Background Obesity is perhaps the most prevalent form of malnutrition. As a chronic disease, prevalent in both developed and developing countries, and affecting the children as well as adults, it is now so common that is replacing the more traditional public health concerns including malnutrition. It is one of the most significant contributors to ill health. For industrialized countries, it has been suggested that such increase in body weight have been caused primarily by reduced levels of physical activity, rather than by changes in food intake or by other factors. Methods A quantitative experimental research was conducted among 60 obese adults. Clients meeting these inclusion criteria were divided into two groups of 30 members in each group. Out of 60 sample, 30 sample in experimental group and 30 sample in control group. A purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples. The purpose of the study was explained to the samples and written informed consent was obtained from them. The demographic graphic variables and clinical variables were collected by multiple choice questionnaire. Body Mass Index BMI for Pre test assessment was assessed in the 1st day of data collection both in the experimental group and control group. The Body Mass Index BMI level was assessed by measuring as the weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in metres kg m2 . The text message intervention with motivational messages, exercise, foods to be taken and foods to be avoided was sent to the experimental group twice daily, for 14 days. The control group followed regular routine. The post test was conducted in control group and experimental group on the 14th day after text message intervention. Collected data were analysed by descriptive and inferential statistics. Result The result in the post test between the experimental and control group was found to be statistically significant at p 0.001 level, this clearly infers that text message intervention for prevention and management of obesity among adolescents in the experimental group was found to be effective than the adolescents with obesity in control group who follow regular activities and lifestyle habits. Physical activity guidelines and preschooler’s obesity status
Body mass-index-quality-of-life-and-migraine-in-students
Migraine is reported globally with a higher prevalence in students. The present study aims to evaluate the association between nutritional status, quality of life (QL) and characteristics of migraine.
A cross-sectional study. Headache characteristics, level of disability caused by migraine crises (Pediatric Migraine Disability Assessment - PedMIDAS) and QL (Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory- PedsQL) were assessed. Anthropometric variables were also measured.
Data were collected from 98 students with a mean age of 11.2 ± 1.7 years. Migraine had the highest prevalence (54.8%). The average Body Mass Index (BMI) of the total sample was 20.0 ± 3.8 kg/m2, and among students with migraine and students with tension headache, the average BMIs were 20.4 ± 4.0 and 19.5 ± 3.4 kg/m2, respectively (p = 0.264, Student's t-test). Around 47.5% from migraineurs were overweight or obese. Regarding QL, the average total score in students with migraine was 74.4 ± 12.4, with no differences observed among normal weight, overweight or obese students, and no correlation between the scores of the PedsQL and BMI (r = -0.182, p = 0.165, Pearson correlation coefficient) was observed. There was a high percentage of overweight students with migraine. Analyses show no associations between the nutritional status, frequency, severity, disability caused by crises, or QL.

Objectives To review the effects of physical activity on health and behavior outcomes and develop evidence-based
recommendations for physical activity in youth.
Study design A systematic literature review identified 850 articles; additional papers were identified by the expert
panelists. Articles in the identified outcome areas were reviewed, evaluated and summarized by an expert panelist. The strength
of the evidence, conclusions, key issues, and gaps in the evidence were abstracted in a standardized format and presented and
discussed by panelists and organizational representatives.
Results Most intervention studies used supervised programs of moderate to vigorous physical activity of 30 to 45 minutes
duration 3 to 5 days per week. The panel believed that a greater amount of physical activity would be necessary to achieve similar
beneficial effects on health and behavioral outcomes in ordinary daily circumstances (typically intermittent and unsupervised
activity).
Conclusion School-age youth should participate daily in 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity that
is developmentally appropriate, enjoyable, and involves a variety of activities. (J Pediatr 2005;146:732-7)

ecommendations for appropriate amounts of physical activity for the US
population, including school-age youth, have been developed by several
organizations and agencies.1 Although recent reviews have summarized the
benefits of regular physical activity on the health of youth and its potential for reducing the
incidence of chronic diseases that are manifested in adulthood,

a more systematic
approach is indicated. This report presents results of a systematic evaluation of evidence
dealing with the effects of regular physical activity on several health and behavioral
outcomes in US school-age youth, with the goal of developing a recommendation for the
amount of physical activity deemed appropriate to yield beneficial health and behavioral
outcomes.
METHOD
Under a contract with the Divisions of Nutrition and Physical Activity and
Adolescent and School Health of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the
Constella Group, an expert panel was convened to review and evaluate available evidence
on the influence of physical activity on several health and behavioral outcomes in youth
aged 6 to 18 years. The co-chairs of the panel selected panelists on the basis of expertise in
specific areas: adiposity, cardiovascular health (lipids and lipoproteins, blood pressure, the
metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular reactivity, heart rate

The obesity epidemic has a dominant glob-al and national presence. Research shows that 35% of American men and 40.4% of
women over the age of 19 years are obese.1 These
statistics demonstrate that a high proportion of the
population in the United States (US) is impacted
directly by the obesity epidemic, which has been
proven to be both economically and physiologi-
cally taxing. Obesity is defined as the excess accu-
mulation of body fat to the point that it can have a
negative impact on health. Numerous factors have
been identified as obesogenic (those contributing
to the development of obesity), including decreased
energy expenditure, increased energy intake, and
decreased levels of physical activity.2 Concerted ef-
forts are being made to understand this epidemic
from all possible viewpoints.
Insufficient and poor sleep have emerged as obe-
sogenic risk factors. Sleep pattern disturbances are
associated with impaired cognitive abilities, poor
memory, confusion, reduced intellectual capacity,
and altered motor function.3 Impaired sleep also
can decrease academic performance,4 and increase
the incidence of vehicular accidents.5 Furthermore,
poor sleep quality and reduced sleep duration may
be associated with weight gain.6 College students
often report chronic reduced sleep quality and
sleep duration.7
The specific causes of poor sleep quality and du-
ration are diverse, but the presence of media de-
vices within the bedroom, such as smart phones
and tablets, is a novel point of discussion in terms
of their effect on sleep quality and duration. The
effect of cell phone presence in the bedroom on
sleep has been described in adolescents and adults
and implicated as a potential obesogenic factor,8,9

Objectives To review the effects of physical activity on health and behavior outcomes and develop evidence-based
recommendations for physical activity in youth.
Study design A systematic literature review identified 850 articles; additional papers were identified by the expert
panelists. Articles in the identified outcome areas were reviewed, evaluated and summarized by an expert panelist. The strength
of the evidence, conclusions, key issues, and gaps in the evidence were abstracted in a standardized format and presented and
discussed by panelists and organizational representatives.
Results Most intervention studies used supervised programs of moderate to vigorous physical activity of 30 to 45 minutes
duration 3 to 5 days per week. The panel believed that a greater amount of physical activity would be necessary to achieve similar
beneficial effects on health and behavioral outcomes in ordinary daily circumstances (typically intermittent and unsupervised
activity).
Conclusion School-age youth should participate daily in 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity that
is developmentally appropriate, enjoyable, and involves a variety of activities. (J Pediatr 2005;146:732-7)

ecommendations for appropriate amounts of physical activity for the US
population, including school-age youth, have been developed by several
organizations and agencies.1 Although recent reviews have summarized the
benefits of regular physical activity on the health of youth and its potential for reducing the
incidence of chronic diseases that are manifested in adulthood,

a more systematic
approach is indicated. This report presents results of a systematic evaluation of evidence
dealing with the effects of regular physical activity on several health and behavioral
outcomes in US school-age youth, with the goal of developing a recommendation for the
amount of physical activity deemed appropriate to yield beneficial health and behavioral
outcomes.
METHOD
Under a contract with the Divisions of Nutrition and Physical Activity and
Adolescent and School Health of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the
Constella Group, an expert panel was convened to review and evaluate available evidence
on the influence of physical activity on several health and behavioral outcomes in youth
aged 6 to 18 years. The co-chairs of the panel selected panelists on the basis of expertise in
specific areas: adiposity, cardiovascular health (lipids and lipoproteins, blood pressure, the
metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular reactivity, heart rate
variab.

The obesity epidemic has a dominant glob-al and national presence. Research shows that 35% of American men and 40.4% of
women over the age of 19 years are obese.1 These
statistics demonstrate that a high proportion of the
population in the United States (US) is impacted
directly by the obesity epidemic, which has been
proven to be both economically and physiologi-
cally taxing. Obesity is defined as the excess accu-
mulation of body fat to the point that it can have a
negative impact on health. Numerous factors have
been identified as obesogenic (those contributing
to the development of obesity), including decreased
energy expenditure, increased energy intake, and
decreased levels of physical activity.2 Concerted ef-
forts are being made to understand this epidemic
from all possible viewpoints.
Insufficient and poor sleep have emerged as obe-
sogenic risk factors. Sleep pattern disturbances are
associated with impaired cognitive abilities, poor
memory, confusion, reduced intellectual capacity,
and altered motor function.3 Impaired sleep also
can decrease academic performance,4 and increase
the incidence of vehicular accidents.5 Furthermore,
poor sleep quality and reduced sleep duration may
be associated with weight gain.6 College students
often report chronic reduced sleep quality and
sleep duration.7
The specific causes of poor sleep quality and du-
ration are diverse, but the presence of media de-
vices within the bedroom, such as smart phones
and tablets, is a novel point of discussion in terms
of their effect on sleep quality and duration. The
effect of cell phone presence in the bedroom on
sleep has been described in adolescents and adults
and implicated as a potential obesogenic factor,8,9

Infrastructure is the backbone of a country and has serious impact on progress of that country
and happiness of its people. The basic infrastructure comprises of transportation, communication,
sewage, water and electric systems. Further elaborating, it covers roads, highways, bridges,
telecommunication, ports, airports and railways.
People use the infrastructure daily, in some form or other and are affected by it. Poor
infrastructure does generate discontent and is reflected in people movements protesting and
demanding rapid improvements. These protests are more visible in poor and developing
countries where even the basic infrastructure of housing and allied services itself is deficient or
non-existent. The protests are now visible in developed countries also where aging infrastructure
because of lack of funds is deteriorating rapidly. In fact, it was a major point of agenda in recent
presidential elections in USA. The administration is understood to be planning on a major
overhaul of infrastructure costing trillion of dollars. In countries like India the Prime Minister
personally monitors the overall progress of improvement of infrastructure as it was a major
election promise on which he was elected.
So, it is not correct to say that people do not complain of poor infrastructure,though it may be
muted in some countries, cities , states and provinces .People do complain to their elected
representative and that is why it is everywhere a major point of promises in the election agenda.
These infrastructure projects tend to be high-cost investments; though they are vital to a
country\'s economic development and prosperity. Therefore, their improvements take time and is
generally spread over several years..

Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

The participants were recruited as part of the pediatric medical consultations of the Pre- vention and Management Pediatric Obesity Network of Besançon (France). The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Hel- sinki and approved by the local ethics committee (Comité de Protection des Personnes, Est-II, France, n°2015-A00763-46). All participants and their parents or legal guardians were fully informed of the experimental procedures and gave written informed consent. 2.2. Experimental procedures and measurements After a medical exam performed by a pediatrician to ensure that the participant had the ability to complete the whole protocol, the included subjects underwent different assessments on the same day: i) anthro- pometric characteristics and maturation status; ii) blood sample and blood pressure; iii) physical activity level; iv) sleep-disordered breathing. Material and methods: Assessment of anthro-pometric characteristics and maturation status in childhood who have obesity followed by examination of regular blood sample and monitoring blood pressure; monitoring of physical activity level as per regular ime scale, finally asking them for any presence of sleep-disordered breathing 2.1.
