WRITING
 When dealing with a writing task- to state
your opinion, follow the steps:
1. Underline key words
2. Brainstorm your ideas and write them down
3. Set your mind to the use of appropriate linking
words/ phrases.
4. Build your arguments into good, solid sentences
so that they follow a natural course.
Give examples or go from a general point to a more
specific one.

 Most people think watching TV is harmful. Personally,
I think watching TV can be beneficial.
 A friend should always be sympathetic. For example,
my friend Sally always listens quietly while I tell my problems.
 Is summer the best time for a holiday? As far as I’m concerned,
holidays can be taken at any time of the year.
 Some of the school subjects I dislike (such as
maths and chemistry), might be more interesting if
computers were used in class.
 There are a number of ways to get fit. One idea is
to go to the gym every day before school.
 Schools do not teach young people what they really need to know. I think
that schools should offer courses to help students get jobs.
 It is time we stopped watching so watching so much TV. Instead we could
play basketball or take a long walk.
 My sister keeps complaining that she doesn’t have enough pocket money
.One solution is for her to get a part – time job.
