WiMax is a wireless technology that provides broadband internet access over long distances. It has several benefits over traditional internet connections like faster speeds, wireless connectivity without cables, and broad coverage across cities. WiMax can be used to provide portable mobile broadband, wireless internet alternatives to cable/DSL, data services, and business continuity. While it offers high speeds, coverage, and lower costs than other options, WiMax also has disadvantages like signal interference from weather and potential lower speeds with many users.
We are now introducing the industry’s first 5G NR-capable radio, called Ericsson AIR 6468. It features 64 transmit and 64 receive antennas enabling it to support our 5G plug-ins for both Massive MIMO and Multi-User MIMO. The high-performance beamforming, required for Massive MIMO, is enabled through the use of a split Cloud RAN architecture, which brings the required intelligence and scalability to this new radio. And, the AIR 6268 is designed for compatibility with the 5G NR standard while also supporting 4G/LTE.
WiFi 6 is the latest industry certification program based on the IEEE 802.11ax standard for WiFi networks. It enables next-generation WiFi connectivity enabling high capacity, coverage, performance, & security. It provides a more consistent and reliable network connection with a seamless experience for users, IoT, & voice and video. It can achieve speeds up to 4 times faster than previous WiFi standards, promising better user experience and performance of bandwidth-consuming applications such as voice, video, and collaboration.
Did Your Wi-Fi Performance Expire Before the Warranty Did? | Steps to Providi...Xirrus
You’re just two years in with a new Wi-Fi network and it’s already straining under the load, what happened? Bottom-line is everyone knew Wi-Fi usage was rapidly increasing, however the actual growth was unprecedented.
In just a few years the inundation of new devices, higher densities, Social Media and BYOD initiatives overwhelmed traditional Wi-Fi infrastructures, as a result wireless performance, and more importantly its reliability degraded substantially. Yeah, we all saw it happening and in truth it’s no one’s fault, however it’s not a scenario anyone wants to repeat.
So before you go requesting additional budget for the next upgrade, arm yourself with the knowledge to make sure the next wireless solution supports not only what you expect, but also has the scalability/upgradability to address the unexpected too.
5G is here, and it’s something that a lot of people are very excited about. Faster download speeds mean you can watch movies streamed in perfect clarity, communicate quickly with people around the world, and efficiently process large batches of information.
Considering that we are constantly being exposed to radiation in all forms, it’s highly unlikely that 5g will cause any significant change. 5G is probably safe. Enjoy those fast downloads!

WiMax offers some advantages over WiFi.WiMax is the real wireless architecture by which the wireless access range can extended to 49.6Kms compared with Wi-Fi 91mts and Bluetooth’s 9mts. WiMax used to provide connectivity to entire cities, and may be incorporated into laptops to give users an added measure of mobility.
Competing technologies have a time-to-market advantage
- Many mobile operators have invested heavily in 3G systems.
Multiple technologies will co-exist as they meet different needs
Mobility may become a powerful differentiating factor when competing with DSL or Cable

# Internet Security: Safeguarding Your Digital World
In the contemporary digital age, the internet is a cornerstone of our daily lives. It connects us to vast amounts of information, provides platforms for communication, enables commerce, and offers endless entertainment. However, with these conveniences come significant security challenges. Internet security is essential to protect our digital identities, sensitive data, and overall online experience. This comprehensive guide explores the multifaceted world of internet security, providing insights into its importance, common threats, and effective strategies to safeguard your digital world.
## Understanding Internet Security
Internet security encompasses the measures and protocols used to protect information, devices, and networks from unauthorized access, attacks, and damage. It involves a wide range of practices designed to safeguard data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Effective internet security is crucial for individuals, businesses, and governments alike, as cyber threats continue to evolve in complexity and scale.
### Key Components of Internet Security
1. **Confidentiality**: Ensuring that information is accessible only to those authorized to access it.
2. **Integrity**: Protecting information from being altered or tampered with by unauthorized parties.
3. **Availability**: Ensuring that authorized users have reliable access to information and resources when needed.
## Common Internet Security Threats
Cyber threats are numerous and constantly evolving. Understanding these threats is the first step in protecting against them. Some of the most common internet security threats include:
### Malware
Malware, or malicious software, is designed to harm, exploit, or otherwise compromise a device, network, or service. Common types of malware include:
- **Viruses**: Programs that attach themselves to legitimate software and replicate, spreading to other programs and files.
- **Worms**: Standalone malware that replicates itself to spread to other computers.
- **Trojan Horses**: Malicious software disguised as legitimate software.
- **Ransomware**: Malware that encrypts a user's files and demands a ransom for the decryption key.
- **Spyware**: Software that secretly monitors and collects user information.
### Phishing
Phishing is a social engineering attack that aims to steal sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. Attackers often masquerade as trusted entities in email or other communication channels, tricking victims into providing their information.
### Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) Attacks
MitM attacks occur when an attacker intercepts and potentially alters communication between two parties without their knowledge. This can lead to the unauthorized acquisition of sensitive information.
### Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Attacks

5. INTRODUCTION
A wireless local –area network uses radio waves
to connect devices such as laptops to the internet and to your
business network and its application . When you connect a
laptop to a wifi hotspot at a cafe, hotel, airport lounge or other
public place . You ‘re connecting to that business wireless
network.
6. WHAT IS WIMAX
WiMax stands for world wide interoperability for
microwave access.
WiMax was formed in April 2001 , in
articipation of the publication of the original 1EEE802.16
specifications.
WiMax refers to broadband wireless
network that are based on the 1EEE802.16 standard, which
ensures compatability and interoperability between
broadband wireless access equipment.
It is based on wireless MAN
Technology.
7. BENEFITS OF WIMAX
SPEED :
Faster than broadband service
WIRELESS :
Not having to lay cables reduces cost.
Easier to extend to suburban and rural.
BROAD COVERAGE :
Much wider coverage than wifi hotspots.
8. USES OF WIMAX TECHNOLOGY
Providing portable mobile broadband connectivity across cities and
countries through various devices.
Providing a wireless alternative to cable and digital subscriber line
for last mile broadband access.
Providing data telecommunications and 1PTV services.
Providing internet connectivity as part of a business continuity plan.
Smart grids and metering.
9.
10. ADVANTAGES OF WIMAX
• A single location can serve hundreds of users .
• High coverage range
• High speed can be achieve
• Lower cost
• Comminication range up to 100miles
• Does not require telephone lines
• Provide mobility to a user with access to the internet
• Design with better quality services
• No simcard requires
11. DISADVANTAGES OF WIMAX
• Spectral limitation
• Big delay
• Big power consumption
• Weather conditions like rain could cause interference
• If there are many users in one sector, then they will have lower speed.
12. CONCLUSION
With in five years we experts WiMax to be the dominant
technology for wireless networking by that time it wil be fully mobile,as
well as providing low-cost,fixed broad band access that will open up
regions where internet access has no far not been practical.
