I visited the National Afro–American Museum & Cultural Center in Wilberforce, OH and inside this
museum there are four different exhibits. After walking around for a while I came across this exhibit
that talks about the History of Wilberforce University. It was very interesting to hear about the area

Chicago Museum Visit
A general description of the museum visit The Art Institute of Chicago is located at 111 South
Michigan Avenue, Chicago Illinois. There are two bronze lions, created by Edward Kerneys wearing

The crèche bodies are made from hemp and wire, the heads are molded out of terracotta with eyes
made of glass, and the hands and feet are carved out of wood. The artists would then use oil paints
to achieve the most realistic expressions and details on the figurines. The figures are flexible so they
can be positioned within the setting. Many of the figures in the crèche wear their original silk
garments made in the royal silk factory in San Leucio. The painstaking details of the costumes are

My Visit To The Holocaust Memorial Museum
As we roamed through Washington we saw this museum it is called Holocaust Memorial Museum.
We went inside and saw these two big clear doors and we walked inside it was pitch dark. Their was
a path that took us to a room and a video was playin. That video was talking about a boy named
Daniel that has survived the holocaust. It was a really depressing video that talked about his way of
living. We kept walking and we actually took the wrong path (oops) so we kind off messed up the
order but we got back on track. What we saw was unbelievable we couldn't believe what we were

My Visit To A Museum
On 29th May of May 2017, I had planned to visit the Dallas Art Museum. I was very excited to visit
the Museum because this was my first visit to the museum of Dallas after I had been in the United
States as an international student. I am very much interested in the arts and history around the globe.
Therefore, I was very happy and excited when I knew that the visit to Dallas Art Museum was also
the part of my graded college assignment. I reached the Dallas Art Museum at 12:30 pm and I
parked my car in the parking under the building of the museum where I paid twelve dollars for the
entry. I went up to the entrance gate of the museum through the stairs. Right next to the entrance
gate, I saw the name of that building was "The Nancy And Jake L. Hamon Building" as written on
the wall. Just straight ahead of the building, there was a colorful painting on the wall and on the
right, visitors were enjoying the food in the chair outside the building. As I entered the building, I
felt the atmosphere peaceful and calm at that moment. I saw many visitors and security around the

Museum Visit: The Ella Sharp Museum Though I very deeply wanted to attend the either the Kelsey
Museum of Archeology or the Natural History Museum in Ann Arbor, I unfortunately was not able
to make the trip to either of these fine museums. I was however able to visit the wonder Ella Sharp
Museum right here in Jackson. I was skeptical that I would find anything related to the ancient
history era or anything else that we had studied at class, I did happen to stumble upon a stunning
pair of stained glass window murals! Though these Victorian Era painted windows didn't come from
the Medieval or Gothic Eras, I believe that the origin of this style of window art is justifiable to talk
about given the resemblance to the painted glass of the previously

The analysis of two outstanding artworks: The Divine Shepherdess and Child with Saint John the
Baptist and an Angel The art works in the art center provides a broad range of artistic visions from
different period of times as well as various cultural backgrounds. Among them I choose two

At the bottom right corner, John the Baptist has been depicted as infant at seemingly the same age as
Child Jesus. Saint John raises his arm, with a scroll bearing the first few words of the phrase 'ECCE.

How To Visit To A Metropolitan Museum
Over the spring break, I chose to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with my friends Irene and
Mei. We explored many exhibits such as The Egyptian Art, The American Wing, and Asian Art. I
saw statues, ceramics, textiles, pottery, and paintings. I really enjoyed looking at the Sphinx and
sarcophagus in the Egyptian Art section. The interior design of the museum was so well planned out
in each exhibit from the lighting of the room to the smell. The interior design of the museum was so

At first, I didn't want to go to the museum. That day, I was exhausted after finishing school, so going
all the way to San Francisco wasn't exactly my idea of relaxing. Thankfully, my mom insisted we go
that day, since it was my dad's day off. I felt frustrated that we had to go right then, but my mom
forced us. After getting over my initial reluctance, I got butterflies in my stomach. This was only the
2nd time I'd been to an art museum, so I wanted to make the most of it. When we first arrived, we
looked around at some paintings. I visited an exclusive temporary exhibit of Edvard Munch which
included a surprising amount of paintings of naked women. Nothing caught my eye in the first few
galleries, but then I stumbled on an exhibit called "In Character" by Nam June Paik. As soon as I
walked in, I got embarrassingly excited. I constantly had to stop myself from running around the
museum like a madman. All the TV sculptures and simple, childlike drawings had been just so
incredible to me. The piece that I really enjoyed the most was a sculpture called "Self–Portrait."
The culture this work represents is the Neo–Dadaist movement known as Fluxus. Fluxus was a very
loosely organized group based mostly around New York City. Like Dadaism, Fluxus artists didn't
believe keeping art in museums. Unlike previous art movements, Fluxus was "anti–art", according
to George Maciunas, the founder . Fluxus was a means to break down the boundaries between art
and life. The historical period Nam June's art represents is the late 20th century, although this
specific work was created in 2005, towards the end of his life. The style it represents is also Fluxus.
Although Nam June Paik "left" Fluxus, the free, limitless style of Fluxus remains in his art. "Self–
Portrait" is a mixed medium sculpture. I believe the theme of the work is to show that nothing is
sacred. Without the signature, the TV would just be an old TV. This theme is very like the Fluxus
movement and shows how important Fluxus was in Nam June's life.
Nam June Paik reflects the 20th century by using television in his work, which was revolutionary in

The Visit At The Metropolitan Museum Of Art
Over the thanksgiving break I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met is an art museum in
New York City that has a variety of ancient artwork from different cultures and time periods. There
is paintings and sculptures from Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome and Greece. The museum is
additionally home to artwork from many different time periods including ancient Near Eastern Art,
Middle Ages and Europe during the Renaissance. The Met also has artwork from many different
religions such as Christianity and Islam. Each section in the museum had a specific artwork that
attracted my attention. On the first floor of the Met Museum is the Greek and Roman Art. The Greek
and Roman section has hundreds of art work ranging from the Neolithic period to Roman Emperor
Constantine. In the Greek and Roman section there is many portraits and sculptures including the
statue of Emperor Augustus, the statue of Aphrodite, and the Marble female figure. The sculptures in
this section range in different shapes, sizes and colors and are made with a variety of materials. The
sculptures depict emperors, Kings, Queens, Gods and Goddesses of the time. Much of the statues in
this section are missing key parts such as arms, legs and the head due to the fact that they were

Last time I went to the Art Institute of Chicago. I had a wonderful experience there. However, final
is coming. I have no time to go outside to visit some famous museums. I choose museums online

"Untitled #4" was created by Larry Bell in 1974. This artwork is found in USF Contemporary Art
Museum in Tampa, Florida. It stands 84" x 42" inches tall. This is a series of five color screen print
with flocking. This piece is a screen print painting.
When I look at this work I saw a print of a nude distorted woman posing. The perception is
manipulated to look like she is coming out of her body or maybe reflecting in a spiritual state. Its
silkscreen and thick pink flocking looks like it was made of glitter but I looked closer I can tell it's
just an illusion created by velvet– like material called flocking. It's 2–D art, but it's like the carnival
"funhouse" mirrors, distorting the reflection image.
The median and tools are screen print. The technique used to create the artwork is a new style called
"Finish Fetish", which are high glossed polish and velvet surfaces. This was a reflection of Los
Angeles aesthetic of Hollywood and technology. Larry Bell used a motorized camera that can
photograph at 360 degrees. By using this camera, he achieved distortion by the movement of his
camera with opened shutters. This enhances the "funhouse effect" of the nude women. The
silkscreen and thick pink flocking gave it a hint of the sixties psychedelic feel.

A Visit to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Essay
A group of us Arts and Music students used the day on Wednesday to go into the city to visit the
Boston Museum of Fine Arts. It was a cold, breezy day so we were all bundled up in jackets and
hats. As we got off the E train and walked toward the museum, its appearance was not what I
expected it to be. The museum was an elegant, beautiful building made of what looked to be marble;
not the big, brick monstrosity I had expected. Once we walked into the museum, it was even more
elegant on the inside. The marble staircase had sculptures on each side leading up to the rotunda
where white Christmas lights were strung around the banister in decoration for the Christmas

Picasso's painting entitled "Standing Figure" depicts a nude woman with her arms crossed behind
her head. It was painted in 1908 during a key period of invention and experimentation, as Picasso
began to construct his paintings in a new way. The figure is translated into simplified, geometric
forms, reflecting Picasso's interest in the art of Africa and Oceania. Using only a few colors, he
focuses the viewer's attention on the intersection of these geometric forms. It seems as though
Picasso uses the blue lines in this painting like some sort of directional device, drawing attention to
the outline of the woman's figure. As we discussed in class, the style of cubism uses multiple or
contrasting vantage points. Another element of cubism is simplifying more complicated scenes into
geometric forms. Cubism rejected the inherited concept that art should copy nature, or that they
should adopt the traditional techniques of perspective, modeling, and foreshortening. They wanted
instead to emphasize the two–dimensionality of the canvas. Turner's "Fall of the Rhine at
Schaffhausen", painted between 1805 and 1806, creates a sense of panic for the viewer. The water
has an overwhelming presence in this piece. Compared to the force of nature in the waterfall, the
people and animals are dwarfed. One woman is depicted rushing to try and save her child. Turner

My Visit At The Huntington Museum Of Art
The first thing I noticed at the Huntington Museum of Art was how quiet and empty it was. This was
not displeasing however––quite the opposite in fact. The atmosphere was perfect for contemplation
and thought, which is exactly what I want in a museum. I was still surprised of course; my visit to
the Art Institute of Chicago had been very different. Unlike in Huntington, Chicago's museum was
packed to the brim, and the people within it practically shouting just to be heard. It is very easy to
decide which one I liked more, in terms of surroundings anyway. As I walked along, my footsteps
echoing, I could not help but feel like there was something missing. The art was perfectly fine, but
there was a lack of liveliness to the place, something that Chicago had in spades. I remember
noticing that the art only had names, and no descriptions. This was something I disliked extremely.
It is nice to look at images I suppose, but I want some history. I want the time period, and a
description of the artist, two things that play a huge role in what a painting is actually about. I felt
like I should just naturally understand what each piece of art was trying to describe to me, which
was an irritating feeling.
It only took me about twenty minutes to go through the entire museum. Nothing really drew me in,
except for a couple of pieces. This was entirely different from my visit to the Art Institute of
Chicago. There, almost everything drew me in. All the paintings, and especially some of

Personal Narrative: My Visit To The Holocaust Museum
A week ago, I was able to visit The Holocaust Museum in Houston, Texas with my peers. Right
from the beginning of the museum the interior is set up as a long timeline from the first time when
the Jews were being prosecuted to the end of World War II. The chronological timeline starts from
when the first Jew was born, that being Abraham, to the story of Moses when he free his Jewish
people from Egyptian rule of the Pharaohs. By the museum making this connection it made me
realize that the Jewish people were at most times being mistreated and under the reign of a someone
or something. Furthermore, it even shows pictures of Jewish families before the World War II and of
what was Jewish life like after the war. I believe the setup of the museum

Museum Visit At The Monmouth Museum
Museum Visit
For my extra credit assignment, I chose to go to the Monmouth Museum. I had a very insightful
time and am very happy with the new experience. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for about an
hour and a half so I was only able to really analyze a few pieces of art. There was plenty more to see
and it is too bad I could not be there for any longer. Here is what I discovered, liked, and disliked.
The I in Disguise
It is made with acrylic on canvas, made in 2013. It has beautiful patterns of color on color. Like the
name suggests, it's all about mystery and disguise. There are endless patterns with patterns inside the
patterns symbolizing endless meanings and mysteries. It looks almost leopard patterned, but with
more color and brighter on the center as if a sun is shining through. The mysterious aspect to it
makes it looks like some sort of secret code. I love the mystery. The main colors used in this piece
of art are orange, red, blue, and gold.
Untitled Early Painting
This was made by R Randolph in 1967. It is an oil on canvas painting of fruits, mostly apples. You
can see some of the paint popping out from the canvas, giving a more 3D perspective. There is a
dullish beige background which I think is what makes the fruit more the center of attention to the
viewers. The beige does have some randomly faded in colors probably to make it look more pleasant
looking. There is a good use of shadow to create the size, depth, and general feeling that the artist is

Atlantic County Museum Visit
For my Museum visit I chose to go to the Atlantic County Historical Society in Somers Point, NJ.
When I originally had gone I didn't know what to expect exactly. I thought for the most part they
would talk to me about the history of Atlantic county which they did however they had amazing
objects and memorabilia that date back centuries. They had everything from old toys made of
amazing wood to guns that were heavier then I had originally anticipated. While I was there the staff
told me stories about everything from famous spots in Atlantic City to Margate even some things
about my hometown of Absecon. On the walls they had amazing black and white pictures, many of
which showed Atlantic City, the famous steel Pier and thousands of people

Museum Visit
I had the pleasure of visiting The Miami Art Museum and was very impressed by what I
encountered and viewed. I have never found interest in art until I got to see the museum. Throughout
my exploration at the Miami Art Museum I was able to view a wide selection of art. In this venture,
I viewed the most beautiful artwork I had ever seen, observed interesting non European/North
American art, was alarmed by the most disturbing works , explored a breath taking exhibition, and
actually found work that I would actually take home with me.
To begin, from the many pieces of artwork I was able to view at the Miami Art Museum, I can

This artwork was very interesting to me because it shows an overweight person gripping their
buttocks with both hands. One would not think of the meaning by just looking at the picture but
after reading the title you view it differently. To me the title and the picture define a person with
insecurity. I believe this artwork was the most significant from this category because it has meaning
behind it. It maybe that this is the way Julie George views herself or the way that she sees other
people viewing themselves.
I saw, studied and enjoyed looking at many pieces of art and although it was a difficult task I was
able to choose one piece of artwork as the one I would take home if given the opportunity. The
artwork that I chose is a very different piece of work. The title of the painting is En Carne made in
1987 by Carlos Alfonzo who was born in Havana, Cuba. The painting looks like a lot of clutter and I
actually even thought it was an airplane before hearing what it actually means. After hearing the
story behind it I found it to be very interesting. Throughout the painting there are eyes hidden in the
cluttered art. These eyes symbolize a sign of paranoia as if people are always watching you.
Unfortunately, I have not visited a museum for the past fifteen years and just realized what I have
been missing out on. I feel like I have gained so much knowledge from this visit. I now know that I

Visit The Young At Art Museum
For this reflection paper I decided to visit the Young at Art Museum. It is located on Southwest
121st Avenue and is just south of 5–95.(Figure 1) I decided to go on a Friday and I think a few
schools may have had the same idea. Upon first arriving I knew, almost instantly, that Young at Art
was designed with the youth in mind. Which is great reasoning for the name Young at Art, but I
hadn't thought much of it before my visit. At first look I noticed that there was much to do at Y.A.A.
and I was not sure where to start so I checked out the information wall which let you know all the
different sections and styles of art they had on exhibit. As I began to walk through the first piece that
caught my eye was a realistic sculpture of a young girl constructing a puzzle. (Figure 2) At first I
thought she was really just a child at the museum playing and then I realized how well the artist
captured the moment with the sculpture and I knew that I was hooked. I could not wait to experience
more, so I quickly moved forward through the exhibits, possibly a bit too fast and I decided to make
extra stops while on my way back. Another amazing piece had caught my eye named "Sweet
Madness" which depicted perfect circles which were made using many different colored pill
capsules. (Figure 3) I was really able to relate with this piece and because of the feelings I received,

When you've visited this location, have you ever felt like there was the feel of energy or an extra
presence with you? If you were asking yourself is the R.O.M haunted? The answer to that would be

ART 101 My family and I recently visited the Orlando Museum of Art in Orlando, Florida. The
museum enjoys a seemingly eclectic collection of artifacts, sculptures, photographs, and paintings.
While perusing the gallery I was fascinated by one painting in particular. The piece was called "Ante
Meridian", oil on board, c.a. 1935 by Frederick Judd Waugh (American 1861–1940). This
representational painting was of a presumably north eastern coast line where waves were battering
the cliffs and rocks during a stormy day. The sky was ominous yet you don't see the rain falling. The

By his vertical placement of the cliff in the right forefront of the picture plane, he further
emphasizes the illusion of space. Second, the diminishing size of the sea, cliffs in the background,
and the jetty all express depth in the overall scene. The violent cove appears to move away from us
in to the open sea. Ante Meridian is an example of atmospheric perspective. The foreground colors
are bold and rich, whether it is the white wave caps or the cliff façade, but as the scene retreats in to
the distance, the sea, background rocks, and sky become bluer, paler, and less distinct. The objects in
the distance are blurrier to demonstrate this open space even more. The implied changes in the
position of the thrashing waves give you the feeling of motion. The overlapping relationship of the
storm clouds to the apparent clear sky, as well as the curve of the rain clouds all imply these dark
storm clouds are moving out to the left. Waugh also gave a slight glimmer of sunlight beating down
on the rocks in the background to further illustrate the idea that the storm is moving on and the sun
is breaking through. This bit of sunlight is the only vibrant color in this paining. The whole aspect of

I visited the Tampa Museum of Art. This was my first visit to a museum and I was excited and
intrigued and looking forward to seeing what was beyond the glass doors. The art exhibitions that I
was able to see were all amazing to behold. For some reason, I was expecting to walk into a huge
celestial auditorium that would have me in awe but wasn't the case. During my tour of the Tampa
Museum of Art, the artist and art that stood out to me most interestingly were Elizabeth Condon;
"American Pastorale" 2016. Elizabeth Condon is an American art in 2016 who was inspired to paint
art "American Pastorale." This art catch my attention immediately has I walked through Tampa
Museum of Art door. The painting displays interesting colors, contrast and expression that are

Importance Of Visit To The Holocaust Museum
When I was in between my junior and senior year of high school, I was given the chance to travel to
Washington, D.C. to participate in the National History Day competition. It was one of the most
incredible experiences of my life and ignited a passion for traveling the world. When in D.C. we all
went to thousands of museums. The first day that we were there, we went to the Holocaust Museum.
It was such a somber experience, I don't think I heard a word uttered out of anyone's mouth until we
reached the end of our journey. The grief is tangible in the air and feels as if it will suffocate you if
you breathe deep enough. As we exited the museum, our steps were heavy as we made our way back
to the dorms we were staying in. The next day, we trekked through all the memorials at the National
Mall, never managing to find the Korean War memorial. Seeing that memorial was especially
important to me because I am a Korean–American. Nevertheless, we ran out of time and had to hop
to the next museum for our timed passes. Then we arrived at the American History Museum. When
we entered, it was so crowded that it was hard to think. We attempted to trudge our way over to an

Importance Of Visit To The Museum Of Modern Art
For my field trip, I went to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). If I were to bring my class here as
a field trip, we could either take a subway or a school bus. Because the MOMA is in Midtown, I
think that the subway would be easier. We could have chaperones come along as well to help contain
the students in the midst of transportation. There are a bunch of different options for schools and
teachers to choose from when they go to the MOMA. There are packages that just include a MOMA
visit, some others include a studio time and other include an employee to come to the classroom to
teach about certain aspects of the museum. I liked that the children were given tickets at the end of
the tours to ensure that they can come and go throughout the museum throughout the rest of the day
to explore other exhibits or to revisit one they really loved.
The exhibit that I went to is called "Items: Is Fashion Modern." This really stuck out to me when we
were looking at which exhibit to go to. Obviously, fashion is a big way of how people communicate
with the world and show their own style. I love learning about the different styles of clothing and

How To Visit To A Chrysler Museum
Visiting M.O.CA was not as fascinating as vising the Chrysler museum due to the type of art that is
in the museum. Most of the art works in the M.O.C.A were paintings, drawings, prints and a couple
of installations and less of sculptures and objects. The museum was quietly small compared to the
Chrysler, so less artwork was available. When entering the museum exhibitions through the glass

The use of different hues such as red, orange, and yellow directs the audience's attention to that

To begin, for my fieldwork project I decided to visit the Milwaukee Public Museum. The cross–
cultural topic that I chose is "Tools of all Kinds" and I focused on weapons. I decided to choose
weapons because I believe they can tell us a lot about the culture of different people from different
parts of the world. The types of weapons and what they are made of represent different cultural
views and even the surrounding areas of these places, because weapons are made from what is
available to people. Weapons from different places in the world can lead to inferences of that
specific culture's religious beliefs, their surrounding availability of resources, and even their

previously unaware of the different weapons that have developed over time in different parts of the

A Trip to the Capital It was dark after we left the surface to go into the underground concrete tunnel
lined with dim orange lights which were placed about every ten feet. We were in and out of tunnels,

On our way back to the vehicle from Arlington National Cemetery, two Metro Police officers were
standing by the gold colored car in the row next to us. We saw the car on are way into the cemetery,

For my museum trip I chose to visit the Leepa–Rattner museum in Tarpon Springs. I have never
been to an art museum before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. With that being said, I must
admit I really found enjoyment from the distinctive emphasis that artists put within many of these
images. Furthermore, it is truly amazing how you can gaze at a work of art and begin to establish an
idea of the narrative being told within the image. The Leepa–Rattner museum is not very large, and
it did not take very long to view everything that was on display. But to a great degree, I was
fascinated with the workmanship and focus of many of the paintings. The museum was very
beautiful, and the architecture was very well done as well. The building presents an image of a ship
at sea. Additionally, I really valued the size of the museum, which is not huge, yet rather more
personal and relaxed. I found a few of the works strong and persuasive, and the more diminutive
size keeps things in perspective.
The first painting that really drew my attention was the full sized image by Picasso called Guernica.
The proportion and balance of the painting is astounding. The scene portrayed in Guernica is a room

Recently, our class visited the Holocaust Museum. We learned about how 80 to 100 people would be
packed into a train car with no food or water. They were taken to concentration camps where they
might never see their families again. Many were killed immediately, and others were forced to do
hard labor. Although not to this extent, things like this still happen today. Every 19 seconds,
someone dies because of genocide. Sometimes, the world seems like it is cloaked in evil, but
Romans 12:21 one says, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Even though
there is a lot of evil in this world, there is a lot of God's goodness and beauty in it to. Remembering
the good left in the world can help us overcome the evil, and we should start with our own lives.
When someone does something bad to me, even if it isn't a big deal, my immediate reaction is anger.
I want to get back at them, and not for any good logical reason. But that won't actually help

My Visit to the Brooklyn Museum
During my visit to the Brooklyn Museum, I found it both intriguing and informative. The layout of
the exhibition was divided into about three to four sections. Each section of the museum represented
a movement of the 60's. The themes represented were segregation of blacks and whites, how they
tried to gain equality and the changes they anticipated would happen in the future. The artwork
throughout the exhibit was displayed in a varying gradient of black and white to colors. The type of
background information provided in the exhibit were captions under each artwork specifying the
artists' name, the year and time it was created and what message the artwork was trying to portray. I
did find the information that was provided to me helpful because it gave me an insight on to what
the specific artwork was about and the message it was trying to convey to the me, the viewer. One
artwork I observed in this exhibit was David Hammons (American, b. 1943). The Door (Admissions
Office), 1969. In this photograph it shows a body pressed against a door trying to gain entry into an
admissions office. The main character is a young African–American boy. The role the character
plays is a student trying to get admissions into a White school. During this time the U.S. Federal
Government implemented school desegregation throughout the nation in 1954. White communities
did not like the idea of this and tried blocking black students from attending these white schools.

There is a large fountain across the street, and when you walk in you go up a set of stairs that leads
you to a large courtyard with the beautiful sculpture of a man called "The Thinker" right as you
enter. The courtyard that is surrounded by larger pillars that are breathtaking. The outside of the

I remember visiting the world's largest museum, doesn't sound very exciting, but it was the most
exciting experience for me. In the world there are many beautiful things, but nothing compares to

My overall experience at El Paso Museum of Art was better than I expected for the overall visit.

Art Museum Visit I stumbled across the artwork "Last Judgement" by Circle of Hieronymus Bosch
at Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University. I was shocked when I initially saw this. I first noticed
Jesus Christ centered at the top. I immediately knew it was a religious painting, particularly
Christian. To the left of him, I recognized two lines of angels that I inferred were leading a sort of
pathway to Heaven. I thought that it was interesting how that Bosch depicted that scene to being
smaller compared to the rest of the artwork. The rest of the artwork depicted a dystopian
environment. This dystopian environment was what I inferred to be Hell. Bosch depicted many

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has one of the finest Asian art collections that has enlightened and
strengthened my understanding in my personal art experience. The Museum itself is an artistic

As I left, I felt a sense of piety, a piety that I must visit again and again. The Hall of Buddhas gave
me a sense of peace: a thought of quietness to gather myself, a peace that I have long forgotten or

The next corridor was an exhibit of ceramics of everyday life in the Neolithic period of the

Museum Visit: A Sunday on La Grande Jatte I went to The Art Institute of Chicago on a Thursday
when it was free for Illinois resident and when there were different exhibitions going on. There was
long line at the entrance near the museum at 6pm in the evening. I went alone because I thought I
can have better focus on picking a good art work. I was ready to go through all the magnificent
paintings for my art museum paper. As I walked through the museum, there were colorful Indian
Modern art exhibited for the occasion. They were big and vibrant. The was also a special exhibition
of Tarsila Do Amaral, one of the leading Latin American Modernist artist who paint like Cubism,
Futurism and expressionism. Her artworks were childlike in terms of the painting style of objects
and people. I was most fond of the modernist and contemporary part of the gallery with painters like
Salvador Dali and Francis Bacon. I was fascinated with Salvador Dali's Venus de Milo with
Drawers. The drawers unnaturalistically located on a human body was intriguing. The depth of the
human mind and subconsciousness are creatively represented by these drawers on Venus de Milo.
Francis bacon's work Figure with meat was not bad either. Figure with Meat is a disturbing

Tenement Museum Visit
I wasn't too tired this time coming up to our fourth class, which I was happy about. I was excited
about this class because I never been to the Lower East Side or Williamsburg and it was all going to
be a new experience for me. I also was excited because we are able to walk across another bridge,
which I LOVE doing! Even though the news said the weather was going to be really hot today, I
didn't care because I was so excited to learn all about these two new locations! Our first destination
on this very hot day was the Eldridge Street Synagogue. I was a little upset that we weren't able to
