During her junior year of high school, the author had issues with attitude and discipline problems. She would frequently get into arguments with teachers when they gave her instructions she didn't like or criticized her. This led to her getting sent to the office and having to change seats in class often. Near Thanksgiving break, the author got into a physical fight with another student after exchanging insults, and had to be pulled off the other student by teachers and police officers. While her junior year involved many discipline problems, the author says she enjoyed it and wouldn't take it back.

When I was a discipline problem 
During my junior year at Diamond Oaks it started off great I was on honor roll,
attendance was great, but my attitude was a whole different story. When teachers would say
something to me I didn’t like or tell me to do something when I didn’t feel like doing it I would
cop the nastiest attitude. Then when I coped my attitude the teachers always had something to
say and then I would come right back and say something smart. The teacher I really had
problems with my junior year was my lab teacher Ms. roddy and Ms. Rose, we stayed getting
into it because Ms. Roddy always listened to Ms. Rose and I didn’t like that so every time I
asked Ms. Roddy for something and Ms. Rose tried to bud in I instantly got smart and told her
how it was. I got sent to the office a lot and got sent to the hall way had to switch seats
everything it was crazy.
Then like a couple days before thanksgiving break I was in the bathroom, I was late for
th
6 bell English class. As I was walking into class this girl was coming in as soon as I was sitting
down and she accused me of stealing her jacket. She asked to check my bag and everything but
I told her no because she was being rude. I was smiling and laughing and everything because it
was funny, but as she was walking out the class she called me out my name, keep in mind I was
already upset because my boyfriend had got suspended and he wasn’t there. So I got up out of
my seat and walked out the classroom and said something and she swung, I instantly blanked
out, I don’t remember what happened from there. All I remember is that when it was over we
were both on the ground and I just heard screaming and me holding on to her and teachers and
police officers telling me to let go.
All I saw was weave on the ground and I was crying because I was mad as ever, I had a
headache and everything. I was a discipline problem my whole junior year just about. But I
wouldn’t take any of it back, I enjoyed my junior year it was off the hook.
