in a large scale, trans-media
project: Street Cred’.
Street Cred’ is a new 1 hour TV
show that will air nationally
on PBS in June 2018.
Then there will be a web
series in which you watch the
development process for the
youth to actually make the
interactive VR film.
The goal is to premiere the interactive VR performance piece at the 2019 Sundance
Film Festival or another Interactive Festival. Then it will be sold to schools,
organizations, and NGO’s around the world.

8. Social Work/Psychological Response
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT. CBT can include:
Exposure therapy. This helps people face and control their fear. It
gradually exposes them to the trauma they experienced in a safe way. It uses
imagining, writing, or visiting the place where the event happened. The
therapist uses these tools to help people with PTSD cope with their feelings.
Cognitive restructuring. This helps people make sense of the bad
memories. Sometimes people remember the event differently than how it
happened. They may feel guilt or shame about something that is not their
fault. The therapist helps people with PTSD look at what happened in a
realistic way.

14. Synopsis: When It All Changed
After seeing a glimpse of the year
2072 where a rebellion fails to
reconnect people who have been
alienated by a multi-national
media conglomerate, we are taken
into the memory of 16 year old
Eve, who later started that same
Realizistance. In first-person
360 video, we see the day that
inspired Eve and her sister Nia to
build a movement to change the
world. They realize that change
starts with taking physical action
with our bodies. You live in Eve’s
shoes as she stages an event where
she invites rival groups in her
community to come together.

18. National Impact: Win It With Compassion
The VR short film, When It All Changed, creates a positive tool to be used in conjunction
with the #BlackLivesMatter campaign and other social justice efforts.
In the VR piece, participants learn a dance of Compassion through various cultural traditions.
Then, through social media, that dance can be used as a response to violence
and injustice in the media (similar to the IceBucketChallenge). We estimate
5 million downloads of the VR film and 1 million new VR users.
