This document proposes the Touch of Forest app to educate children and parents about forest diversity and encourage more sustainable forestry. The app would use plant/tree recognition technology to identify species from photos and provide information to spark curiosity about protecting rare trees. It aims to start a "Get to Know the Forest" movement through parent influencers using the app and schools promoting it, along with social media campaigns. The goal is 40,000 app downloads and 60,000 people signing a petition for more diverse forests.
