Hello, how are you I’m Nick
Here to teach you a fun little trick
To have a good time
when making a rhyme
Try writing your own limerick
So listen close to this song
Lines two and five are all along
And in poems of this sort
Make lines three and four short
And I promise you´ll never go wrong
There once was a very bright kid.
Was awesome in all that he did
He learned every trick
To write a limerick
And the teacher sure did flip her lid.
There was an old man with a beard
Who said, “It is just as I feared.
Two owls and a hen
Four larks and a wren
Have all built their nests in my beard!”
Now try completing this limerick:
There once was a pauper named Meg
Who accidentally broke her _______.
She slipped on the ______.
Not once, but thrice
Take no pity on her, I __________.
There was once a boy named ...............
Who liked to ..................................
But he ...................................................
And he .................................................
So he ....................................................
There is a girl from ..............................
Who usually .........................................
But she never ...........................
And she ...................................
So I promise you ...............................
