It is the dream of every person to have a house, even if it is small but they have their own house. This is the reason that every year on the first Monday of October, World Habitat Day is celebrated all over the world. World Habitat Day is celebrated with the aim of spreading awareness about our basic rights like Bread, Cloth, and Shelter.
The reason we are celebrating World Environment Day 2022 has some history behind it. The United Nations launched World Environment Day in 1972 as a result of debates about the implementation of human relationships as well as the ecosystem at the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment (5–16 June 1972). The first World Environment Day (WED) was commemorated two years later, in 1974, with the theme “Only One Earth.” Despite the fact that WED celebrations have been held annually since 1974, the concept of rotating the center of these events by selecting various host countries originated in 1987.
On this day, governments, NGOs, and citizens work to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and the negative effects of human activity on the environment.
When is world environment day 2022
Like every year World Environment Day 2022 will be celebrated on 5th June. But the host country changes every year. This year World Environment Day will be celebrated in Sweden.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stockholm Conference, the Geneva Environmental Network will host an event commemorating the landmark declaration affirming the fundamental right to a decent, productive, and supportive future. The honor comes at a time when our world is in the midst of a triple environmental crisis. Climate change, pollution of the air, land, and water, and the accompanying loss of biodiversity, all have a detrimental effect just on the timely and appropriate exercise of all human rights, putting the Sustainability Objectives in jeopardy (SDGs). Register today to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to commemorate such occasions, which will take place on June 30th at 16.00 CEST, whether in person or online.
World Environment Day also called
UN World Environment Day. Also called. Eco Day, Environment Day, WED (world environment day), and International Environment Day.
world environment day 2022 theme
The fact that, as I previously stated, the inaugural World Environment Day was held in 1974 in Spokane, Washington, with the subject “Only One Earth,” and that the topic for World Environment Day 2022 will also be “Only One Earth,” which will be held in Sweden on June 5th.
Now the question is what is behind the theme of World Environment Day 2022 and it is repeated?
The slogan for the 1972 Stockholm Conference was “Only One Earth,” and this concept still remains true 50 years later:
This planet is our only home.
With nature in a state of emergency, the #OnlyOneEarth initiative for World Environment Day 2022 encourages you to honor the earth by taking collective environmental responsibility.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.

Every year on the first Monday in October, World Habitat Day is observed. The United Nations
has officially recognized the day. The day is celebrated to recognize the situation of our cities
and towns as well as everyone's fundamental right to adequate shelter. The purpose of the day
is to raise awareness of the public's ability and duty to influence the future of our
cities. Whether it is scorching heat or severe cold or heavy rain, our home saves us from all
these. No matter where we go to any corner of the world, in the end, we remember our home,
but have you ever thought that who saves those who do not have a home from the scorching
heat, severe cold, and heavy rain?
It is the dream of every person to have a house, even if it is small but they have their own
house. World Habitat Day is celebrated with the aim of spreading awareness about our basic
rights like bread, cloth, and house.

Whether one is rich or poor, after working hard all day, everyone sees
his home as a shelter. The same is true not only of us humans but also
of animals and birds. Animals and birds roaming in search of food and
water throughout the day also leave for their homes by evening. Home
is another name for comfort, it gives us a feeling of being safe. In the
basic necessities of a person, after bread and clothes, the house has a
place.
It is the dream of every person to have a house, even if it is small but
they have their own house. This is the reason that every year on the
first Monday of October, World Habitat Day is celebrated all over the
world. World Habitat Day is celebrated with the aim of spreading
awareness about our basic rights like Bread, Cloth, and Shelter.
World Habitat Day inspires us to consider our fundamental right to
adequate shelter. The day serves as a reminder that we are in charge of
determining how our cities and towns will develop.

4. History And Significance Of World Habitat Day
The first World Habitat Day was held in 1986 in the city of Nairobi, the
Capital of Kenya, and was celebrated with the theme "Shelter Is My Right".
Let us tell you that this day is celebrated every year on the first Monday of
October with different themes.
For the first time in 1985, this day was declared as a resolution by the
United Nations General Assembly. On this day, the United Nations
discusses the activities, events, plans for better development, and how to
achieve these goals related to the housing system. As we told you that this
day is celebrated with different themes every year and these themes are
related to themes like a shelter for the homeless, better urban life, safe and
good cities, development of slum areas, and housing for all. it occurs.
The special purpose of celebrating this day is to recognize the basic rights
of human beings (such as bread, cloth, and house) and to give adequate
shelter to every person. The purpose of celebrating this day is to end
poverty and improve the condition of every town in the world. Every year
the UN sets a new theme for this day to promote development around the
world.
Importance Of A Safe Habitat
As the world's population is increasing rapidly, climate change, waste
management, and providing clean water for all have become a matter of
concern today. Waste management is not being done properly in many big
cities because the waste management system in big cities is not enough to
meet the needs of the growing population.
5. That is why in 2018 World Habitat Day was celebrated with the theme Municipal Solid Waste
Management. If we do not pay attention to the problem of household waste and the
maintenance of the dump site, then it will not be possible to deal with the problem of pollution,
that is why it is important to pay attention to waste management. If every city has a good waste
management system, it will also have a positive impact on the environment, public health, and
climate change.
Keeping this in mind, in 2019, the theme of Frontier Technologies as an Innovative Tool to
Transform Waste to Wealth has been kept so that it is possible to make money from waste too.
We are all aware that technology has the potential to improve and make things better, so it is a
good decision to use technology to avoid devastating impacts on public health, the
environment, and climate change.
Today on one hand the same person has many houses while on the other hand thousands of
people die simply because of this reason because they do not have a house. You must have also
read much such news in which it has been told that many homeless people have died due to
severe cold in the winter season and now it has become a regular story that is why every person
should have a safe house. For a sustainable lifestyle, it has become extremely important today
to address all the challenges faced by the human population.
Let us tell you that the purpose of World Habitat Day is not just to provide homes to the
homeless. The purpose of this day is also to establish a better social system. If people are also
living in the settlement, then it should be equipped with all facilities and people should feel safe
there.
