Introduction
WhatsApp is a free smartphone application that is
available on iPhone, Nokia, Blackberry and Windows
smartphones and gives users the possibility to send
text messages, voice clips, photos, videos, locations
and contacts. It can be done in a one-on-one
conversation as well as in a group conversation, in
which users can talk to up to 50 people at the same
time.
WhatsApp just hit a major milestone: 400 million
monthly active users for its sleek, streamlined cross-
platform messaging service.
Objectives
• This study seeks to identify the user’s reaction
towards Whats App
• To study the various reasons for the use of
Whats App.
• To study the impact of Whats App on users.
• To study the benefits and limitations of Whats
App.
Limitations
• Users below 15 years and above 45 years are
not covered.
• Study is confined to Whats App users only,
therefore out of 135 respondents only 120
users of Whats App were studied.
• Users staying only in Mumbai are considered.
• Out of the total 135 respondents only 120
who were the users of Whats App were the
target audience.
Methodology & Sample Size
• Methodology: Structured questionnaire has
been used to collect Primary Data.
• Sample Size: 150 respondents were
approached, out of which only 135
responded.

Suggestions
• one should not get much addicted to it. It may
cause severe disorder.
• can fade human face to face socialisation
• as an alternate for SMS and MMS messaging
• Can be used as quick media to spread news
• Cities or continents apart can keep in touch so
effortlessly
• Children develop early communication skill
• Can be used for educational purpose
