Launch Party
Join us for an evening of celebration to ofﬁcially launch our
2010/11 year! This Event will consist of a fashion and amazing
speakers with all funds raised from admission going towards
a local charity.

Two day workshop series featuring 4 dynamic and engaging
workshops centered around the topic of personal
development.

3rd Annual Sweet Speed Networking
A fast, fun dose of networking with industry professional
from a diverse background with representation from
engineering, law, health care and commerce.

Entrepreneurship Panel
An interactive panel session featuring a panel of 5
distinguished local entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors.

Philanthropy Event
YWiB UBC will be teaming up with a local charity to hold a
weekend mini conference for low income at risk women in
the Downtown Eastside. The conference will feature
workshops ranging from resume and cover letter skills, how
to dress on a budget and motivational speeches.

Internship Program
Launched this past summer, the YWiB UBC Internship
Program provides members with an opportunity to gain
valuable work experience through attaining internships with
well established Vancouver companies. With a focus on hand
selected small local businesses, Interns gain hands on
experience working in the industry of their choice. All
interns are prepared for their placements by taking part in a
workshop series where they gain a variety of technical and
soft skills.

Downtown Career Tours
This unique two day experience takes a group of members
on a series of information interviews with a variety of firms
in the Vancouver Area ranging from Law firms, to Biotech
companies to Marketing firms. This trip is an exciting
opportunity for members to gain information, exposure and
contacts with some of the top companies in Vancouver while
gaining insight into the companies and networking with
industry professionals.

November 19-20, 2010
Beyond P!nk
YWiB's annual ﬂagship conference that creates a space where
delegates engage in intimate workshops, partake in interactive
discussions, build lasting connections, and celebrate iconic
women in business.

This year, Beyond P!nk 2010 is set to take place November at the
Four Seasons Hotel,Vancouver. Join 249 other aspiring young
professionals as Beyond P!nk takes you on a journey to teach
you how to "Make Your Brand, Leave Your Mark". You
will learn how to identify your strengths and talents, and to use
these in order to market yourself in the workplace and create a
world of opportunity. New this year, you can "pay what you
can" and choose to pay however much you feel Beyond P!nk is
worth to you. Registration opens September 7th at www.ywib.ca/
