This document contains passages from the Bible discussing various topics:
- Jesus expands on the commandment against adultery, saying that lustfully looking at a woman is adultery of the heart. He advises cutting out one's eye or hand if they cause sin.
- Leviticus outlines laws for different types of offerings to atone for sins and maintain relationship with God.
- Another passage discusses how Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient and he does not need repeat daily sacrifices like other priests.
- In summary, the heart of the law is to avoid sin in both actions and thoughts, and sacrifices were required to atone for sins and maintain the relationship between God and Israel.
The 70-day challenge for those participating in the "Heart of the Matter" series is over, but we hope the transformation of our hearts continues as we make these new practices part of our daily life.
Have you asked Jezebel to serve her favorite dish of revenge at your banquet table?
Do you sense a dark cloud of demonic harassment hovering over your days?
Do you feel victimized, slandered, and rejected by your friends and family?
You are on Jezebel's radar screen, and the root of your torment came from your invitation!

Van 14 – 21 maart 2015 organiseerde ECHO voor de twaalfde achtereenvolgende keer een inspirerende studiereis naar de University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), een High School en een Community College in LA. Het thema van deze studiereis was ‘Pathways to success: inclusive excellence and early preparation in secondary (vocational) education lead to better results in secondary education as well as higher education.’ Dit is mijn verslag van deze reis.
This presentation was given by Angela Wilkinson of the OECD at the CERI Conference on Innovation, Governance and Reform in Education on 5 November 2014 during session 6.a: Major Trends. It highlights the role of foresight in policy and more specifically in shaping the future of education.
This presentation was given by Tracey Burns of the OECD at the CERI Conference on Innovation, Governance and Reform in Education on 4 November 2014 during the Governing Complex Education Systems (GCES) project session. It looks at trends in governance and provides a detailed overview of the GCES project, explaining its main research questions, analytical model, main findings and outputs.
These slides accompanied Lord David Puttnam’s keynote address at the CERI Conference on Innovation, Governance and Reform in Education on 3 November 2014.
“If a man is righteous and does what is just and right— if he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, does not defile his neighbor's wife or approach a woman in her time of menstrual impurity, does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, commits no robbery, gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with a garment, does not lend at interest or take any profit, withholds his hand from injustice, executes true justice between man and man, walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully—he is righteous; he shall surely live, declares the Lord God.

God tells us that we should not repay evil with evil, not only do not do this, but also to win evil, with goodness. This is really beyond human thought. But from the discussion of the scriptures below, we can know why God wants us to do this? If we do not do that, our hearts will be severely polluted, and we cannot accept God's things. Not only can we not bear the blessing of God, but we also have curse on three generations of children and grandchildren. The consideration is to be able to climb the kingdom of God and give us eternal blessings at the same time. A347

A verse by verse commentary on Leviticus 15 dealing with the laws regulating washing and sacrifice when a man or woman has a bodily discharge such as his semen or her period.
How do you define presumption? How does presumptive judging of others and planning for the future show pride and arrogance? How does presumption judge and reject God? What is the difference between constructive criticism, slander and condemnation? What is our attitude toward God and His law when we speak against a brother or sister in Christ? What warning did James give to those who presumptively plan for the future? How does presumptive planning show pride and arrogance? How do you define sin? How does James define sin? (4:17) How is his definition different from yours?

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
