People all around the world will make terrible mistakes, but overcoming mistakes
will only guide and build one to success. In the memoir Hole In My Life, by Jack
Gantos, the main character Jack was a brilliant writer looking for a job to pay for
his college tuition. For 10 thousand dollars he agreed to sail a boat with 2 thousand
pounds of hash along with another man, to New York City. Jack is anxious,
determined to live a better life, and impetuous to when making important decisions.
Jack is naturally an anxious person, and he lives his life on angst. Shortly after
getting on a boat with Rik and Hamilton, Jack accepts their risky smuggling

issues. The sprinklers overwater areas of the grass, leaving bog like areas that are

therefore watering large portions of the sidewalks, not only wasting water, but

water used by Baylor then it would not only be able to reduce its yearly utility bill
by a substantial amount, but also enables Baylor to be better stewards of the Earth
by saving water and reducing its carbon footprint. In order to save water Baylor

landscaping crew to find areas on campus where the grass is being overwater,

culture, a very controversial topic of discussion is whether or not genetically
modified organisms should be supported or discouraged. What even is a genetically
modified organism? Well, dictionary.com describes it as an organism or
microorganism whose genetic material has been altered by means of genetic
engineering. The main argument for the anti GMO movement is that GMOs are
unnatural. Because they are unnatural many see them as they would Frankenstein,
and write them off to be harmful. However, their argument becomes invalid because
there is an extreme misunderstanding of science behind our food. But first let s look
at our history in food growth. Almost none of the food that we eat today, besides

I.Have you ever wondered how your cameras are able to freeze a moment in time? I
have so that s why I first took a photo class when I was a sophomore in high school.
II.I am here to talk about the tradional side of film photography.
III.I have about 4 years of experience shooting black and white photography.
IV.This is important because without film photography you wouldn t be able to easily
access your camera by one click away.
V.Today I will be talking about the basic functions of traditional black and white
camera. Then I will discus how to develop a roll of film and make a print in the
darkroom.

It is fairly easy; first you cut your photo paper into strips and place it under the
Enlarger. The Enlarger is the key element in any darkroom. Place negative in the
native carrier with the emulsion side down (shiny side down). A negative carrier
is device designed to hold the negative in proper position in an enlarger. (MiMi
Photography, Negative carrier ). Open the slot on the enlarger for the negative
carrier. Slide it in and it should lock into place. Adjust enlarger head up or down to
your desired position. Place easel under the lens of the enlarger and adjust the
projected image on easel. The easels function is to hold your photo paper in place.
Focus your image by using the focus knob until you see sharp edges. Once your
image is focused, you want to set it for 5 seconds and turn off you light. Then place
your test strip below your enlarger with the shiny side up.
Grab a cardboard to cover a portion of the test strip and press the start button on
your timer. When the light goes out, move the board an inch or two and press start
button on the timer again. Repeat process until you have exposed the strip with light.

Woodstock 1969 During the 60s, it was the time of drugs, love, hippies, and the
Vietnam War. People were being sent to war while hippies just wanted peace.
Woodstock was thought up and provided peace just for them. Before Woodstock
happened in the 60s, there were many hippies everywhere. Hippies were involved
in music, drugs, peace, and love. During this time, there were four young men, the
oldest being 27, that had ideas to build a recording studio so they made up this
concert to raise money for it. The partnership was named the Woodstock Ventures. It
was going to be a three day festival of music and peace inspired by outdoor concerts
on meadows with windy roads. They also wanted there to be peaceful music under an
open sky with rolling hills, farmland, and streams. During this time, the Vietnam War
was going on. War was raging in Vietnam between the northern part of Vietnam and

hippies LOVED it. The hippies thought it was a place to do drugs, listen to music,
and be free. That s basically what it was. They didn t have to do drugs so not

The Bolshevik Revolution And The Revolution
The Bolshevik revolution started in February 1917 and concluded in October with
the seizure of power. There were different aspects that lead to this victory.
Bolsheviks had been a minority previously, but after 1917 February they started
gaining members rapidly and by 1917 October they had 350, 000 members in the
party. To see how they finally were victorious one would have to look at the
revolution as a longer phenomenon that took months to reach a final result. The
workers were significant to the Bolshevikrevolution, especially in comparison to the
other classes who contributed, but did not have the same power over the events as

Therefore, there were many violent uprisings that the government could not put an
end to during the summer of 1917. Moreover, at that time soldiers thought that after
the fall of the Tsar the war would be over, but with that as well the Provisional
Government decided to wait until the Constituent Assembly had been elected. This
lead to mass desertions from the trenches and the front. The situation was only
improved with Order no. 1 by the Soviet as they took control over the army and
created a democratized army that has been criticized by being too weak, but at that
time it did settle the soldiers for a while. Furthermore, it gained stronger support from
the soldiers to the Soviet power. With the peasantry the Bolsheviks did use the chaos
in the countryside for their gain, but other than that they were not a peasant party nor
did they think this was the right moment to interact with them. Trotsky believed that
Bolsheviks used the peasant situation, but only the workers could win the revolution
and only after seizing power could an agrarian reformation be worked into the
Bolshevik plan, thus winning over the peasants later. Also, the party leaders were not
that closely related to the workers and they certainly were not close to the peasants,
none of the leaders understood the peasants and most did not deem them important to
the revolutionary
