Since commencing in the tyre industry in 1982 I have worked with a number of reputable New
Tyre Companies and Retread/Repair Facilities. Essentially, the serviceSTS provides to Tyre Users
and Manufacturers is an independent perspective/solution to any tyre related projects or
problems. Not always are tyre OEM’s forthcoming with the right information and can mislead
clients, resulting in both time and money being wasted. These situations can be avoided.

AEducated in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and on completion of “A” levels was awarded an Education
Cadetship to attend University of Natal in South Africa. On qualifying I returned to Zimbabwe

Acquisitions, Quality Assurance, Field Engineering, establishing Tyre Contracts and Customer
Liaison with product related matters. With most projects this required regular trips to both
Dunlop and Bridgestone Research and Development Centre’s in the United Kingdom and Italy.

During my employment at these companies these are the main projects that were undertaken:-
 Developed a new Truck Bias ply Range (3 Sizes) – Product Development.
 Developed a Retread System for Aircraft Retreading (4 sizes) – Cisap Segmental Molds.
 Redeveloped a range of Truck Radial designs – To match Michelin and Bridgestone.
 Developed a Light Truck Radial product range – New Range for PE Bridgestone Factory.

Tyre Design, Manufacturing and Retreading Process has been invaluable, as it has provided me
with the right assistance in dealing with any product related problems in the field.

Over the years the Tyre Industry has enabled me to gain some valuable experience in General
Management, Project Management, Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Equipment
Procurement, Human Resource Management, Budgeting and Forecasting, Trouble Shooting and
lastly Customer Liason.
In the last three years STS has been involved in a number of Consulting Projects in China
providing support for the Mining Industry in Australia. These have been big investment projects
with some Strategic importance to provide the Mining House/Tyre Dealership with security of
Off-The-Road (OTR) tyre supply.
