview influence a person's thinking and behavior?
· What do people find troublesome or confusing about Christianity and why?
Conclusion: Synthesize the main points, pulling the ideas of the paper together.

Abstract
Graduate students often struggle with learning how to write in APA format. One of the best ways to learn APA format is to seek assistance from university writing centers. This study examined the improvement in writing exhibited by a sample of one hundred students in a graduate writing course. Fifty students relied on “self-taught” APA format resources provided by the university and fifty students received assistance from the university writing center. The students receiving assistance from the writing center made 25% fewer errors on the exit essay than the group using only the “self-taught” resources. The results indicate that university writing centers can be more helpful in learning APA format than relying on “self-taught” resources.
Annotated Bibliography
An annotated bibliography is a collection of a minimum of 10 one-paragraph summaries of the 10 sources you intend to use in the final paper. The sources must be current or dated within the past 10 years. The ability to use resources older than 10 years is left to the discretion of the instructor. At least 50% of these sources need to be from empirical journal articles.
Do not paste the article abstract in the paper. Annotations must be your own summary of the article. The summary must include the findings of research that was included in the article. Do not simply say the authors conducted a study without providing a summary of the findings.
The annotations include the full current APA-formatted citations of the source, and the annotations are listed in alphabetical order based on the first author’s last name. The assignment must include a title page in current APA format.
Example:
Grice, R. (2011). The value of university writing centers. Journal of Counseling, 23(1), 56–58.
University writing centers can be very helpful in learning APA format. Grice found in a study of 100 graduate students in a graduate-level writing course that those receiving assistance from the university writing center demonstrated marked improvement by reducing errors by 25% in comparison to the “self-taught” group. The author concludes that university writing centers can be very helpful to graduate students.
Requirements:
1. Include a current APA-formatted title page with all of the required components.
2. List the annotations in alphabetical order according to the first author’s last name.
3. All sources must be from academic and peer-reviewed journals or books such as the course resources.
4. Resources must be dated within the past 10 years unless permission to use older resources is given by the instructor.

determine how do the religious scriptures instruct people to
act and/or become? For example, for the “healing” theme –
how do each of the religions guide their believers in healing? Is
this an inner healing or an outer? Are we healing our souls,
minds, entire being, our community, the world-at-large, etc? If
your theme is about the nature of reality or some other
metaphysical topic, determine how the religious scriptures
inform people about how is the world.
b. Discuss/explain the similarities and differences among the
religions in regards to your chosen theme. You must use
tenets, doctrines, worshiping practices, etc. that you learned
about in each religions unit in your discussion/explanation.
Using material from each of the religions explain how the
messages are the same and how they differ. I suggest you first
make a draft discussing each of the religions in regards to
your theme. Then look over your discussion of each of the
religions and find commonalities and differences among them
in regards to your theme. Then you will be all set to write your
comparative essay about the five religions.
c. The paper length does not include the scriptural texts from the
comparative boxes.
d. Since I used the “Healing” theme in these instructions, you are
not permitted to use this theme for your essay.

We’ve begun exploring the difference between science and religion .docxhelzerpatrina
We’ve begun exploring the difference between science and religion and facts and beliefs in the discussion threads along with the Week 1 reflection paper on beliefs. This thread explores what spiritual growth means (need compelling definitions from those quality sources) and how are discussions fit. The images of rooms in a house or possible paths to take or a journey and our work in this thread deepens the central point of a religious quest as growing spiritually.
In week five the concept of biblical literalism is examined in regards to an informed, living Word of God foundation, which is not easy, nor short term, nor isolated is the mature, experienced, and prayerful interpretation of Sacred Scriptures. But this is one of several points that we should note and then study in reference to a mature faith and biblical studies. (This is a good point to include in the Week 3 Written Assignment!) (Biology is another point to relate to our work!) Just as we were born small, defenseless, incapable of speech and had the capacity for understanding but knew nothing, human development (each of us) needed to physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually needed to grow, deepen, and progress through stages that take time. See Kohlberg’s Model of Moral Development that might provide some insights in graphical form.
Also, check out the lecture for this week to aid in our work.

Religious Quest – RELS 1325
Rev. Paul Hudec, PhD
Week 3 Written Assignment (quiz/journal, etc.)
This assignment will provide evidence regarding mastery of the important concepts of the material through the end of this portion of the course including references (sources) as they refer to each item below. This is a formal paper which is different from the Week 1 informal, reflection paper. Citations linked to sources are required in each of the following topics.
Organize the paper with a header or section title and (you can use single-spacing rather than double-spacing if you’d like) with any references to the text and other sources identified as footnotes or as endnotes or in a proper documentation style at the end of this short paper.
This is not a memory test or assessment on persons, places, or things, but on the quality sources discovered and the material these sources provided along with insights gained in the discussions that logically flow from these sources.
What expert and professional sources have you found in these first three weeks that aid your efforts in this course Religious Quest and how have they helped (list each and what insights have they provided)?
What is the religious quest and how do the attributes of God as discussed in the discussion threads fit within that quest?
What is spiritual growth and what models were explored in the discussion threads?
How does science inform the religious quest?
Each answer to the above questions should be at least ½ page (single-spaced or 1 full page if doub ...

Old Testament Interpretive Commentary of Jonah --Overview
The following research assignment is an independent study meant to reflect your research, study, and work. The purpose of this assignment is for you to interpret the text from the original author to the original recipients within the historical and cultural context. Exegesis (interpretive analysis) engages the historical, grammatical, and literary meaning of the text.
This assignment is teaching you a basic method on how to prepare to teach Scripture from an exegetical hermeneutic. After the completion of this assignment, you will be able to prepare expository messages based on an exegetical method which is consistent with the meaning of the text from the original author to the original recipients.
Your commentary paper will evidence a combination of original thought and insightful comments from resources. The commentary paper will not be an extensive string of quotes from sources. You should avoid long quotes that exceed 5 lines and are required to be block quotes.
Week 2: Title Page and Bibliography (26 pts.)
Create your title page and bibliography. The title page and bibliography must conform to Turabian format. The bibliography should represent exegetical commentaries. The better your resources, the better your paper. You need a minimum of 5 good resources (more are certainly welcome). Good resources are less than 50 years old and provide exegetical comments based on paragraph or verse units. These resources should not be primarily devotional in nature. Websites and internet blogs that are not peer-reviewed are unacceptable. Journal articles are good, but understand that journal articles are often narrow in focus or propose unique views that are not universally accepted. It is best to use commentaries that focus on detailed exegesis of Jonah. These resources will make it easier for you to write a substantive commentary. Commentaries such as the Pulpit, Jamieson-Faussett-Brown, Weirsbe, McGhee, and Matthew Henry are too old or too devotional. Commentaries such as NICOT, Expositors Bible, MacArthur, New American Commentary, NIV Application and Word Biblical are good examples. You should consult with your pastor or others in your community to gather these sources. There are Bible software programs that provide many of these sources as e-books. Journal articles can be accessed through the Liberty University Library via the ATLA Religion databases. The LU library staff is available to help you. There are LU videos to teach you how to access the library.
Week 7: Jonah Commentary (200 pts.)
Submit your completed Interpretive Commentary by the close of Module Seven. Keep in mind that you are not writing a sermon; you are writing a commentary. You can produce sermons from the commentary, but the commentary is not sermonic. The application portion of this paper is at the end of the assignment; the commentary itself is interpretive. Read through your sources and highlight ins ...

Ashford 6: - Week 5 - Final Paper
Integrative Personality Theory
For your final paper, you will complete the rest of the assignment which you began in week three and create your own theory of personality development by synthesizing the concepts and constructs of all the theories that seem most accurate and appropriate to you and by using those concepts to reflect on your own personality and development. Remember to use
the template
provided to guide you through the steps.
Research a minimum of eight scholarly sources related to these concepts in the Ashford University Library to support your statements in the paper. Popular websites and your textbook may augment, but they will not count toward, the minimum number of sources needed for the paper. The following content and headings must be included in your paper.
Please visit the Ashford Writing Center for guidance on how to format headings in APA Style. Also, please take note of the suggestions provided for the length for each section in the instructions below.
Instructions:
Provide a general introduction to the topic of theories of personality. Explain what you plan to cover and describe the direction your paper will take. This section will not feature a heading, and it will be approximately two to three paragraphs.
Major Concepts
In this section, you will present the seven specific concepts identified from the seven models you think best apply to the study of personality in distinct subheadings. For each concept, identify the major personality model from which the concept was taken as well as the theorist associated with that model. This completed section will be approximately four to five pages.
Excluded Concepts
In this section, present the concepts you have chosen to exclude in your theory of personality development. Reflect on the basic assumptions that define personality and identify three specific excluded concepts from any of the theories studied in the course. For each of the excluded concepts, provide a rationale explaining the various aspects of the concept that make it unsuitable for your use. This section will be approximately one to two pages.
The Differences between Healthy and Unhealthy Personalities
Describe the basic differences between healthy and unhealthy personality, based on the concepts that you have chosen to include and exclude from your theory. This completed section will be approximately one page.
The Roles of Heredity, the Environment, and Epigenetics
Provide your analysis of the roles heredity, the environment, and epigenetics play in the development of personality. Discuss how heredity and the environment might affect personality disorders. This completed section will be approximately one page.
Assessment and Measurement of the Theory
Reflect on the major concepts you have selected for inclusion and provide a brief description about how those concepts are measured and/or assessed. Review the assessment sections of each chapter and .

Mechanics: 6 page minimum (including 5 AB entries and a Literature Review with CRQ), double-spaced, 12 point, 1” margins, MLA (or other) format
Explanation
Annotated Bibliography is a genre of writing in academia that works to show your awareness of what others have written about a topic. The work done in an AB, including introducing the authors with brief intellectual biographies; explicating the main claims and concepts; tracing the argument and its evidence; evaluating the source; and discussing its stakes and implications gives some context to the course reading you choose to research and situates the course reading into a research topic by indicating the intellectual conversations you are entering. The point of this assignment is to practice research skills but also to dig a little deeper into 4 of our readings using research. For this assignment:Writing Task
1. Compile an Annotated Bibliographyof five scholarly sources, including one entry for Gayle Rubin’s “Thinking Sex” and 4 more scholarly sources based on researching sources that are connected to one (the deep dive) or more of our course readings. See the next page for the specific AB entry format.
· Sources
· “Scholarly” means peer-reviewed articles from academic journals or chapters in books written by experts in a field and not wikis, encyclopedias, newspapers, popular magazines/media, blogs, websites, etc. (see the Library Guide on what constitutes a scholarly source).
· “Connected” means that each of your researched, scholarly sources must be connection to a course reading in some way. You can either find a source that engages or discusses the particular critical essay or cultural text from the course calendar or you can do research on a topic or theme that is brought up in or similar to the course reading. Whatever you decide, you’ll explain the connection in your quote analysis.
· “Deep Dive” means you may also include more than one researched source per course text. You can, for instance, research two sources on a critical essay and two on a cultural text or even include 4 sources that are all about one essay or text to give some in-depth engagement with one course reading. Alternatively, you may also include 4 sources on 4 different course texts.
· Focus
· If you’d like, you canfocus your research within a broad topic, on a field of knowledge, or on a really specific object of analysis within that topic. For example, you can produce an AB based on a specific topic (like racialized hypersexuality, the sex/gender/desire matrix, or a particular sexual stereotype) or a specific discipline (for instance, focus on the sociology of sex) or an interdisciplinary one that pursues a critical research question through multiple fields of knowledge (for instance, focused on how sociology, cult.

Paper #1 SCHOOL DROPOUTS
Some statistics about student dropouts follow. The task is to decide what you would do to keep students in schools. In other words, what can be done to improve these statistics?
The national dropout rate is between 25 and 30 percent of students. The typical high school graduation includes only 70 percent of its ninth-grade class members. One result is that approximately one-third of the adult population is functionally illiterate.
States with the lowest dropout rates:
North Dakota
Minnesota
Delaware
Iowa
South Dakota
States with the highest dropout rates:
Louisiana
Florida
Nevada
Mississippi
Tennessee
Georgia
It is possible to spot regional differences in dropout rates, but even more noticeable is the effect of family economics on dropout statistics.
Are there differences by ethnic groups within these statistics?

Based on the work of Marcia, there are four general areas in which a person needs to make commitments in order to achieve an identity. These include career identity, sexual beliefs and values, religious beliefs and values, and political beliefs.
Interview a young teenager about his or her plans and commitments in these four areas: 1) career; 2) religion; 3) sexual behavior; and, 4) politics. You do not have to ask about specific behaviors, but ask generally what the person believes. After you interview the child... Write a paper on that interview and the correaltion of Marcia's four Identity Commitments and how it translates to that of the child. 2.5 pages double spaced. you may reference material used from MARCIA

CHILDERN AND ANXIETY
CHILDREN AND ANXIETY
The prevalence of anxiety disorders among children seems to be on the rise. Children are being treated for obsessive-compulsive disorder, for post-traumatic stress syndrome, and generalized anxiety disorders. Some authors have suggested that the world is a far more frightening and stressful place for children now than in previous generations. Recent historical events, such as the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, the war in Iraq, and similar events that receive heavy media coverage, may present children with things to think about that previous generations did not experience. In addition, children are exposed to many more graphic images of violence and victimization in their media. These factors, plus the fact that their parents, teachers, and caregivers are also experiencing stressors, might contribute to children’s anxiety.
What did you fear as a child? What things might children fear? Consider the definition of .

Essay Assignment: For this assignment you are to compare and
contrast the five religious traditions you are learning about this
semester in regards to a particular theme that you select. These five
religious traditions are: Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity,
and Islam. In each chapter of your text there are comparative boxes.
Each comparative box has a particular theme. Choose one of these
boxes to discuss for your essay. For each religion, I have provided
you with the corresponding text for each of these comparative
boxes. You can find these documents under either the Modules or
Pages link.
Please refer to the Format Example below while reading the
directions.
Directions: You must satisfy all of the requirements for this
assignment.
1. Comparative box:
a. Pick one of the comparative boxes; find the full text of the
references in the box and cut/paste these on the first page(s)
of your assignment.
b. At top of page state theme title and chapter from which it
comes.
2. Comparative Essay:
a. Explain the theme of your chosen comparative box. What does
the theme mean? If your theme is about behavior or attitude,
determine how do the religious scriptures instruct people to
act and/or become?

You must create a court system for the newly created state of Puerto Rico. You are to work under the assumption that Puerto Rico has just been admitted as the 51st state and build your court system from the bottom up. To be certain you understand how courts are organized in other states, you must research at least three current state court systems, within the United States, and use those systems to create Puerto Rico’s system. Do not use Puerto Rico’s current system as one of your examples. You must describe your proposal for creating Puerto Rico’s municipal courts, major trial courts, appellate courts, and the state’s highest court. Include geographic jurisdictions.
You must also describe how judges will be chosen for each court and must discuss how judicial and attorney ethical standards will be structured and enforced. You should conduct basic research on Puerto Rico (size, geography, population, existing counties or municipios, etc.) to be certain your proposed system will actually work.
Remember to provide citations when you borrow some idea or structure from another state.

You must complete an Electronic Presentation on Black Culture.docxdavezstarr61655
You must complete an
Electronic Presentation on Black Culture
. You will select and present on the significances of two works of black culture. The first work you select must be a work of African-American literature, poetry, music, fashion, dance, or some other cultural art form that was created and/or popularized by an
African American
during the time periods of the Harlem and Chicago Renaissances (1917-1949). Your second work of black culture must have been created and/or popularized by a black person (but not necessarily an African American) within YOUR lifetime. For example, if you were born in 1999, your second cultural selection needs to have been created by a black person between 1999 and the present. The two works you select to present do not have to share a cultural form (i.e. one work can be a poem and the other can be a song; one work can be a painting and the other can be a fashion trend). Nor do the two works have to share a particular theme. You may choose to do a compare-and-contrast type presentation. But, you do not have to. In presenting the works, you will need to provide background information on your chosen works (i.e. when where the works created; who created them or made them famous; and, what impact did the works have on the cultural landscape when and since they first appeared?). You will also have to briefly explain why you made those particular selections, and explain what you think each work tells people about the ways in which African-American/Black culture and experiences remained congruent and/or changed from the eras of the Harlem and Chicago Renaissances to the modern era. Moreover, your Electronic Presentation on Black Culture must be creative in both style and substance.
Your Electronic Presentation should have a run time of 7-10 minutes.
And, it must contain both audio and visual components.
When delivering your Electronic Presentation, you will serve as the professor for the class. So, give a Presentation that your temporary students (i.e. your classmates and Dr. Brown) will find to be both impressive and informative. The more creative, interesting, organized, and informative your Presentation is, the higher your grade will be. If your Presentation is disorganized, bland, lacks imagination, or does little more than echo information and ideas that have already been presented through the course texts, media, and PowerPoint lectures, you should not expect to earn a stellar grade on it.
Your presentation should add information, details, and/or perspectives that we did not cover in class. As such, I strongly recommend that you research and select cultural works that we did not discuss in class. In other words, avoid selecting a poem by Langston Hughes or a song we covered in class. Be more creative. Do more research. And, you should use and cite outside sources for the Electronic Presentation.

You must complete an Electronic Presentation on Black Cu.docxdavezstarr61655
You must complete an Electronic Presentation on Black Culture.

Prompt 1:
Does any president deserve credit for an economic boom or recession? Who is more instrumental in influencing the economy—the president or the chairman of the Federal Reserve Board?
Prompt 2:
Many people have argued that we should privatize much of government—that is, turn over to the private sector such traditional governmental activities as running prisons, Social Security, public broadcasting, and even public schools. Is this a good idea? What programs, if any, should be privatized? What are the relative disadvantages in privatization?

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

3. The paper must thoroughly address your chosen social problem,
investigate possible solutions for the problem, incorporate five
peer-reviewed resources and journal articles, and have a
properly formatted reference page.
Papers will be between 6 to 8 pages in length. It is important to
convey your subject and topic content concisely for your final
assignment. Longer assignments have a tendency to veer off
subject. It is important to clearly write about your topic. (An
example of a research paper outline is included below which
might be of interest to you).
Remember that you must discuss the roles that the church, the
family, and the community should play in the solutions to the
problem. Additionally, be sure to incorporate biblical support
for the positions and opinions that you express.
Review the grading rubric to improve the quality of your paper.
Your paper will be submitted through SafeAssign, a tool used to
detect plagiarism.

sentence informative, especially the lead sentence. An abstract
will be viewed alone on the page. An abstract will not include
citations per APA guidelines.
Introduction
The body of a manuscript opens with an introduction that
presents the specific problem being studied, and describes the
research strategy. Although not mandatory, APA citations can
be included in an introduction.
Headings will enhance academic writing
Headings provide sound organizational structure to clear,
precise information and communication you wish to convey to
your reader. Headings throughout your paper will enhance
academic writing and can assist the reader to anticipate key
points and track the development of your argument.
Three to four pages of topic content using headings should
present a concise research assignment demonstrating your
understanding of the content. Remember, single sentence
paragraphs are too abrupt, and paragraphs which are too long
are likely to lose the reader’s attention.
Conclusion
Be sure to tie your research paper together with a strong
concluding paragraph. A strong conclusion will tell the reader
briefly what has been researched and discussed.

Biblical Worldview Essay Instructions
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your
understanding of the unified and coherent nature of the Bible
and the theological doctrines. One way to view Scripture is
through the four major plot movements of Creation, Fall,
Redemption, and Restoration. Considering biblical doctrines
through these four plot movements can aid in our understanding
of humanity and humanity’s relationship to God.
After viewing the presentation, Understanding Biblical
Narrative, and completing your textbook readings, you will be
equipped to demonstrate the coherence of Scripture and share
some of the implications of the unified message of the Bible.
For this assignment, you must write a 600 word essay
addressing the following prompt:
The unity of the Bible is demonstrated through the Divine
inspiration of the Holy Spirit on the human authors of Scripture.
The study of theology uncovers and articulates the unity of all
the biblical texts when they are taken together. From the list of
approved doctrines to address, demonstrate the unified nature of
the Bible by tracing that doctrine through the four major plot
developments of Scripture.
For example, The Bible describes God as love in 1 John 4:8.
The way to interpret “God is love” is to look at the biblical
story that reveals God’s character through His actions. When
looking at the idea of love through the four major plot
movements in Scripture we see God’s love demonstrated in His
6. creation of humanity, His patience with humanity after the fall,
His sacrificial death to redeem humanity from the fall, and His
restorative work through preparation of the heavenly home.
(This example would be substantiated and demonstrated with
biblical support, and be elaborated on within the essay.)
Assignment Requirements:
1. Discuss the major movement of the biblical narrative/story,
its main character, and its implications for understanding the
unity of the biblical books.
2. Choose two topics from the approved topics list that are
presented in Biblical doctrine with attention on how these
theological topics unfold through the through the four major
plot movements of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration.
3. Using your theological examples, share the implications that
these examples provide humanity’s relationship to God.
4. Incorporate at least 2 theological references in your paper
using course resources.
5. Incorporate at least 2 relevant biblical references.
6. Write a clear introductory paragraph including the thesis
statement. A summative concluding paragraph must also be
included.
7. Use current Turabian format (or whichever corresponds to
your degree program).
