World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th. In 2015, Italy will host World Environment Day with the theme "Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care." The United Nations established World Environment Day in 1972 to raise awareness of environmental issues and stimulate political action. Events like tree planting, cleanups, and educational competitions are held worldwide to commemorate the day and encourage environmental protection. With over 7 billion people living on one planet and consuming resources, the theme emphasizes sustainable consumption to ensure future generations have adequate resources and shelter.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year. It is the United Nations' flagship day for promoting worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world. This year, the day is being hosted by our neighboring country Pakistan in partnership with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) with the theme of 'ecosystem restoration.' With the Covid19 pandemic, the climate has been suffering evermore with the increased use of plastic and non-biodegradable things including PPE kits, masks and other things. This year, the urgency of preventing, halting and reversing the degradation of ecosystems worldwide is the main focus.
UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen said, "2020 was a year of reckoning, facing multiple crises, including a global pandemic and the continued crises of climate, nature and pollution. In 2021, we must take deliberate steps to move from crisis to healing: and in so doing, we must recognize that the restoration of nature is imperative to the survival of our planet and the human race."

World Environment Day is an annual event that is aimed at being the biggest and most widely celebrated global day for positive environmental action. World Environment Day activities take place all year round and climax on 5 June every year, involving everyone from everywhere.
The World Environment Day celebration began in 1972 and has grown to become one of the main vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and encourages political attention and action.
Through World Environment Day, the United Nations Environment Programme is able to personalize environmental issues and enable everyone to realize not only their responsibility, but also their power to become agents for change in support of sustainable and equitable development.
World Environment Day is also a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.
Everyone counts in this initiative and World Environment Day relies on you to make it happen! We call for action — organize a neighborhood clean-up, stop using plastic bags and get your community to do the same, stop food waste, walk to work, start a recycling drive . . . the possibilities are endless.
In 2012 Planet Aid celebrated its 15th year of operation.
When we started back in 1997 we had just a few dozen or so drop-off boxes in the Boston area, collecting several thousand pounds of clothes a week. Today, our operations
reach across 22 states. In 2012 alone we collected 110 million pounds of clothing from 18,000 collection bins that we own and operate. Our growth is a testament to the hard work of our staff and the help received from our many supporters.
Every day, more businesses, schools and community groups choose to host Planet Aid bins, helping to make recycling more convenient for all and saving valuable resources.
In 2010, Planet Aid collected 95 million pounds of used
clothing and shoes. This achievement is a testament to both the generosity of the thousands of businesses and community organizations that hosted one or more of the 13,000 collection bins we have distributed across the United States, as well as the many individuals who stopped by one of those bins to donate their items.
The reason we are celebrating World Environment Day 2022 has some history behind it. The United Nations launched World Environment Day in 1972 as a result of debates about the implementation of human relationships as well as the ecosystem at the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment (5–16 June 1972). The first World Environment Day (WED) was commemorated two years later, in 1974, with the theme “Only One Earth.” Despite the fact that WED celebrations have been held annually since 1974, the concept of rotating the center of these events by selecting various host countries originated in 1987.
On this day, governments, NGOs, and citizens work to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and the negative effects of human activity on the environment.
When is world environment day 2022
Like every year World Environment Day 2022 will be celebrated on 5th June. But the host country changes every year. This year World Environment Day will be celebrated in Sweden.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stockholm Conference, the Geneva Environmental Network will host an event commemorating the landmark declaration affirming the fundamental right to a decent, productive, and supportive future. The honor comes at a time when our world is in the midst of a triple environmental crisis. Climate change, pollution of the air, land, and water, and the accompanying loss of biodiversity, all have a detrimental effect just on the timely and appropriate exercise of all human rights, putting the Sustainability Objectives in jeopardy (SDGs). Register today to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to commemorate such occasions, which will take place on June 30th at 16.00 CEST, whether in person or online.
World Environment Day also called
UN World Environment Day. Also called. Eco Day, Environment Day, WED (world environment day), and International Environment Day.
world environment day 2022 theme
The fact that, as I previously stated, the inaugural World Environment Day was held in 1974 in Spokane, Washington, with the subject “Only One Earth,” and that the topic for World Environment Day 2022 will also be “Only One Earth,” which will be held in Sweden on June 5th.
Now the question is what is behind the theme of World Environment Day 2022 and it is repeated?
The slogan for the 1972 Stockholm Conference was “Only One Earth,” and this concept still remains true 50 years later:
This planet is our only home.
With nature in a state of emergency, the #OnlyOneEarth initiative for World Environment Day 2022 encourages you to honor the earth by taking collective environmental responsibility.
Mercy for Earth seeks to increase public awareness, educate and mobilize the community by understanding environmental issues through research, the media and educational programs.
Environmental Education is facing new challenges. Despite significant achievements, from institutional agencies and others, it must be strengthened and project its expansion, thereby eliminating the slow bureaucratic aspects, creating new strategies of action, further opening of the social agencies and pursuing broader international commitments. Deepening in Environmental Education is the surest path to planetary transformation and survival of the human race.

Diabetes is a rapidly and serious health problem in Pakistan. This chronic condition is associated with serious long-term complications, including higher risk of heart disease and stroke. Aggressive treatment of hypertension and hyperlipideamia can result in a substantial reduction in cardiovascular events in patients with diabetes 1. Consequently pharmacist-led diabetes cardiovascular risk (DCVR) clinics have been established in both primary and secondary care sites in NHS Lothian during the past five years. An audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery at the clinics was conducted in order to evaluate practice and to standardize the pharmacists’ documentation of outcomes. Pharmaceutical care issues (PCI) and patient details were collected both prospectively and retrospectively from three DCVR clinics. The PCI`s were categorized according to a triangularised system consisting of multiple categories. These were ‘checks’, ‘changes’ (‘change in drug therapy process’ and ‘change in drug therapy’), ‘drug therapy problems’ and ‘quality assurance descriptors’ (‘timer perspective’ and ‘degree of change’). A verified medication assessment tool (MAT) for patients with chronic cardiovascular disease was applied to the patients from one of the clinics. The tool was used to quantify PCI`s and pharmacist actions that were centered on implementing or enforcing clinical guideline standards. A database was developed to be used as an assessment tool and to standardize the documentation of achievement of outcomes. Feedback on the audit of the pharmaceutical care delivery and the database was received from the DCVR clinic pharmacist at a focus group meeting.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.

Micro RNA genes and their likely influence in rice (Oryza sativa L.) dynamic ...Open Access Research Paper
Micro RNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs molecules having approximately 18-25 nucleotides, they are present in both plants and animals genomes. MiRNAs have diverse spatial expression patterns and regulate various developmental metabolisms, stress responses and other physiological processes. The dynamic gene expression playing major roles in phenotypic differences in organisms are believed to be controlled by miRNAs. Mutations in regions of regulatory factors, such as miRNA genes or transcription factors (TF) necessitated by dynamic environmental factors or pathogen infections, have tremendous effects on structure and expression of genes. The resultant novel gene products presents potential explanations for constant evolving desirable traits that have long been bred using conventional means, biotechnology or genetic engineering. Rice grain quality, yield, disease tolerance, climate-resilience and palatability properties are not exceptional to miRN Asmutations effects. There are new insights courtesy of high-throughput sequencing and improved proteomic techniques that organisms’ complexity and adaptations are highly contributed by miRNAs containing regulatory networks. This article aims to expound on how rice miRNAs could be driving evolution of traits and highlight the latest miRNA research progress. Moreover, the review accentuates miRNAs grey areas to be addressed and gives recommendations for further studies.

"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

6. ONE PLANET CONSUME WITH CARE………
Despite of the fact that we are more than 7 billion by now, we have only one planet
to live and survive. We have limited place, limited food, and limited shelters. If we
keep on using natural resources lime we do today, a day will come when our own
grand children shall forced to live homeless with hunger prevailing in the society.
So its better to consume whether food or fuel with care and responsibility. Stop the
wastage, use according to need not greed.
