2. World First Aid Day is an annual global observance day held on the second Saturday in the
month of September.
The day aims at raising awareness of how first aid can prevent injuries and save lives in
everyday and crisis situations, as well as at promoting the accessibility of the first aid. Events
and activities held on this day focus on first aid training.
Bloodlink Foundation in conjunction with the various stake holders is organizing to mark the day
for the first time in Kenya on 10th September 2016. The celebrations will include a first aid
awareness week from the 5th
to 9th September.
Some of the activities to mark the day and awareness week will include the following activities:
* First aid training for workplace employees, Boda Boda riders and PSV
personnel
* Distribution of first aid kits
* Blood Donation drives
* First aid competition for corporates
* Launch of first aid App

Note that each team contains 4 participants.
