DevOpsDays Seattle 2017 - Continuous Integration: A bittersweet storySuzie Prince
This is the bittersweet story of Continuous Integration. CI is practice that we fell in love with, embraced and then never fully committed to. I’ll share with you the current state of CI, what we think we are doing when we say CI and what we are really doing in terms of CI. Then I’ll remind us all why we fell in love with CI in the first place and make some suggestions on how to get back to the good stuff.

Could you release off your mainline today? In our fast paced world well scheduled releases have become a thing of the past. Now more then ever you must maintain clean well tested code lines that can be shipped at any moment. At the last Merge we talked about how these increased demands pushed Xilinx to develop automation that validates every change before submission. In this talk we will continue that discussion covering the evolution of our tools over the past two years as we have battled with more developers, more products, and a faster code churn the ever before.

Geekle eCommerce Tech Summit - December 2021Sylvain Reiter
PaaS solutions help launch eCommerce stores in record time and provide lots of features out of the box. However, it is critical for developers to understand the UX and accessibility requirements to build inclusive digital solutions. Most projects fail to connect the creative and tech processes, so it's our job as "geek" to better bridge that gap. Let's explore the end-to-end process and best practices so you can ensure your next eCommerce project is compliant and optimised for all.

Doing DevOps well is really hard. And one of the reasons why doing DevOps well is so hard is because, as the survey sponsored by Google Cloud rightly points out: “Adopting DevOps is not a technology project. It requires changes to staffing, organization structure, performance management, and even culture”. It is easy to do a tool’s implementation and declare victory, but that won’t get organizations the benefit of DevOps -- developing and putting new software/applications into production, quickly.
In this webinar with Irfan Shariff, DASA Ambassador, you’ll learn about:
- Why DevOps
- How DevOps enables the delivery of business results
- Google ( Harvard Business Review) survey findings
- Why doing DevOps is hard
- Learning from doing Agile Software Development
- Doing DevOps right with DASA’s guidance

How we define DevOps:
DevOps is not just CI, CT, CD, Monitoring or Autoscaling. These are few of the tangible components that you need to put in place to design a better Ops process. DevOps at WH goes beyond this. DevOps is what you do so that you are able to grow your business, by overcoming the limitations of systems, infrastructure and also by providing the insights in the code to help in better development.
In this guide, you’ll find a compiled list of 8 questions to consider as you plan for the future with Drupal 8. Platform.sh helps you to focus on your core business.
Deployment is one of creepy step that every software developer has to face, in his coder life. When you have to deliver a new project, new features or changes that fix some bugs, you can handle it manually (no thanks) or write your own tools to automatically push everything into the Stage or Production environment. The second choice is better of course because allow the developers to deploy the code with a push of a button; but, who manage and keep update this toolset? Well, here it comes the DevOps team, which is nothing more than a slice of your developers team shifted from your core business to system administration. So you have to spend time and money to something you never done before and whose responsibility is it when something goes wrong? The answers are always: “I don’t have the production datas in my environment” or “The production machine has a different configuration”.
In this talk I will introduce Platform.sh, how we use it in our projects and the advantages we have found.

Join us in this webinar to learn what we’ve learned about successfully building and sustaining a DevOps culture.

# Internet Security: Safeguarding Your Digital World
In the contemporary digital age, the internet is a cornerstone of our daily lives. It connects us to vast amounts of information, provides platforms for communication, enables commerce, and offers endless entertainment. However, with these conveniences come significant security challenges. Internet security is essential to protect our digital identities, sensitive data, and overall online experience. This comprehensive guide explores the multifaceted world of internet security, providing insights into its importance, common threats, and effective strategies to safeguard your digital world.
## Understanding Internet Security
Internet security encompasses the measures and protocols used to protect information, devices, and networks from unauthorized access, attacks, and damage. It involves a wide range of practices designed to safeguard data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Effective internet security is crucial for individuals, businesses, and governments alike, as cyber threats continue to evolve in complexity and scale.
### Key Components of Internet Security
1. **Confidentiality**: Ensuring that information is accessible only to those authorized to access it.
2. **Integrity**: Protecting information from being altered or tampered with by unauthorized parties.
3. **Availability**: Ensuring that authorized users have reliable access to information and resources when needed.
## Common Internet Security Threats
Cyber threats are numerous and constantly evolving. Understanding these threats is the first step in protecting against them. Some of the most common internet security threats include:
### Malware
Malware, or malicious software, is designed to harm, exploit, or otherwise compromise a device, network, or service. Common types of malware include:
- **Viruses**: Programs that attach themselves to legitimate software and replicate, spreading to other programs and files.
- **Worms**: Standalone malware that replicates itself to spread to other computers.
- **Trojan Horses**: Malicious software disguised as legitimate software.
- **Ransomware**: Malware that encrypts a user's files and demands a ransom for the decryption key.
- **Spyware**: Software that secretly monitors and collects user information.
### Phishing
Phishing is a social engineering attack that aims to steal sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. Attackers often masquerade as trusted entities in email or other communication channels, tricking victims into providing their information.
### Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) Attacks
MitM attacks occur when an attacker intercepts and potentially alters communication between two parties without their knowledge. This can lead to the unauthorized acquisition of sensitive information.
### Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Attacks
