The Battle of Tannenberg was when German Empire
and The Russian Empire went to war with each other.
It was one of the first battles of WWI and it went on
from August 23-30, 1917.
The Germans pretty much wiped out The Russians
second army and also the first one.
The battle took place near Allenstein, East Prussia

The Christmas Truce happened along the
Wester Front in 1914.
Both countries were at war for a long
time and they were all sad because they
couldn’t spend christmas with their
families
Some of the men started singing
christmas carols and everyone else
started joining in.

a truce on christmas and celebrate.
They started mingling with each other
and playing soccer even though they
were in a full out war the day before.
When the day was over everyone went
back to the trenches and the next day
they went right back into war.
