I have 20+
years practical experience where jobs of diversified nature undertaken in
various sectors such as Oil&Gas (Refining, Steam/Gas Power generation and
Upstream/Downstream gas processing), Construction, and state-owned sectors. Within
this period I have held several positions such as discipline engineer, team leader and
manager. It includes Basic & FEED, EPC turnkey projects, maintenance, contracting,
prequalification and tendering, procurement, commercial management and business
development, and strategic management in addition to promoting and managing GE
Oil&Gas after sales service in Libya.

3. Western Libya Gas Project, US$ 6 B - Mellitah Gas Plant, (US$ 900 M)
Lead Electrical Engineer (Group Leader):
In EPC Contractor Offices (Snamprogetti, Milan), I worked as a Lead Electrical Engineer
for the project, where I was carrying out the following EPC activities:
• Supervision, Monitoring & Follow-up all Project Deliverables for Detailed Engineering,
Procurement & Construction.
• Review, comment & approve the project deliverables in accordance with the Tender
specifications & International codes/standards.
• Follow up -with Vendors- the material status (Apparatus & Spare Parts).
• Carry out the Equipment Tests & Inspection and FAT.
Mellitah Site Manager:
I worked as a site manager & Eni Gas representative to follow-up the Contractor’s
mobilization activities of the Onshore Pipeline Project.
I have also participated in following-up the contractors and subcontractors of the
upstream drilling campaign at onshore Wafa field.
Azzawiya Oil Refining Co. May 1989 - May 2002
Thirteen years of practical experience in this organization where I undertook jobs of
diversified nature in various departments such as:
• Maintenance, including supervision, troubleshooting, commissioning, testing,
inspection, etc.
• Engineering & Projects, including engineering activities, execution & follow-up projects.
• Materials & Procurement, including material management and warehouse operations
(ordering, study & evaluate technical/commercial offers, stock control, receiving &
reviewing spare parts) Exposure to SHELL-MESC.
• Refinery Revamp Project: I worked as a Project Engineer, on a large Refinery Revamp
Project (300 MM€) where I participated in the Basic & FEED with the project consultant
Foster Wheeler.
• Chairman and Member of several committees and taskforces for prequalification and
tenders’ evaluation.
