In this second presentation, D9520 Membership Chair Mark Huddleston presents some simple tips that clubs can implement to make their clubs more attractive
Femfessionals is a community that connects accomplished professional women through events to establish business connections and support each other's careers. The organization was founded by Violette Sproul to create a circle where women can assist one another. Members attend various events each month, including speaker events, workshops, and social activities. Membership provides benefits like listings on the organization's website and social media promotion. The goal is to empower women professionals through networking and resources.
This document outlines strategies for promoting Rotary within local communities. It discusses running a "People of Action" campaign to highlight how Rotarians solve community problems. The campaign would share stories of Rotarians working with community partners and experts to develop and implement lasting solutions. The strategy also aims to narrow the gap between awareness and understanding of Rotary by defining what Rotary is and its impact, and allowing clubs to localize advertising to make it more relevant locally. It concludes by providing information on how to access additional Rotary convention presentations.
Rotary should embrace diversity to grow membership. While women membership has grown, men membership has declined. Embracing diversity means including more women in leadership roles. When organizations do this, they achieve better outcomes and improved business performance. Rotary specifically should work to counter unconscious biases that prevent women from joining and advancing. Doing so would make Rotary more representative of communities and allow it to tackle multifaceted social issues. Events like International Women's Day help introduce more women to Rotary and its mission.

Is Agile dead? It depends on what you mean by 'Agile'. If you mean that the organizations are not getting the promised benefits because they were focusing too much on the team-level agile "ways of working" instead of systemic global improvements -- then we are in agreement. It is a misunderstanding of Agility that led us down a dead-end. At Org Topologies, we see bright sparks -- the signs of the 'second wave of Agile' as we call it. The emphasis is shifting towards both in-team and inter-team collaboration. Away from false dichotomies. Both: team autonomy and shared broad product ownership are required to sustain true result-oriented organizational agility. Org Topologies is a package offering a visual language plus thinking tools required to communicate org development direction and can be used to help design and then sustain org change aiming at higher organizational archetypes.
