This document discusses a computational approach to modeling Yoruba verb morphology using the KATR formalism. It explains how the program works by generating all possible verb forms based on morphological properties and providing rules for tone changes. The contributions are a formal specification of the slots in the Yoruba verb system and a demonstration of how KATR can be used to describe morphological processes in African tone languages. Ongoing work includes further evaluation, expanding the approach to other languages, and exploring generic rule development.
