This study aims to determine outcomes for Wound dehiscence in surgical procedures and its relationship to increased mortality. Twenty-five patients were collected from different hospitals in Iraq with intestinal obstruction, and they were distributed into two groups according to gender (15 males, ten females), and the average age ranged between 25-50 years. This retrospective study included those patients who were after bowel surgery at different hospitals in Iraq between January 6, 2020, and May 27, 2021, where information was obtained by reviewing clinical records. The statistical analysis program IBM SPSS SOFT 18 was also relied upon for the purpose of knowing the true value and standard regression in addition to the percentage of healthy variables to patients. Microsoft Excel 2013 was used for the purpose of describing and analysing demographic data. the results which found of this study collected 25 patients, and MEAN VALUE with slandered div of age patients was 39.4800 ± 6.8, and the type of anaesthesia used in this study was general anaesthesia. Causes of the bowel surgery according to the sex of the patients were (Mesenteric Ischaemia for one female patient and three male patients and Blunt trauma was one patient for both sexes. Bowel surgery, according to emergency basis and elective basis, was the emergency basis for 19 patients and elective for six patients. Association between Surgery * sex * presence of leaks Cross-tabulation were nine patients for an emergency basis and one patient for Elective. In this study, the mortality rate was higher for males than for females (1.4 patients), respectively and we concluded that there is a statistical relationship between the death rate and its prevalence among men
Correlation between vascular endothelial growth factor-A expression and tumor...UniversitasGadjahMada
Vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A) has been observed as the predominant angiogenic factor in colorectal cancer (CRC) and the assessment of microvessel density (MVD) has been used to quantify tumor neoangiogenesis. This study aimed to determine clinicopathological and prognostic significance of both angiogenic markers in the local CRC patients. We analyzed tissue samples obtained from 81 cases with CRC. VEGF-A expression and MVD counts were immunohistochemically detected using anti VEGF-A and CD31. The assessments of both markers were classified as low and high. Correlation between VEGF-A expression and MVD value and clinicopathological characteristics were examined using Chi-square test. The overall survival (OS) was plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method. The results indicated a high VEGF-A expression was found more frequently in the rectal location (P=0.042) and T4 tumors (P=0.041) compared to their counterparts. Older patients tended to show a higher MVD value compared to younger cases (P=0.062). In addition, survival analysis showed that males had a worse OS compared to females (P=0.029), and VEGF-A expression and MVD count did not correlate with patients’ survival. In conclusion, there were significant differences of VEGF-A expression according to tumor location and T invasion. Sex, but not angiogenic markers, had an influence on the survival of CRC patients.
PERFORATIVE PERITONITIS: CONTINUING SURGICAL CHALLENGE.(PROSPECTIVE STUDY OF ...KETAN VAGHOLKAR
Background: Perforative peritonitis poses a significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to the attending
surgeon. Delay in diagnosis followed by sub-optimal treatment may lead to many complications, thereby increasing both
morbidity and mortality. This is by virtue of various factors which affect the prognosis. Hence the need arises to identify
these prognostic factors. Aims and Objectives: To study the various etiological factors of perforative peritonitis and to
identify prognostic factors and comorbid conditions which influence the outcome in perforative peritonitis. Materials
and Methods: 50 patients with an established diagnosis of perforative peritonitis due to various aetiologies confirmed
by clinical and radiological investigations were included in the study and studied prospectively. On admission to the
hospital, various haematological and radiological investigations were conducted to confirm the diagnosis. Patients
subsequently underwent surgical intervention. Postoperative recovery and outcomes assessed. Results were tabulated
and statistically analysed. Results: The mean age of patients in the study was 36.5 ±5 years. Patients who presented
in an advanced stage developed complications. The majority of patients were males. The interval between the onset
of symptoms and operative intervention was directly related to postoperative complications. Pneumoperitoneum was
the most common x-ray finding, followed by dilated bowel loops with free fluid in the peritoneal cavity as the most
common ultrasonography finding. Tachycardia and oliguria, which were markers of the severity of the disease process,
were associated with an increased rate of complications. Peptic ulcer perforation was the most common, followed by
perforations caused by infective aetiology. Perforations caused by infective aetiology had a higher rate of complication.
Primary closure of the perforation was the most commonly performed procedure. Significant abdominal contamination
found intraoperatively contributed to a negative outcome, as were comorbid conditions, which also increased the
complication rate significantly. Conclusion: Delayed intervention after the onset of symptoms, tachycardia, oliguria
and comorbidities are associated with a higher complication rate. Radiological investigations help in confirming the
diagnosis. Infective aetiology of the perforation and extensive peritoneal contamination was associated with higher
complication rates. Prompt and aggressive resuscitation on admission, optimum antibiotic administration, and early
meticulous surgical intervention can reduce morbidity and mortality to a bare minimum.
Safety, risk of complications and the functional feasibility among different kinds of central venous access are still a matter of debate. Not many clinical trials have reported a comparison of complications and patency of CVCs versus Peripherally Inserted Catheters (PICC) as central venous access for indoor patients with advanced gastrointestinal disorder. The aim of the present study was to compare CVCs and PICCs regarding function, complications and convenience in a controlled clinical study on patients aimed for oncology surgery aimed for cure.
Distributions of patients were comparable. Malignant diagnoses were significantly higher among CVC-patients. CVCs and PICCs were used for treatment during equal number of days, without any signifi cant complication rates and with comparable number of days on antibiotics and other potent drugs. The overall cumulative hazard (risk) for treatment interruptions, due to either full-filled clinical indications or due to any complication among the subgroups of patients did not differ.Central Venous Catheter and Peripheral Inserted Central Venous Catheter, for central venous access, did not differ among consecutive unselected patients with serious gastro-intestinal disorders.
Comparison of Infection Episodes in CKD Patients with or without Hemodialysis...ijtsrd
Chronic kidney diseases CKD is a progressive and irreversible deterioration of renal function. Patients with CKD are prone to a variety of infections. Further chronic hemodialysis increases the infections and related morbidity and mortality. The present study was conducted to assess the probability of infection episode in CKD patients in patients with or without haemodialysis. A Cross sectional observational study was conducted with a total 56 patients with CKD. Clinical and biochemical data related to infections were collected from the individual patient records. The results showed that the chills and rigors, increased TLC, and elevated ESR were found to more in CKD patients on chronic haemodialysis. Further, our results suggested that CKD patient population showed increased-risk for the development of lethal sepsis. Hence, identification of the causes of infection and the appropriate treatment based on the severity of symptoms are essential for CKD patients who are on dialysis. Abstract
Background: The surgical safety checklist is widely used to improve the quality of perioperative care. However, clinicians
continue to debate the clinical effectiveness of this tool.
Methods: Prospective analysis of data from the International Surgical Outcomes Study (ISOS), an international obser-
vational study of elective in-patient surgery, accompanied by a systematic review and meta-analysis of published
literature. The exposure was surgical safety checklist use. The primary outcome was in-hospital mortality and the
secondary outcome was postoperative complications. In the ISOS cohort, a multivariable multi-level generalized linear
model was used to test associations. To further contextualise these findings, we included the results from the ISOS
cohort in a meta-analysis. Results are reported as odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals.
Results: We included 44 814 patients from 497 hospitals in 27 countries in the ISOS analysis. There were 40 245 (89.8%)
patients exposed to the checklist, whilst 7508 (16.8%) sustained 1 postoperative complications and 207 (0.5%) died
before hospital discharge. Checklist exposure was associated with reduced mortality [odds ratio (OR) 0.49 (0.32e0.77);
P<0.01], but no difference in complication rates [OR 1.02 (0.88e1.19); P¼0.75]. In a systematic review, we screened 3732

The Statutory Interpretation of Renewable Energy Based on Syllogism of Britis...AI Publications
The current production for energy consumption generates harmful impacts of carbon dioxide to the environment causing instability to sustainable development goals. The constitutional reforms of British Government serve to be an important means of resolving any encountered incompatibilities to political environment. This study aims to evaluate green economy using developed equation for renewable energy towards political polarization of corporate governance. The Kano Model Assessment is used to measure the equivalency of 1970 Patents Act to UK Intellectual Property tabulating the criteria for the fulfillment of sustainable development goals in respect to the environment, artificial intelligence, and dynamic dichotomy of administrative agencies and presidential restriction, as statutory interpretation development to renewable energy. The constitutional forms of British government satisfy the sustainable development goals needed to fight climate change, advocate healthy ecosystem, promote leadership of magnates, and delegate responsibilities towards green economy. The presidential partisanship must be observed to delineate parties of concerns and execute the government prescriptions in equivalence to the dichotomous relationship of technology and the environment in fulfilling the rights and privileges of all citizens. Hence, the political elites can execute corporate governance towards sustainable development of renewable energy promoting environmental parks and zero emission target of carbon dioxide discharges. The economic theory developed in statutory interpretation for renewable energy serves as a tool to reduce detrimental impacts of carbon dioxide to the environment, mitigate climate change, and produce artefacts of bioenergy and artificial intelligence promoting sustainable development. It is suggested to explore other vulnerabilities of artificial intelligence to prosper economic success.

Analysis of Value Chain of Cow Milk: The Case of Itang Special Woreda, Gambel...AI Publications
Ethiopia has a long and rich history of dairy farming, which was mostly carried out by small and marginal farmers who raised cattle, camels, goats, and sheep, among other species, for milk. Finding the Itang Special Woreda cow milk value chain is the study's main goal. In order to gather primary data, 204 smallholder dairy farmer households were randomly selected, and the market concentration ratio was calculated using 20 traders. Descriptive statistics, econometric models, and rank analysis were used to achieve the above specified goals. Out of all the participants in the milk value chain, producers, cafés, hotels, and dairy cooperatives had the largest gross marketing margins, accounting for 100% of the consumer price in channels I and II, 55% in channels III and V, and 25.5% in channels V. The number of children under five, the number of milking cows owned, the amount of money from non-dairy sources, the frequency of extension service contacts, the amount of milk produced each day, and the availability of market information were found to have an impact on smallholders' involvement in the milk market. Numerous obstacles also limited the amount of milk produced and marketed. The poll claims that general health issues, sickness, predators, and a lack of veterinary care are plaguing farmers. In order to address the issue of milk perishability, the researchers recommended the host community and organization to construct an agro milk processor, renovate the dairy cooperative in the study region, and restructure the current conventional marketing to lower the transaction and cost of milk marketing.
Minds and Machines: Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Investment Decisions ...AI Publications
In the evolving landscape of financial decision-making, this study delves into the intricate relationships among Emotional Intelligence (EI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Investment Decisions (ID). By scrutinizing the direct influence of human emotional intelligence on investment choices and elucidating the mediating role of AI in this process, our research seeks to unravel the complex interplay between minds and machines. Through empirical analysis, we reveal that EI not only directly impacts ID but also exerts its influence indirectly through AI-mediated pathways. The findings underscore the pivotal role of emotional awareness in investor decision-making, augmented by the technological capabilities of AI. It suggests that most investors are influenced by the identified emotional intelligence when making investment decisions. Furthermore, AI substantially impacts investors' decision-making process when it comes to investing; nevertheless, AI partially mediates the relationship between emotional intelligence and investment decisions. This nuanced understanding provides valuable insights for financial practitioners, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing the need for holistic strategies that integrate emotional and technological dimensions in navigating the intricacies of modern investment landscapes. As the synergy between human intuition and artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integral to financial decision-making, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on the symbiotic relationship between minds and machines in investments.0
Bronchopulmonary cancers are common cancers with a poor prognosis. It is the leading cause of death by cancer in Algeria and in the world. Behind this unfavorable prognosis hides numerous disparities according to age, sex, and exposure to risk factors, ranking 4th among incident cancers and developing countries including Algeria, all sexes combined. It ranks 2nd cancers in men and 3rd among women. Whatever the age observed, the incidence of this cancer is higher in men than in women, however the gap is narrowing to the detriment of the latter. The results of scientific research agree to relate trends in incidence and mortality rates to tobacco consumption, including passive smoking. Furthermore, other risk factors are mentioned such as exposure to asbestos in the workplace or to radon for the general population, or even genetic predisposition. However, the weight of these etiological and/or predisposing factors is in no way comparable to that of tobacco in the genesis of lung cancer and the resulting mortality. We provide a literature review in our article on the descriptive and analytical epidemiology of lung cancer.

Growth, Yield and Economic Advantage of Onion (Allium cepa L.) Varieties in R...AI Publications
Haphazard and low soil fertility, low yielding verities and poor agronomic practices are among the major factors constraining onion production in the central rift valley of Ethiopia. Therefore, a field experiment was conducted in East Showa Zone of Adami Tulu Jido Combolcha district in central rift valley areas at ziway from October 2021 to April 2022 to identify appropriate rate of NPSB fertilizer and planting pattern of onion varieties. The experiment was laid out in split plot design of factorial arrangement in three replications. The main effect of NPSB blended fertilizer rates and varieties (red coach and red king) significantly (p<0.01) influenced plant height, leaf length, leaf diameter, leaf number and fresh leaf weight, shoot dry matter per plant, and harvest index. Total dry biomass, bulb diameter, neck diameter, average fresh bulb weight, bulb dry matter, marketable bulb yield, and total bulb yield were significantly (p<0.01) influenced only by the main effect of NPSB blended fertilizer rates. In addition, unmarketable bulb yield was statistically significantly affected (p≥0.05) by the blended fertilizer rates and planting pattern. Moreover, days to 90% maturity of onion was affected by the main factor of NPSB fertilizer rate, variety and planting pattern. The non-fertilized plants in the control treatment were inferior in all parameters except unmarketable bulb yield and harvest index. Significantly higher marketable bulb yield (41 t ha-1) and total bulb yield (41.33 t ha-1) was recorded from 300 kg ha-1 NPSB blended fertilizer rate applied. Double row planting method and hybrid red coach onion variety had also gave higher growth and yields. The study revealed that the highest net benefit of Birr, 878,894 with lest cost of Birr 148,006 by the combinations of 150 kg blended NPSB ha-1 with double row planting method (40cm*20cm*7cm) and red coach variety which can be recommendable for higher marketable bulb yield and economic return of hybrid onion for small scale farmers in the study area. Also, for resource full producers (investors), highest net benefit of Birr 1,205,372 with higher cost (159,628 Birr) by application of 300 kg NPSB ha-1 is recommended as a second option. However, the research should be replicated both in season and areas to more verify the recommendations.
Evaluation of In-vitro neuroprotective effect of Ethanolic extract of Canariu...AI Publications
The ethanolic extract of canarium solomonense leaves (ecsl) was studied for its neuroprotective activity. The neuroprotective activity of ECSL was found to have a significant impact on neuronal cell death triggered by hydrogen peroxide (MTT assay) in human SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. Scopolamine, a muscarinic receptor blocker, is frequently used to induce cognitive impairment in laboratory animals. Injections of scopolamine influence multiple cognitive functions, including motor function, short-term memory, and attention. Using the Morris water maze, the Y maze, and the passive avoidance paradigm, memory enhancing activity in scopolamine-induced amnesic rats was evaluated. Using the Morris water maze, the Y maze, and the passive avoidance paradigm, ECSL was found to have a substantial effect on the memory of scopolamine- induced amnesic rats. Our experimental data indicated that ECSL can reverse scopolamine induced amnesia and assist with memory issues.
The goal of neuroprotection is to shield neurons against damage, whether that damage is caused by environmental factors, pathogens, or neurodegenerative illnesses. Inhibiting protein-based deposit buildup, oxidative stress, and neuroinflammation, as well as rectifying abnormalities of neurotransmitters like dopamine and acetylcholine, are some of the ways in which medicinal herbs have neuroprotective effects [1-3]. This review will focus on the ways in which medicinal herbs may protect neurons.

The Impacts of Viral Hepatitis on Liver Enzymes and BilrubinAI Publications
Viral hepatitis is an infection that causes liver inflammation and damage. Several different viruses cause hepatitis, including hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. The hepatitis A and E viruses typically cause acute infections. The hepatitis B, C, and D viruses can cause acute and chronic infections. Hepatitis A causes only acute infection and typically gets better without treatment after a few weeks. The hepatitis A virus spreads through contact with an infected person’s stool. Protection by getting the hepatitis A vaccine. Hepatitis E is typically an acute infection that gets better without treatment after several weeks. Some types of hepatitis E virus are spread by drinking water contaminated by an infected person’s stool. Other types are spread by eating undercooked pork or wild game. Hepatitis B can cause acute or chronic infection. Recommendation for screening for hepatitis B in pregnant women or in those with a high chance of being infected. Protection from hepatitis B by getting the hepatitis B vaccine. Hepatitis C can cause acute or chronic infection. Doctors usually recommend one-time screening of all adults ages 18 to 79 for hepatitis C. Early diagnosis and treatment can prevent liver damage. The hepatitis D virus is unusual because it can only infect those who have a hepatitis B virus infection. A coinfection occurs when both hepatitis D and hepatitis B infections at the same time. A superinfection occurs already have chronic hepatitis B and then become infected with hepatitis D. The aim of this study is to find the effect of each type of viral hepatitis on the bilirubin (TB , DSB) , and liver enzymes; AST, ALT, ALP,GGT among viral hepatitis patients. 200 patients were selected from the viral hepatitis units in the central public health laboratory in Baghdad city, all the chosen cases were confirmed as a positive samples , they are classified into four equal group each with fifty individual and with a single serological viral hepatitis type either; anti-HAV( IgM ) , HBs Ag , anti-HCV ,or anti-HEV(IgM ). Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

Lung Cancer: Artificial Intelligence, Synergetics, Complex System Analysis, S...Oleg Kshivets
RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

associated with higher morbidity and mortality than an
anastomotic leak, which occurs in up to 53% of cases
[8,9]. According to the UK Surgical Infection Study
Group, from previous studies, complications had been
fever, per ostomy clusters (hematomas, or abscesses),
sepsis, Postoperative pain, which is one of the most
common symptoms, which negatively affects patients'
lives, changes in bowel function, the appearance of
adhesions on the intestines [10,11]
In order to reduce morbidity, early detection and treatment
of anastomotic leaks is essential. In many hospitals, a
routine contrast study is performed in the first week after
surgery in order to detect subclinical anastomotic leaks.
Low sensitivity of the contrast study has been reported,
and the gold standard for detecting anastomotic leaks has
not yet been established. [12]
The aim of our work was to find out Wound dehiscence in
surgical procedures and its relationship to increased
mortality and to evaluate the risk factors that determine in
patients.
II. MATERIAL AND METHOD
Twenty-five patients were collected from different
hospitals in Iraq with intestinal obstruction, and they were
distributed into two groups according to gender (15 males,
ten females), and the average age ranged between 25-50
years.
This retrospective study included those patients who were
after bowel surgery at different hospitals in Iraq between
January 6, 2020, and May 27, 2021, where information
was obtained by reviewing clinical records.
Inclusion criterion was defined as the patient who
underwent bowel surgery for any indication, with a
complete clinical history.
As exclusion criteria, those surgical techniques that
included an intervention and patients who did not meet the
complete clinical information were established.
The variables studied were age, sex, indication for surgery
and comorbidities, clinical stage in cases of malignant
lesions, neoadjuvant therapy, surgical technique and
complications, time of operation, bleeding, presence of an
anastomotic leak, and detection of the leak by contrast
study.
Although there are a group of techniques used for bowel
obstruction surgery, and one of the most important steps
that have been taken into account, some steps have been
taken into account, which was The surgery is performed
under general anaesthesia.
The operation can be performed in two ways; Open
surgery, where the surgeon makes an incision in the
abdomen to be able to see the intestines, or using a
laparoscope
In this study, the types of Malignancy were classified into
four types) Ca caecum, Ca sigmoid, Ca colon(, Rectum
The statistical analysis program IBM SPSS SOFT 18 was
also relied upon for the purpose of knowing the true value
and standard regression in addition to the percentage of
healthy variables to patients. Microsoft Excel 2013 was
used for the purpose of describing and analysing
demographic data.
To compare categorical variables, the person correlation
test was used, and an odds ratio (OR) was estimated with a
95% confidence interval. The p-value test was used for the
numerical variables.
Data were analyzed using the SPSS 18 statistical package,
and a p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically
significant.

IV. DISCUSSION
In this study, 25 patients were collected from different
hospitals in Iraq where they were distributed into two
groups (25 male and ten female patients), where the
average age ranged from 25 to 50 years, and the data were
analysed using the program IBM SPSS SOFT 18 It was
MEAN VALUE AND slandered div of age patients was
39.4800 ± 6.8, and the type of anaesthesia used in this
study was general anaesthesia.
As for the diseases associated with patients, they were
the most prevalent in this study Diabetes for ten patients,
arterial hypertension for seven patients, and heart disease
for eight patients. In this study, 9 out of 25 patients were
smokers.
In this study, patients were distributed according to
Types of Malignancy, and Casigmoid was the most
prevalent in this study for two female patients and ten male
patients, Ca caecum for three female patients, Ca colon for
three female patients, and three male patients, Rectum for
two female patients and four male patients.
For the intestinal anastomosis to be successful, three
basic conditions must exist lack of tension, adequate blood
flow, and an inverted anastomosis (mucosal layer). [13,14]
Some of the factors affecting the outcome of the
intestinal anastomosis are inherent to the patient, such as
nutritional status, underlying disease, and age, or they
depend on the surgical technique, such as the anastomosis
tension, the type of anastomosis, and the technique used.
Given that patient-dependent factors are largely
immutable, the surgical technique is one aspect in which

surgeons can have the greatest impact in reducing the
incidence of complications from anastomotic failure. [15]
The incidence of anastomosis leakage ranges between
2% and 5% in various previous studies, and it is variable in
patients suffering from trauma, cancer, or benign diseases,
as well as in colon surgeries, where the percentage can be
higher than 30%, which leads to high rates of morbidity
and mortality for patients in addition to the apparent cost
overruns of the health system. [16,17]
The technique of performing bowel anastomosis has
been a topic of debate among general surgeons for
decades. There are currently a number of techniques for
performing the anastomotic suture, with well-known such
as Lembert and Gambee [18].
Nowadays, thanks to the development of new
technologies, modern methods of surgical intervention
have appeared, and In this case, we are talking about
laparoscopic resection of the colon and rectum, which is
performed through small incisions. [19,20]
Thus, colectomy today is performed in two ways:
through laparotomy and laparoscopy. Operations through a
wide incision in the abdominal wall are obviously more
traumatic, although they provide sufficient visualization
and access to the lesion.
Laparoscopic surgeries are less risky but require
expensive tools and equipment. In addition, such
operations are very specific and can only be performed by
highly trained and qualified professionals.
Segment resections begin with the junction of the
interested vessels. After the bowel is isolated (mobilization
stage), the affected intestine is removed through a small
incision in the anterior abdominal wall. Resection and
anastomosis are performed outside the abdominal cavity
(extracorporeally).
Left segment resection includes the same stages of
vascular removal and mobilization, and the anastomosis is
formed depending on the anatomical conditions. If the
length of the loop is sufficient, the affected area is
removed through a small incision in the anterior abdominal
wall, and excision and extraperitoneal anastomosis are
performed.
Previous studies convincingly demonstrate that the
results of laparoscopic surgery do not differ from those of
open surgery.
V. CONCLUSION
In this study, higher leakage was found in the
anastomosis of the large intestine, and no statistical
differences were found between the anastomotic leakage
rate and the surgical technique that was used in this study.
Males to females, and through the Pearson correlation, we
found that the study revealed a statistical relationship
between the death rate and its prevalence among men.
