Charles got lost at sea but found himself in Tarragona, Spain. He visited an amusement park there and went on a rollercoaster but forgot to fasten his seatbelt, flying off and landing in the town of Bellpuig. There, a boy named Jordi helped him and they explored a nearby candy factory, getting locked inside overnight. The next day, workers found them covered in candy and the mayor helped Charles clean up and rest. Charles then left with Jordi to visit other countries on their horses.

2. Chapter 2:
THE CANDY FACTORY

3. After leaving Bienno, Charles found his boat and he started to
travel west. Three days later he began to think that he was
lost. Lost in the Mediterranean Sea!

4. At last he saw a
city. It was
Tarragona, an
old city on the
Catalan coast.
When he went
ashore, he found
a paper under
his foot. It was a
ticket for Port
Aventura. It was
an amusement
park. It was near
Tarragona so he
decided to visit
it.

6. In Port Aventura, Charles saw a rollercoaster called Shambhala,
one of the biggest in the world. Charles wanted to ride it so he
started to run. When it was his turn he was so excited that he
didn’t fasten his safety belt properly. The rollercoaster was
increasing speed and when it was higher Charles flew off to the
horizon.

8. He landed in Bellpuig,
a little town placed on
the west of Catalonia.
A little child found him.
His name was Jordi. He
loved dragons. He was
eating a traditional
snack: bread with
tomato and salt. It was
called “pa amb
tomata”.
Charles woke up and
saw the snack. He was
very hungry. The boy
told him:
-This is bread with
tomato. Here you are!
-Thanks! It is the best
in the world!

9. After eating, Charles saw the little town.

10. There was a candy factory near them, “La Pifarré”. Charles
and Jordi decided to visit it. But time went by very quickly
and they were locked in the factory.
-Oh, no! - said Charles – We are locked in the factory!

11. But Jordi didn’t listen to Charles. He was eating
a lot of candy and sweets. Charles started to
explore the factory. After 5 minutes he found a
machine: it was the candy kneading machine.
Charles slipped on a mysterious banana peel
and he fell into the candy. Meanwhile Jordi
decided to explore too. He found a lever, he
pressed the lever and...The machine started to
move! Charles felt dizzy soon. Jordi thought it
was time to sleep a little and he fell asleep on
the floor.

14. The next day the
workers found
Charles and Jordi
inside the factory.
Charles was full of
candy and Jordi was
sleepy and full of
candy too. After
taking Charles out
of the candy and
waking up Jordi,
they sent them to
the town hall.

15. Charles talked to the Mayor:
-Please, Mr Mayor, I need a shower and a
bed to sleep a little. Last night I didn’t
sleep because...
And he told him the story.
The Mayor answered:
-O.K. you can take a shower. Cross the
corridor and, next corridor, second door
on the left.

16. Charles took
a long,
looooong
shower to
take out all
the candy.
Then the
Mayor gave
him new
clothes and a
sofa to sleep
on.

17. The next day Charles didn’t find Jordi. He made a tour of Bellpuig
without his friend. When he was ready to leave Bellpuig, Jordi
came looking for him.
- Charles, do you want to come with me? Let’s go to visit other
countries. Maybe I will meet a dragon…

18. Jordi gave Charles a horse and, for him, he took a pony.
The two friends left Bellpuig and they went to a beautiful
country called...
But that’s another story.
