This document analyzes user engagement and post performance on the Facebook walls of 153 public health organizations from 2006 to 2015 using machine learning techniques. The analysis shows an increasing trend in user engagement with health posts over time. Photo posts received the highest engagement while link posts received medium engagement. Clustering the data identified that photo and link posts were most favorable for high and medium user engagement respectively.

Why should healthcare professionals care about social media?Innovation Agency
Social media is important for health professionals to engage with because it can:
1) Improve health outcomes, increase value for money spent on health, and boost economic growth by spreading innovation more widely.
2) Many people now get news and information from social media on their phones, rather than traditional media.
3) The majority of people in the UK have social media accounts and many would prefer to engage with healthcare organizations through social media over visiting in person.

2) It outlines 37 theses on social media's role and impact in health care, arguing that social media can transform health care, drive productivity, and that engagement is important and beneficial for patients.

Today's healthcare marketing requires both offline and online strategies to meet the increasing number of engaged patients searching for healthcare information online. Websites must focus on user experience through responsive design, resource centers, clear information, and lead capture. Blogging on a healthcare provider's website can drive traffic and referrals. Social media, like Twitter, is also used by many physicians, while local directory listings remain important. An effective social media strategy involves consistency, engaging with others, adding value, and monitoring effectiveness. The key questions for healthcare marketers are whether they are providing readily available answers for patients and doing enough to market their facilities.

Across the Great Divide: Professional use of social media by Canadian and U....Pat Rich
This document compares statistics on social media use by physicians in Canada and the United States and explores potential reasons for the differences. A 2014 survey of over 10,000 Canadian physicians found low rates of use of social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, blogs and Twitter for professional purposes, ranging from 3.6% to 8.5%. In contrast, a U.S. source claims that two-thirds of American doctors use social media professionally. The document hypothesizes that the great divide in usage could be due to actual behavioral differences between physicians in the two countries or differences in the survey methodologies employed.

The physician-patient relationship is an important but often overlooked contributor to patient health. Impressively, a good physician-patient relationship is just as important to health outcomes as the use of well-established medical interventions. It is therefore critical that physicians and patients alike commit to the development of this important connection and explore opportunities to strengthen it.
In this presentation, I discuss what contributes to a healthy physician-patient relationship, concerns about how technology may threaten it, and how to best leverage technology to improve it.

Writing in medicine - How to Capture an audience: Editorials, letters, blogs and social media
Professor Azeem Majeed, Department of Primary Care and Public Health, Imperial College London
Social media differentiates itself from more traditional forms of media by its immediacy and its focus on social interaction. Websites and online forums allow users to share information through interactive electronic exchanges. Many businesses now incorporate social media into their marketing strategies to deliver key messages, advertise services or improve communication with clients. The NHS, doctors and health professionals have been slower to take up the use of social media but we are now also now seeing increased use of social media in the health sector. In this interactive workshop, I will discuss how health professionals can use social media to get their messages across to patients, and also the use of social media in education and campaigning. I will also discuss writing for traditional medical journals with a focus on publications such as editorials, commentaries, letters and clinical discussions.

The document discusses how social media has changed healthcare communication. It notes that while doctors remain the primary source of health information, online resources and peer advice are also significant. Around a quarter of social media users follow friends' health updates or experiences. Most hospitals have Twitter accounts and doctors are increasingly using social media to interact with patients. Key social media channels in healthcare include Facebook, Twitter, and hashtags like #HCSM. While social media use in healthcare is growing in South Korea, it remains in early stages compared to the US. The future of social media in healthcare will focus more on patient-centered content and connections, though legal issues around privacy need further discussion.

This webinar discussed how medical practices can better engage patients in the 21st century using technology and a patient-centered approach. It covered how patients now demand more control over their healthcare due to access to information and desire for convenience. The webinar also presented different types of patient personas and how their needs and preferences vary. Technologies like patient portals, secure text messaging, social media, and chatbots were examined as ways practices can better engage and communicate with patients. Finally, the webinar described how the Kareo platform can help practices implement these engagement strategies through features like the patient portal and messaging tools.
This document discusses using social media to promote a professional business in the health field. It provides information on popular social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and their large user bases. The document advocates for using social media to increase the reach of health and safety information, engage with the public, and promote expertise. While social media provides benefits like wider networks and access to information, it also poses risks like loss of privacy and perceived unprofessional behavior. The document concludes by providing tips for using social media and examples of how social media can influence health behaviors on a large scale.
This document summarizes a presentation about the role of social media in healthcare given by Lee Aase from the Mayo Clinic Social Media Network. Can practice managers save the NHS (CHEC practice manager masterclass)Robert Varnam Coaching
The document discusses the future of general practice in the UK National Health Service (NHS). It argues that general practice is currently constrained and unable to deliver its full potential due to lack of funding, workforce shortages, and outdated premises. However, it also notes positive changes underway, like new models of care and types of organizations. Going forward, it envisions patient-centered care enabled by multiprofessional teams, new skills and roles, and organizations collaborating across practices to deliver services at scale. The key is pursuing purpose over form and focusing on leadership, service redesign, and freeing up capacity through reducing bureaucracy and demand.

Lifecycle of a GME Trader: From Newbie to Diamond Handsmediavestfzllc
Your phone buzzes with a Reddit notification. It's the WallStreetBets forum, a cacophony of memes, rocketship emojis, and fervent discussions about Gamestop (GME) stock. A spark ignites within you - a mix of internet bravado, a rebellious urge to topple the hedge funds (remember Mr. Mayo?), and maybe that one late-night YouTube rabbit hole about tendies. You decide to YOLO (you only live once, right?).
Ramen noodles become your new best friend. Every spare penny gets tossed into the GME piggy bank. You're practically living on fumes, but the dream of a moonshot keeps you going. Your phone becomes an extension of your hand, perpetually glued to the GME ticker. It's a roller-coaster ride - every dip a stomach punch, every rise a shot of adrenaline.
Then, it happens. Roaring Kitty, the forum's resident legend, fires off a cryptic tweet. The apes, as the GME investors call themselves, erupt in a frenzy. Could this be it? Is the rocket finally fueled for another epic launch? You grip your phone tighter, heart pounding in your chest. It's a wild ride, but you're in it for the long haul.
