Vision
• Be the leading, significant technology hub in
Midlands, if not the whole of Zimbabwe, known to
be
o meeting its objectives,
o fulfilling its mission
o and respecting its values.
Operations
We operate in 3 ways
• Tech-meetups
• Projects
• Events
And in 3 groups
</programmers>
Gr aphi c De s i gne r s
Techpreneur$
Tech-meetings
• On a weekly basis, MSU Tech Hub members will
meet for two hours to:
 update each other on the progress of projects
 In some weeks there may be some special discussion or workshop.
 get updates and briefings of upcoming events and other information from
the Executive Committee
 think of new projects hub members can work on and group each other
into teams.
 Then team members group into their groups and work on their roject
Events
• See events on following slides
Tech-motivations
• These are events where people who have
achieved observable success in the ICT sector will
be invited to come and share their stories with Tech
Hub members. This is done to motivate the Hub
members to be proactive and achieve their own
success.
Hackathons
• This will be a whole day event devoted to the Hub
members designing, developing and implementing
an ICT project they think will be very important for
the community in relation to a topic given that day
and at the end of the day the winning teams or
individuals will get prizes.
• The main objective is that at the end of the day
there should be a working solution
Workshops/Serminars
• Workshops or seminars will be on a specific topic
that the hub members will be taught from a
competent ICT person. An example of such a topic
could be “ Entrepreneurship in ICT”.
Discussions
• A discussion will be an event where hub members
on their own discuss the problem they are facing in
their field and in turn help each other with ideas
they could use to eliminate that problem.
Projects
• The EC is expected to come up with project ideas
but this is not limited to them only but also the
general hub members. Your idea is your idea. The
Hub has no right(specifically financial and
management) to it. It is a meeting point where you
can get help on your project over it however.
