Timothy C. Chase is a sales representative and educator based in Sweden who specializes in importing wines from Italy and California. He represents over 30 Italian wineries in Southern Sweden and has worked with The California Wine Institute to promote California wines in Scandinavia. In addition to above, I have been involved with events and promotion with San Francisco´s The
California Wine Institute in Stockholm, Sweden – a marketing alliance to place and secure position
for California wines in Scandinavia.
The primary actor in this group is the world’s largest wine producer, Ernest & Julio Gallo –
for whom I have been active in presenting their portfolio to corporate clients in the hospitality industry
through event generation - with particular involvement as consultant for the annual Tourism Trade
Fair, TUR Mässan in Gothenburg 2001 – 2004. In concert with some of Sweden´s most prestigious
tourism and gastronomy trade entities, I helped launch a unique promotional event on board the “Tour
Train” - whereby 350 invited VIP dignitaries were exposed to culinary demonstrations, sampling
delights and wine tastings on the return leg to Stockholm.
