"Love doesn't make the world go round, love is whatmakes the ride worthwhile." - Elizabeth Browning
But being ‘in love’ is different from loving all those around you. Love is very difficult to describe. This subtle feeling may occur because of a single look, smell, words, voice or appearance.
When you are in love you will feel a strong bond between you and the other person. You will always be on the look out for this person.
You will be happy whenever the person you are in love with acknowledges you. You know it is nothing but...
The physical appearance plays a huge role in the initial attraction. However, love is not just a physical attraction; it is as spiritual and emotional as physical.- Nazam Joseph
"True love is eternal, infinite, and always like itself. It is equal and pure, without violent demonstrations; it is seen with white hairs and is always young in the heart." - Honore de Balzac.
A reminder: She Doesn’t Know Me, But I Still Know Who She Is.
From a surgeon’s Point of narration.
It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80′s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb.
He said he was in a hurry as he had another appointment at 9:00 am. I signed him in, asked him to take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him.
I saw him glance at his watch, and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I could evaluate his wound. On examination, I saw it was well healed, so I removed his sutures and redressed the wound.
While dressing his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman replied no, but he needed to go to the nursing home to have breakfast with his dear wife.
I proceeded to inquire about his wife’s health. He told me that she had been there for a while! As she is a victim of Alzheimer’s disease.
As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, and that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised and asked him, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?”
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me but I still know who she is.”
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought;“That is the kind of love I want in my life. True love may neither be physical nor romantic... to last”
"Love is not about finding the right person, but creating a right relationship. It's not about how much love you have in the beginning buthow much love you build till the end."
What then is LOVE?
True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.
