My name
First Source
Johansen, G., & Byrian, A. (2010). Business Ethics: The 21st
Century Perspective. Ohio: Longman Publishers.
This source contains information regarding business ethics in
the modern business world. The book talks about business ethics
for both small and large businesses as well as government
interventions that ensure that businesses respect human moral
standards. Majority of the contents of the book talk about
ethical practices when employees come into contact with
external parties such as when selling a good or service, when
providing customer services or how business activities such as
advertising and the production of goods and provision of
services adhere to ethical standards. The source mainly talks
about how employees should act as well as how they should
achieve market expectations with regards to ethics when selling
products and services.
This source is useful for the development of this project in the
following ways, it highlights the various areas within businesses
where ethical principles and moral standards are mostly
practiced. Such areas include production departments as well as
customer service. It identifies moral standards within the
society that businesses should adhere to. Examples of such
moral standards that will be included in my project include,
treating customers equally and with fairness. This source
informs my understanding because it highlights how ethics has
evolved in the business world over the years. This includes the
application of ethics over information technology infrastructure
such as the proper use of internet and communication platforms.
I also got informed that some unethical practices are sensitive
that at times do not get reported or there are just no set
guidelines to report unethical practices by businesses. This
source is slightly different from other sources. This source
mainly talks about modern day ethics and how ethical practices
have evolved.
Second reference
Kenneth, G. (2011). Conscience and Corporate Culture.
Chicago: PWC Press.
This source talks about how businesses mold employee behavior
as well as create a vision and business practices that are in line
with the best ethical business practices. In the book, Kenneth G.
talks about how businesses should be aware of their ethical
environments and surroundings such as how each employee is
behaving towards a fellow employee or to an external party such
as a supplier or a customer. The businesses should also be
aware of the current regulatory environment that govern ethical
standards by companies and its employees. The book also talks
about the extent at which managers take to ensure ethical
principles are followed and how they should deal with unethical
acts within their businesses.
This source is useful for my project because of the following
reasons, it will enable me to identify the various ways
businesses can do to mold the behaviors of employees so as to
ensure adherence to ethical practices. An example can include
employee training. The source will also help me to identify
unethical practices that occur within organizations regularly.
They can include theft by employees or employees revealing
company and customer information to third parties. I also came
to understand how government and company regulations are set
to ensure adherence to ethical standards and to ensure an ethical
culture is created amongst employees. This source fits with
other sources because it discusses business ethics in a corporate
as well as government level.

BUSINESS ETHICS PROPOSAL 1
BUSINESS ETHICS PROPOSAL 1
BUSINESS ETHICS PROPOSAL 1
Business Ethics Proposal
MY NAME SCHOOL
Business Ethics in the recent past has been a force to reckon
with in the business world. The interaction between buyers,
sellers and suppliers is founded on some ethical practices that
need to be upheld, if the relationship between the parties is
anything to go by. Both sides of the bargain are expected to
maintain a code of conduct to enhance the relationship between
the parties. However, this has only been but an ideal scenario.
Practically, a huge number of unethical practices are reported
annually in various sectors. Notably, these are just but reported
cases of unethical practices going on in the business world, the
number could be higher if the many cases that go unreported
were all to be included in the research. Failing to attain the
code of conduct is generally referred to as unethical business
ethics.
In the current world, maintaining a high level of business ethics
is utterly critical for the success of any organization. Both
parties that interact in the business world are required to exhibit
the highest level of ethical standards. For businesses in the
world today, maintaining a high level of business ethics is
critical for the prosperity of the business. Business ethics is
practicable in the simple interactions between businesses and
their customers; for instance, in customer support, meeting the
customers’ expectations, abiding by the standards set by various
institutions, among several other factors (Johansen & Byrian,
2010). The respect of a firm or a business unit in an industry is
largely based on its ability to maintain a healthy and ethical
relationship between such a company and the consumers who
depend on its products and services.
The topic of business ethics is a very extreme yet very sensitive
at the same time. It calls for an in depth and very critical
analysis. Without the two previously mentioned ingredients,
handling this topic is but a pipe dream. With full awareness of
the nature of the topic and with an in-depth understanding of the
relevant factors associated with the topic, I believe I am well
positioned to comfortably handle the volatility and sensitivity
of the topic. My conduct with regards to the applicability of
ethics in day to day activities also put me in a good position to
discuss this very sensitive issue (Kenneth, 2011). Furthermore,
having analyzed the business world for quite so long, I feel
better placed to research into the discussion on business ethics.
As business ethics is a wide topic, I have a great effort ahead of
me to gather all the relevant information in order to come up
with conclusive research. The majority of the work in this
research is intensely founded on both the business world as well
as the generally accepted social morals. A combination of the
two previously mentioned factors form the accepted standards
of conducting business. The research will therefore have to seek
the opinions and commentaries from various scholars in the
business world as well as specialists in ethics. The research will
be informed by various sources such as text book, case studies,
reports, scholarly online sources such as the Harvard Business
Review, among a variety of other factors. All these are set to
ensure that the authenticity of this research is guaranteed and
that all the information included in the final research are not
only up to date but also well referenced.

WHAT TO DO FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT
The White Paper
This document draws from the proposal (IN THE FOLDER) and
annotated bibliography (IN THE FOLDER) to argue for a
(re)solution to a specific issue, problem, or opportunity.
· Begin framing the issue/problem/opportunity in the
introduction, following the six moves outlined in Chapter 15 of
Technical Communication Today.
· In the body of the document, you'll want to include: 1) "a
summary of the facts," 2) "a discussion of the importance of
these facts," and 3) "a forecast about the importance of these
facts in the future" (pg 231 in TCT), drawing from your sources
to support claims.
· Next, provide your (re)solution to the
issue/problem/opportunity. Outline and discuss this (re)solution,
providing support when necessary. If the (re)solution is multi-
step, detail each step.
· Conclude the white paper following the five moves outlined in
Chapter 15.
The white paper should also adhere to the following criteria:
· Be between 1250-1500 words
· Addresses the primary reader-users you identified in the
reader-centered analysis chart (IN THE FOLDER)
· Written as concisely as possible
· Include at least two images, charts, maps, graphs, etc.
· Adhere to document design principles: i.e. contrast, repetition,
alignment, and proximity
· Utilize headings, subheadings, and other organizational
elements (i.e. bullet points)
· Written in single-space, 12-pt. font
· Free of surface-level errors (such as spelling, punctuation, and
grammar)
· Include a cover page, table of contents, and white paper (not
included in the word count)

  • 2. First Source Johansen, G., & Byrian, A. (2010). Business Ethics: The 21st Century Perspective. Ohio: Longman Publishers. This source contains information regarding business ethics in the modern business world. The book talks about business ethics for both small and large businesses as well as government interventions that ensure that businesses respect human moral standards. Majority of the contents of the book talk about ethical practices when employees come into contact with external parties such as when selling a good or service, when providing customer services or how business activities such as advertising and the production of goods and provision of services adhere to ethical standards. The source mainly talks about how employees should act as well as how they should achieve market expectations with regards to ethics when selling products and services. This source is useful for the development of this project in the following ways, it highlights the various areas within businesses where ethical principles and moral standards are mostly practiced. Such areas include production departments as well as customer service. It identifies moral standards within the society that businesses should adhere to. Examples of such moral standards that will be included in my project include, treating customers equally and with fairness. This source informs my understanding because it highlights how ethics has evolved in the business world over the years. This includes the application of ethics over information technology infrastructure such as the proper use of internet and communication platforms. I also got informed that some unethical practices are sensitive that at times do not get reported or there are just no set guidelines to report unethical practices by businesses. This source is slightly different from other sources. This source mainly talks about modern day ethics and how ethical practices have evolved. Second reference
  • 3. Kenneth, G. (2011). Conscience and Corporate Culture. Chicago: PWC Press. This source talks about how businesses mold employee behavior as well as create a vision and business practices that are in line with the best ethical business practices. In the book, Kenneth G. talks about how businesses should be aware of their ethical environments and surroundings such as how each employee is behaving towards a fellow employee or to an external party such as a supplier or a customer. The businesses should also be aware of the current regulatory environment that govern ethical standards by companies and its employees. The book also talks about the extent at which managers take to ensure ethical principles are followed and how they should deal with unethical acts within their businesses. This source is useful for my project because of the following reasons, it will enable me to identify the various ways businesses can do to mold the behaviors of employees so as to ensure adherence to ethical practices. An example can include employee training. The source will also help me to identify unethical practices that occur within organizations regularly. They can include theft by employees or employees revealing company and customer information to third parties. I also came to understand how government and company regulations are set to ensure adherence to ethical standards and to ensure an ethical culture is created amongst employees. This source fits with other sources because it discusses business ethics in a corporate as well as government level. • 4. Business Ethics Proposal MY NAME SCHOOL Business Ethics in the recent past has been a force to reckon with in the business world. The interaction between buyers, sellers and suppliers is founded on some ethical practices that need to be upheld, if the relationship between the parties is anything to go by. Both sides of the bargain are expected to maintain a code of conduct to enhance the relationship between the parties. However, this has only been but an ideal scenario. Practically, a huge number of unethical practices are reported annually in various sectors. Notably, these are just but reported cases of unethical practices going on in the business world, the number could be higher if the many cases that go unreported were all to be included in the research. Failing to attain the code of conduct is generally referred to as unethical business ethics. In the current world, maintaining a high level of business ethics is utterly critical for the success of any organization. Both parties that interact in the business world are required to exhibit the highest level of ethical standards. For businesses in the
  • 5. world today, maintaining a high level of business ethics is critical for the prosperity of the business. Business ethics is practicable in the simple interactions between businesses and their customers; for instance, in customer support, meeting the customers’ expectations, abiding by the standards set by various institutions, among several other factors (Johansen & Byrian, 2010). The respect of a firm or a business unit in an industry is largely based on its ability to maintain a healthy and ethical relationship between such a company and the consumers who depend on its products and services. The topic of business ethics is a very extreme yet very sensitive at the same time. It calls for an in depth and very critical analysis. Without the two previously mentioned ingredients, handling this topic is but a pipe dream. With full awareness of the nature of the topic and with an in-depth understanding of the relevant factors associated with the topic, I believe I am well positioned to comfortably handle the volatility and sensitivity of the topic. My conduct with regards to the applicability of ethics in day to day activities also put me in a good position to discuss this very sensitive issue (Kenneth, 2011). Furthermore, having analyzed the business world for quite so long, I feel better placed to research into the discussion on business ethics. As business ethics is a wide topic, I have a great effort ahead of me to gather all the relevant information in order to come up with conclusive research. The majority of the work in this research is intensely founded on both the business world as well as the generally accepted social morals. A combination of the two previously mentioned factors form the accepted standards of conducting business. The research will therefore have to seek the opinions and commentaries from various scholars in the business world as well as specialists in ethics. The research will be informed by various sources such as text book, case studies, reports, scholarly online sources such as the Harvard Business
