Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.
The beginning of Earth Day dates back in 1968 when the Human Ecology Symposium was held. With the
U.S. Public Health Service, Morton Hilbert organized an environmental conference for students where they
could learn more from scientists about the effects of environmental degradation on human health. For the
next two years, Hilbert and the students worked to plan the first Earth Day. In April 1970, along with a federal
proclamation from the U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson, the first Earth Day was officially held. This day impelled
the U.S. Congress to develop some of the most significant environmental legislation.

World Habitat Day 2022: Every Person Should Have A Safe Housethinkwithniche
It is the dream of every person to have a house, even if it is small but they have their own house. This is the reason that every year on the first Monday of October, World Habitat Day is celebrated all over the world. World Habitat Day is celebrated with the aim of spreading awareness about our basic rights like Bread, Cloth, and Shelter.
Concept of Sustainable Development: Strategies, opportunities and implementat...PETER NAIBEI
The presentation highlights the concept of Sustainable Development contemporary issues in environmental policy in the global and Kenya context (strategies, opportunities and implementation).
POWERING GROWTH FOR THE GLOBAL GREEN ECONOMY
As world leaders struggle to negotiate a new global climate deal, businesses across the globe are already addressing climate change together with many other urgent environmental issues, turning crises into opportunity through green leadership and innovation.
Companies are transforming the way they operate by developing new products and services to solve the world’s environmental challenges and reduce greenhouse emissions. Powering growth for a global green economy. But there’s still much to be done.
B4E, the Business for Environment Global Summit, is the leading international conference for dialogue and business-driven action for the environment. The 4th annual summit will be held in Seoul, South Korea, in April 2010. CEOs and senior executives from some of the world’s largest multinational corporations will join leaders from governments, international agencies and NGOs to discuss resource and energy efficiency, green growth strategies, clean tech innovations and partnerships.
Over three days of presentations, seminars and debate, B4E 2010 will galvanize the international business community into further action, highlighting the vital role that companies can play and inspiring them to become low carbon leaders.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year. It is the United Nations' flagship day for promoting worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world. This year, the day is being hosted by our neighboring country Pakistan in partnership with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) with the theme of 'ecosystem restoration.' With the Covid19 pandemic, the climate has been suffering evermore with the increased use of plastic and non-biodegradable things including PPE kits, masks and other things. This year, the urgency of preventing, halting and reversing the degradation of ecosystems worldwide is the main focus.
UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen said, "2020 was a year of reckoning, facing multiple crises, including a global pandemic and the continued crises of climate, nature and pollution. In 2021, we must take deliberate steps to move from crisis to healing: and in so doing, we must recognize that the restoration of nature is imperative to the survival of our planet and the human race."
Python Strings Format – Definition and Usage
Using curly brackets, we define the placeholder: {}. In the Placeholder section below, you can learn more about the placeholders.
Strings and numbers cannot be combined like this in Python Variables:
What Is The Format Of a String In Python?
When we talk about Python strings format then in Python, a string is a sequence of characters enclosed in either single quotes (‘ ‘) or double quotes (” “). The choice between single or double quotes is up to the programmer, and both are used interchangeably.
Here are a few examples of string literals in Python:
name = ‘John’ message = “Hello, world!” sentence = “I’m learning Python.”
Python also supports triple quotes (”’ ”’) or (“”” “””) to represent multiline strings. Triple quotes allow you to include line breaks and preserve the formatting of the text. Here’s an example:
paragraph = ”’This is a multiline string. It spans multiple lines and preserves the line breaks and formatting.”’
In addition to the basic string literals, Python provides various string manipulation methods and features that allow you to work with strings efficiently.
What Is .2f Python Format?
In Python, the .2f format specifier is used to format floating-point numbers as strings with two decimal places. This format specifier is part of the Python strings format syntax in Python.
When using the .2f format specifier, the number will be rounded to two decimal places and displayed with two digits after the decimal point. If the number has fewer than two decimal places, it will be padded with zeros.
Here’s an example that demonstrates the usage of the .2f format specifier:
number = 3.14159 formatted_number = “{:.2f}”.format(number) print(formatted_number)
Output:
3.14
In this example, the variable number contains the value 3.14159. By applying the .2f format specifier within the format() method and using the “{:.2f}” format string, the number is formatted to have two decimal places. The resulting formatted number is then printed, which outputs 3.14.
You can also achieve the same result using f-strings, which is a more concise and preferred way of string formatting in Python 3.6 and above:
number = 3.14159 formatted_number = f”{number:.2f}” print(formatted_number)
The output will be the same as before: 3.14.
What Is %d In String Format?
In Python, the %d format specifier is used to format integers as strings within the context of the old-style string formatting method. It allows you to insert integer values into a string when it comes to Python strings format.
Here’s an example that demonstrates the usage of %d in string formatting:
age = 25 message = “I am %d years old.” % age print(message)
Output:
I am 25 years old.
In this example, the integer value age is inserted into the string using %d. The % operator is used to combine the format string with the value to be formatted. The resulting string is then printed.
Note that the %d format specifier only works with integers.

The Solidity programming language is a contract-oriented, high-level language used for building smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) that execute on blockchain platforms.
It was introduced by Ethereum, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, and has since become the most widely used programming language for smart contract development.
Solidity is a statically-typed language, which means that data types are explicitly defined and checked at compile time.
In addition to being heavily influenced by C++, Python, and JavaScript, Solidity intends to target Ethereum Virtual Machines (EVMs). It is similar to C++ in its syntax and is designed to be easy to learn for developers who are familiar with object-oriented programming concepts.
Here we learn Python strings methods in the hope that it will meet your educational needs.
There are a number of Python built-in methods that can be used to manipulate strings.
There is one thing to keep in mind when using string methods: they all return new values. In other words, they do not change the original string in any way.
It is imperative to note that Python strings methods return rewritten values. The original string remains unchanged.
Python Strings Tutorial explains strings in more detail.
The following is an in-depth explanation of Python Strings Methods, with examples for each method.
Capitalize() method generates a string with the first character in upper case, and the remaining characters in lower case.
Python Variables
Python variables are containers for storing values. The type of variables can be declared before using them. Once we assign a value to a variable, it becomes a variable. There is no static typing in Python.
Python Variable Creation
There is no command for declaring a variable in Python when we speak about variables.
In the below example we have created a variable in Python.
It is unnecessary to make variables of a specific type, and they can even switch types once they have been assigned.
Casting:
Casting in Python variables allows you to specify the data type of a variable.
Python Variable Types
In data types, data items are classified or categorized. In other words, it indicates what operations can be performed on a particular data set. A Python variable is an instance (object) of a class, since everything is an object in Python programming.
The following are Python’s standard data types:
Numeric.
Sequence Type.
Boolean.
Set.
Dictionary.
The next section of this tutorial will go into more detail about data types and casting.

Deep Behavioral Phenotyping in Systems Neuroscience for Functional Atlasing a...Ana Luísa Pinho
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) provides means to characterize brain activations in response to behavior. However, cognitive neuroscience has been limited to group-level effects referring to the performance of specific tasks. To obtain the functional profile of elementary cognitive mechanisms, the combination of brain responses to many tasks is required. Yet, to date, both structural atlases and parcellation-based activations do not fully account for cognitive function and still present several limitations. Further, they do not adapt overall to individual characteristics. In this talk, I will give an account of deep-behavioral phenotyping strategies, namely data-driven methods in large task-fMRI datasets, to optimize functional brain-data collection and improve inference of effects-of-interest related to mental processes. Key to this approach is the employment of fast multi-functional paradigms rich on features that can be well parametrized and, consequently, facilitate the creation of psycho-physiological constructs to be modelled with imaging data. Particular emphasis will be given to music stimuli when studying high-order cognitive mechanisms, due to their ecological nature and quality to enable complex behavior compounded by discrete entities. I will also discuss how deep-behavioral phenotyping and individualized models applied to neuroimaging data can better account for the subject-specific organization of domain-general cognitive systems in the human brain. Finally, the accumulation of functional brain signatures brings the possibility to clarify relationships among tasks and create a univocal link between brain systems and mental functions through: (1) the development of ontologies proposing an organization of cognitive processes; and (2) brain-network taxonomies describing functional specialization. To this end, tools to improve commensurability in cognitive science are necessary, such as public repositories, ontology-based platforms and automated meta-analysis tools. I will thus discuss some brain-atlasing resources currently under development, and their applicability in cognitive as well as clinical neuroscience.

Nutraceutical market, scope and growth: Herbal drug technologyLokesh Patil
As consumer awareness of health and wellness rises, the nutraceutical market—which includes goods like functional meals, drinks, and dietary supplements that provide health advantages beyond basic nutrition—is growing significantly. As healthcare expenses rise, the population ages, and people want natural and preventative health solutions more and more, this industry is increasing quickly. Further driving market expansion are product formulation innovations and the use of cutting-edge technology for customized nutrition. With its worldwide reach, the nutraceutical industry is expected to keep growing and provide significant chances for research and investment in a number of categories, including vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and herbal supplements.
DERIVATION OF MODIFIED BERNOULLI EQUATION WITH VISCOUS EFFECTS AND TERMINAL V...Wasswaderrick3
In this book, we use conservation of energy techniques on a fluid element to derive the Modified Bernoulli equation of flow with viscous or friction effects. We derive the general equation of flow/ velocity and then from this we derive the Pouiselle flow equation, the transition flow equation and the turbulent flow equation. In the situations where there are no viscous effects , the equation reduces to the Bernoulli equation. From experimental results, we are able to include other terms in the Bernoulli equation. We also look at cases where pressure gradients exist. We use the Modified Bernoulli equation to derive equations of flow rate for pipes of different cross sectional areas connected together. We also extend our techniques of energy conservation to a sphere falling in a viscous medium under the effect of gravity. We demonstrate Stokes equation of terminal velocity and turbulent flow equation. We look at a way of calculating the time taken for a body to fall in a viscous medium. We also look at the general equation of terminal velocity.

World Environment day 2022
The reason we are celebrating World Environment Day 2022 has some history
behind it. The United Nations launched World Environment Day in 1972 as a result of
debates about the implementation of human relationships as well as the ecosystem at the
Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment (5–16 June 1972). The first World
Environment Day (WED) was commemorated two years later, in 1974, with the theme
“Only One Earth.” Despite the fact that WED celebrations have been held annually since
1974, the concept of rotating the center of these events by selecting various host countries
originated in 1987.
On this day, governments, NGOs, and citizens work to raise awareness about the
importance of environmental conservation and the negative effects of human activity on
the environment.
When is world environment day 2022
Like every year World Environment Day 2022 will be celebrated on 5th June. But the
host country changes every year. This year World Environment Day will be celebrated in
Sweden.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stockholm Conference, the Geneva Environmental
Network will host an event commemorating the landmark declaration affirming the
fundamental right to a decent, productive, and supportive future. The honor comes at a

time when our world is in the midst of a triple environmental crisis. Climate change,
pollution of the air, land, and water, and the accompanying loss of biodiversity, all have a
detrimental effect just on the timely and appropriate exercise of all human rights, putting
the Sustainability Objectives in jeopardy (SDGs). Register today to take advantage of this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to commemorate such occasions, which will take place on
June 30th at 16.00 CEST, whether in person or online.
World Environment Day also called
UN World Environment Day. Also called. Eco Day, Environment Day, WED (world
environment day), and International Environment Day.
world environment day 2022 theme
The fact that, as I previously stated, the inaugural World Environment Day was held in
1974 in Spokane, Washington, with the subject “Only One Earth,” and that the topic for
World Environment Day 2022 will also be “Only One Earth,” which will be held in
Sweden on June 5th.
Now the question is what is behind the theme of World Environment Day 2022 and it
is repeated?
The slogan for the 1972 Stockholm Conference was “Only One Earth,” and this concept
still remains true 50 years later:
This planet is our only home.
With nature in a state of emergency, the #OnlyOneEarth initiative for World
Environment Day 2022 encourages you to honor the earth by taking collective
environmental responsibility.
What’s the connection between Stockholm +50 and world environment day 2022?
On the 2nd and 3rd of June, the Government of Sweden decided to celebrate World
Environment Day 2022 with the help of the Government of Kenya, which will host
Stockholm+50, 50 years after the 1972 Stockholm Conference. The 50th anniversary of
this landmark conference and its consequence articles, most especially the Stockholm
Proclamation, will be commemorated during this global gathering. Stockholm+50 will
help to speed up progress to a much more sustainable future, along with a recovery period
from the COVID-19 pandemic.
This same conference will represent the immediate need to have decisions toward a
healthy and active lifestyle and economic success for everyone, as well as accomplishing a
sustainable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and speeding up the
execution of the environmental aspect of Resilient Change in the areas of the Couple of
years of Operation, in three key conversations. The gathering will however underline the
principles and accomplishments of UNEP’s 50th-anniversary celebration (UNEP@50),
which also will take place in Kenya, Nairobi in March 2022.
World Environment Day 2022 logo
3. 3/13
We can’t really say anything about the logo because any image defining and symbolizing
nature, health, and safety in our world, fostering a healthy ecosystem, green earth, and
mother nature might be the World Environment Day 2022 logo. Who’s to say you
can’t utilize your creative and design skills to express your appreciation for the
environment and nature?
The goal of World Environment Day 2022 is to raise awareness and inform people
that this planet is our only home. There are numerous methods to commemorate it. You
can also have your shirts and caps embroidered or digitalized using vector art or other
means to represent yourself as one of those who wants the world to remain green and
healthy and to warn others to be cautious as well.
Earth is precious, so people live there too. This Erath Day digital embroidery design of
Digit-It while our individual consumption decisions certainly have an impact, it is a
coordinated action that will lead to the dramatic climatic change we require in order to
progress to a more ecological and just world where everyone can thrive.
4. 4/13
A Healthy and ecologically balanced environment is a human right in and of itself, but it
also comes with a responsibility to safeguard it. This mother Earth Day digital
embroidery of Digit-It says that everybody must make an effort to live in an atmosphere
that is conducive to their health and well-being.
As a citizen of the world, we should pledge to fulfill our responsibilities to Mother Nature
in order to protect our living planet from degeneration and to pass on a clean and green
globe to future generations for the sake of our planet’s sustainability. Our individual
efforts may appear insignificant, but if thousands of young people band together to
safeguard the environment, our efforts will one day amount to a significant step in
protecting our motherland Earth from destruction.
Let’s dig into the reason why we celebrate World Environment Day
(WED):
5. 5/13
Environmental challenges such as deforestation, rising global warming, food waste and
losses, pollution, and so on must be addressed in this world environment day 2022.
Several campaigns are organized around the globe with a specific concept and message in
order to increase efficacy.
This day is commemorated for achieving carbon neutrality, reducing carbon emissions,
focusing on forest ecosystems, planting in arid regions, power generation, energy
production, encouraging ocean life and forests, and constructing new sewer systems,
among other things.
According to a study undertaken by the Ellen McArthur Foundation in 2015, the world
has produced roughly 6.3 billion tonnes of plastic waste, with approximately 90% of it not
decomposing for at least five hundred years. As per researchers, micro-plastic or
microscopic particles have been discovered in soil, filtered water, tap water, alcohol, as
well as the air we inhale.
Objectives behind celebrating world environment day
World Environment Day 2022 has a number of goals like previous world
environment day celebrations.
– World Environment Day is observed to raise awareness about environmental concerns
amongst some of the general public.
– Urge ordinary people from many different societies and groups to take part in this event
thus becoming willing members in the promotion of green safety precautions.
– Motivate individuals to keep one‘s immediate surroundings nice and secure in order to
experience a more secure, greener, and wealthier tomorrow.
Have you ever considered what the main issue is behind this rack; a less
stable and uncertain environment?
Plastic has always been the main issue of uncertainty and world environment day
2022 is also to educate us about it.
Plastic is harmful to the marine and poses a health risk to humans.
Plastics are used by a big portion of the population on a daily basis. Do you know
that roughly a third of it is improperly disposed of, clogging sewers and choking the
environment?
Plastics can endure over thousands of years throughout the atmosphere eventually
entirely decomposing.
Plastics are non-renewable because their production and disposal endanger people
and the planet to a variety of pollutants, such as toxins.
Plastics account for 10% of all garbage produced, with half of it being throwaway or
solitary.
We utilize 50% of our plastics in the trash or solitary packaging.
Even animals and humans are poisoned by plastics.
6. 6/13
World Environment Day 2022 theme and host country:
World Environment Day 2022 Theme: OnlyOneEarth
The global campaign #OnlyOneEarth for World Environment Day 2022 pushes for
policy and decision reforms that enable healthier, greener, and self-sufficiency in sync
with nature. This will emphasize the importance of living sustainably and in peace with
nature, as well as our options for transitioning to green and sustainable living including
policy and personal decisions. Its emblem of the Stockholm Declaration Convention was
“Only One Earth.” The motto is as relevant today as it was 50 years ago: this earth is our
only home, and mankind must protect its assets.
For the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the worldwide
environmental community, the year 2022 marks a watershed moment. It is the 50th
celebration of the foundation of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as
a result of the Stockholm Conference. It also falls on the same day as the high-level
Stockholm+50 international summit. These iconic events provide a platform for the
global order to strengthen partnerships and demonstrate leadership in the transition to a
more stable society.
World Environment Day 2022 Host Country: Sweden
Every year, a different country commemorates World Environment Day, with formal
events taking place in that country. Sweden will be the host country of world environment
day in 2022 this year. Sweden and Kenya, with support from UNEP and partners, are
hosting a high-level international meeting in Stockholm on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2022
titled “Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our
opportunity” to commemorate the 1972 UN Conference on Human Environment.
“We are proud to host World Environment Day 2022. Sweden invites the countries
of the world to participate in the celebrations and to organize activities and events. We
want to highlight some of the most urgent environmental issues, as well as a number of
Swedish initiatives and our role in international environmental action”

World Environment Day 2022 activities
You’re joining a society of over 1 billion active users that participate in World
Environment Day every year by commemorating it.
The goal of World Environment Day is to raise awareness of the importance of
environmental protection and action.
Make a pledge and a plan to take action
[7]
10. 10/13
Making a strategy and writing down a commitment are two steps that boost the likelihood
of someone following through. This is an easy task to complete with pupils of any age if
you want the world environment day 2022 lessons to stick. This is a fantastic way to
combine a writing prompt with an art activity.
Integrate art projects
Art projects are a wonderful way to incorporate a hands-on activity into an Earth Day
lesson. Even if the issues you’re studying are taking place far away from home, making art
can help children feel connected to environmental issues. It’s also a fantastic method to
assist kids in imagining the world in which they desire to live.
Make signs for school and at home
Sometimes all we need is a gentle nudge to get us to change our ways. Encourage children
to consider what they can do to improve the environment at school and at home, as well
as how they may urge others to change their practices.
Make a video or presentation urging others to take action
Students can have a greater impact if they can persuade others to do their bit in
environmental protection. Creating a video or presentation also aids their internalization
of the information — they must grasp it before they can communicate it to others.
Presentations can take place in the classroom or even in front of the entire school. They
may be able to present their findings and lessons at a local conference in the future.
Plant a tree
By World Environment day 2021 Network hopes to have planted 7.8 billion trees, or one
tree for every person on the planet. You’re taking a tangible action with your pupils and
contributing to a larger aim by planting trees. Before you begin, make sure to read over
these tree-planting tips.
Engage students in a pollution experiment
Pollution education is an important aspect of World Environment Day because it teaches
kids about the implications of not protecting the environment. Pollution prevention is
often easier than pollution remediation. In the classroom, students may see and feel the
impacts of pollution on a small size.
Picking up trash in the neighborhood.
Get some fresh air and engage in a hands-on eco-friendly activity that will make a genuine
difference! After arming yourself and your children with collecting bags (one for general
garbage and one for recyclables), head to your neighborhood park or green space and
begin picking up litter. You might wish to borrow or buy some grabbing sticks for safety
reasons, and make sure everyone is wearing protective gloves. Also, make sure your
children are aware of the dangers of picking up a shattered glass or other sharp objects.
11. 11/13
Organize a Toy Exchange.
This is a subtle yet powerful technique to teach your children about recycling, resource
pooling, and sharing. Encourage your children to go through their toys and discard any
that they no longer use or have outgrown. Invite other families to do the same, then host a
swapping party at your house. Your children will have new toys to play with, as well as
have recycled the old ones!
Appreciate the beauty of nature.
The wonderful outdoors can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. We’ve got plenty of
suggestions to get you started. Check out our kids’ activities pages for more information
on everything from woodland activities to nature trails, establishing a garden, and
creating a bird feeder.
What are your plans for World Environment Day with your family?
