This document provides biographical information about a sailor through a series of questions and answers. The sailor joined the Navy to serve their country and help however possible. They are from Sacramento, California and enjoy traveling and deploying to new places through their Navy career. Some of their favorite activities include sports, spending time with family, and eating pizza or burritos. They have been in the Navy for four years and their service has helped them develop skills to take on new challenges and work as a team member.

1. Know Your Shipmate
Why did you join the Navy?
I joined to serve my country, I wanted to help, and do my duty anyway
possible.
Where are you from?
Sacramento, Calif.
What do you like about the Navy?
The traveling is what i like. I wish I could have done more traveling.
What are your hobbies on your liberty time?
On my free time I enjoy playing football, basketball, soccer, and play-
ing a little video games here and there. Also I like spending time with my
wife, traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people, and of course,
watching my Oakland Raiders.
How long have you been in the Navy?
I have been in for four years.
What’s your favorite food?
It’s a tie between pizza and taco truck burritos.
What have you gained from being in the Navy?
I Take pride in what we do. The Navy has made me ready to take on new
challenges, and taught me how to work as a team.
What do you like about your job in the Navy?
I enjoy being able to travel and deploying to places I never thought I
would.
Where have you been so far in the Navy?
Misawa AB twice, Meridian, Miss. for “A” School, and NAS Whidbey
Island, Wash.
What is your dream deployment?
A place where it doesn’t snow and there has to be a beach -- maybe Aus-
tralia.
What was your favorite tour in the Navy?
My first tour in Japan where I was TAD by myself for 6 months.
How long do you plan to stay in for?
This is my last month. I will be separating, but will try to continue to
serve and protect as a police officer.
If you had the choice what would be your last meal?
I wouldn’t be able to choose one thing. It would have to be a 24-hour “Eat-a-Thon” at Golden Corral.
What’s your favorite sports team?
My favorite sport teams is the Oakland Raiders
What’s the most memorable moment of your career so far?
Coming home for the first time and having family and friends show how proud of me they were. Also, any time I get stopped and thanked for my
service.
What’s your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is “Jurassic Park” since it was the first movie I remember seeing in a theater and having me at the edge of my seat.
What’s your favorite artist?
I like to dance so I am going to have to say PitBull.
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is any Dr. Seuss book.
What’s your favorite activity?
Working out, spending time with family, and of course, eating.
