• Where Aztec used to to be is modern day

• Mountains run along both Mexico’s Western
coast and Gulf coast.
• Then the Yucatan Peninsula
3. Culture
• Everyone helped in the household.
• The men went to the farm or some other work
• The mother stays at home and tends to the
kids and weaves
• They ate corn on the cob and used the kernels
in the soup called Pozole
4. Leadership
• Montezuma II let Cortez into the city of
Tenochtitlan and one year later the city was
destroyed by Cortez and the renamed it
Mexico City, New Spain
5. Religion
• It is called Mesoamerican it had elements of
the human sacrifice and a large number of
festivals.
6. Military
• Warriors were very high in the caste system
along with priest and other highly ranked
officials
7. The end of the Aztecs
• Cortez got let to Tenochtitlan by Montezuma II
they captured the new emperor Cuauhtémoc
then slowly took the city after they hade it
they renamed it Mexico City.
8. Achievements
• They were one of the first empires that made
education mandatory for his citizens . They
also invented the chocolate tree and popcorn.
