Women in Medieval times Romans regarded women as a slave. The Greeks considered woman as a commodity that could be bought and sold. In France, toward the end of sixth century AD, a meeting was held to decided whether woman could truly be considered a human being or not.
Women in Asia In the middle-ages in India it was customary for a woman to be burnt alive to death, when her husband has passed away. Those who escaped were not allowed to remarry and were used as slave-maids of the brothers of their husband or other males.
Women in Arabia before Islam In Arabia before Islam they used women as slaves this shows that Islam released woman from slavery.
Qur’an defines woman’s role The Qur’an gave protection to women. It gave women rights. A divorced woman can remarry. She would get support from her ex-husband.
Who's superior man or woman? The Qur’an regards men and women as equal in personal and equal values. Who is superior man or woman? Man and woman have different roles, the woman is usually at home. Is responsible of the maintenance of the family. The mans role is to make the life of the family sweet and joyful. So neither man or woman are the superior one, they are both equal because they both have roles in life.  man is the superior one hahahah that’s rite woman you  aint nothing.
Marriage Islam considers happy family life as a foundation of a healthy society. The Qur’an encourages Muslims to marry.  It also stresses that sexual relationships outside marriage are sinful. This is why when a girl reaches the age of marriage, it is usual for a Muslim parent to find a suitable husband for her, but she has to agree.
Mahr When a Muslim woman is married the bridegroom is required to give her a dowry or a Mahr. It depends on the two parties how much Mahr is to be given to the Bride. According to the Hadith, even an iron ring is enough if the bride excepts it.
How the man should treat the wife The man should treat his wife with respect and kindness. The man should not beat on his wife.
Marrying more then one woman The Muslim man is allowed to be married up to 4 woman. Only if the man can treat them with equal fairness. If the man can’t treat them with equal fairness then he should only marry one.
Divorce If a Muslim couple get to the point of divorce, they should try their best to save their marriage first. If they fail to save their marriage, the divorce can take place. When this is taking place the woman can stay with her ex-husband for three months and the husband must support her. When the divorce is final the woman gets no more payment from her ex-husband. Islam puts the right of the divorce to the husband and judge only if the wife requests a divorce.
