ABSTRACT The Virtual Trial Room (VTR) application software simulates an apparel dressing room by the implementation of a virtual mirror, portraying an augmented view of the user with virtual superimposed clothes. Traditional approach to the design and implementation of virtual dressing rooms have been wildly using either normal webcams with Tag/Marker based tracking or expensive 3D depth & motion sensing cameras like Microsoft Kinect. The main idea of this paper is to methodologically devise a novel VTR solution deploying ubiquitous 2D webcams with tag-less tracking, in a real-time live video mode using open source tools and technologies. The solution model implements a tag-less or marker-less Augmented Reality (AR) technique with face detection technology and provides an intuitive motion-augmented User Interface (UI) to the VTR application, in the form of an interactive human-friendly Virtual Mirror using simple hand gestures. A qualitative performance analysis of the application is evaluated at the end of the paper to determine the fundamental susceptibility of the VTR system against varied illumination conditions.

A GSM Jammer or cell phone jammer is a device that transmit signal on the same frequency at which the GSM system operates, the jamming success when the mobile phones in the area where the jammer is located are disabled.
Communication jamming devices were first developed and used by military. Where tactical commanders use RF communications to exercise control of their forces, an enemy has interest in those communications. This interest comes from the fundamental area of denying the successful transport of the information from the sender to the receiver.
Nowadays the mobile jammer devices or cell phone jammer software are becoming civilian products rather than electronic warfare devices, since with the increasing number of the mobile phone users the need to disable mobile phones in specific places where the ringing of cell phone would be disruptive has increased. These places include worship places, university lecture rooms, libraries, concert halls, meeting rooms, and other places where silence is appreciated

The paper describe a practical model for routing and tracking of mobile vehicles in a large area outdoor environment based on the Global positioning system (GPS) and Global system for mobile communication (GSM). The supporting device GPS continuously move with the car and will calculate the co-ordinates of each position and when required by the owner it can be communicated with the help of GSM modem which is installed in both Transmitter and receiver section. GSM modem is controlled by a 32 bit ARM7 LPC2148. The device will collect position to supervised center by the SMS (Short Message Service) or GPRS (General Package radio service) and which can be located in the Google Earth and so the current position of the car can be known.

Project Glass is a research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality Head-Mounted Display (HMD). The intended purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands-free displaying of information currently available to most Smartphone users, and allowing for interaction with the Internet via natural language voice commands. These glasses will have the combined features of virtual reality and augmented reality. Google glasses are basically wearable computers that will use the same Android software that powers Android Smartphone and tablets.
The emergence of Google Glass, a prototype for a transparent Heads-Up Display (HUD) worn over one eye, is significant on several levels. It is the first conceptualization of a mainstream augmented reality wearable eye display playing out in a viral marketing campaign. Google Glass will enable us to capture video, let us interact with personal contacts, and navigate maps, amongst other things. It has been provocative enough to scare both Apple and Microsoft, who had been issuing patents for augmented reality products of their own . However, most salient of all is the way Google Glass is framed in media as the brainchild of Sergey Brin, the American computer scientist of Russian descent who co-founded Google. Brin is also celebrated in online articles as a real life “Batman,” who is developing a secret facility resembling the “Batcave”. This paper argues that Glass’s birth is not only a marketing phenomenon heralding a technical prototype, it also suggests and speculates that Glass’s popularization is an instigator for the adoption of a new paradigm in Human- Computer Interaction (HCI), the wearable eye display. Glass’s process of adoption operates in the context of mainstream and popular culture discourses, a phenomenon that warrants attention.

There are great expectations around the future of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and equally much uncertainty. Some believe that AVs will transform safety and efficiency and are making significant investments in this area. Others are concerned that the technological developments are outpacing society’s ability to adapt, and there is an urgent requirement to develop better regulation before there is widespread deployment. A global Open Foresight project exploring the key issues for the future of AVs is being undertaken by Future Agenda. Expert workshops around the world are building the informed view.
This project was kicked-off with a global review of the emerging landscape for autonomous vehicles. As well looking at the historical context for self-driving cars and trucks, this initial perspective explores the benefits of AVs; different issues for the movement of people vs. goods; the three primary drivers of adoption and the primary centres for innovation. It also includes commentary on the parallel developments in seaborne and air-based autonomous vehicles. It ends with some of the key questions to be explored by the project.

How much would it cost to develop an indoor navigation app.pdfFuGenx Technologies
Well, the indoor positioning app technology helps businesses better so that they can take advantage of this service. They can use the Indoor Positioning & Navigation app to map large buildings such as malls, railways, and airports for visitors. Offices, malls, hospitals, airports, warehouses, and university campuses, all of these buildings are built on a large area, making it a challenge for visitors to quickly find their way.
With the versatility of mobile devices these days, working on the go has gradually turned into a necessity. ADI-Mobile solutions offer a wide range of mobile enterprise applications which take advantage of important features of mobile devices including mobile data service, photo cameras, and geotagging (using GPS feature) and fully compatible with various mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS, Windows, and Blackberry.
Indoor Navigation System for Shopping Malls- Features, Costs & Tech Stack.pdfTechugo
Indoor navigation system for shopping malls can locate objects and visitors within buildings. However, GPS indoors is unreliable due to the lack of visual contact with GPS satellites. Thus, the mechanism must therefore use other positioning methods. These include widely accepted consumer standards for WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and ultra-wideband or passive RFID solutions. The choice of technology and method is the first and most crucial step in the implementation process.
Indoor Navigation System for Shopping Malls.pdfTechugo
Indoor navigation and positioning apps are required indoors. They differ from outdoor navigation apps. GPS outdoor navigation apps rely on satellite signals and can lose signal in dense areas, large buildings, or complexes. On the other hand, these indoor mapping software are designed for smaller areas and use augmented reality to display your location by accessing integrated GPS maps. The apps offer the fastest route to your destination by allowing you to access the built-in GPS maps.
Field work management solution for businessesOutwork
Outwork is a field service management solution that helps you improve the efficiency and productivity of your field team, by allowing you; plan, schedule and monitor their activities real-time, improving collaboration and speed of execution.
Geolocation allows enterprises total communication between their employees, providers, agents and clients through a map interface allowing fast and accurate distribution of a wide variety of data.
We have observed that there is a wastage of productive time by field force across organizations leading to huge loss of productivity & revenue.
It has been noted that the field force waste anything between 18-20% on non productive functions like social media, time pass , sleeping or resting at home, wasting time with friends, watching movies etc and all these activities take place during office time. At times while claiming their conveyance allowance, employees overstate their kilometers than actual traveled leading to non productive expense for the employer.
We have created Employee Tracker to arrest this wastage of time & eventually increase the productivity for the organization. With Employee Tracker you can monitor and examine the time and movements of your staff in the field. You can also find out the exact kilometer an employee has travelled in a day with a route map to authenticate the same.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

What is geofencing? Will geofence software ever rule the world?
1. What is Geofencing? Will Geofence
Software Ever Rule the World?
According to Techopedia, Geo-fencing is determined as:
“a technology that defines a virtual boundary around a real-world geographical
reason.”
The term geo-fencing refers to software tools that use global positioning systems
(GPS) or radio frequency identification (RFID) to establish a virtual perimeter or
barrier around a physical geographical area.
Geo-fence software and tools keep track of when mobile devices or other physical
objects enter or leave a geofenced area and send warnings to officials when a
device’s status changes. Text messages, email updates, and phone calls are all
examples of signs.
Integrating geo fences technology into your company is critical in today’s world. It
assists you in attracting more loyal customers as well as growing revenue.
Be an innovative business and deliver promotions and product offers to your
customers’ smartphones as soon as they reach your geographic area.

a virtual boundary set up around a geographical location, known as a geofence.

relevant ads by creating virtual boundaries of the business location, which notify
users when they come in contact with the virtual parameter.
A geofencing allows an administrator to set up triggers that send a warning when a
system enters (or exits) the administrator’s specified boundaries. Many geo-fencing
apps include Google Earth, which allows administrators to draw borders on top of a
particular location’s satellite image.
Depending on how the geofence is configured, it can send target messages on
social media, show ads and trigger a mobile notification, and warning messages or
text messages to the user.
The technology is used to track organization assets, control field workers, and
automate time cards. Some businesses use geofencing to track specific areas and
notify management if someone enters or exits.
How Does it Work?
When creating a mobile app, a developer or administrator first creates a virtual
parameter around a specific RFID or GPS location to allow geofencing, then uses
APIs to draw a 100-foot circle around the google map location and obtain
authorization entry and exit in that area.
The geofence is usually defined within a mobile application code since users must
opt-in to location services for it to work. You will download an app that offers
information about the case if you go to a concert. Companies do the same thing,
drawing a geofence around their employees to control and track them and send out
a smartphone or email alert—the companies’ geofences to track their employee
position and time spent on work sites.
End-users may use app capabilities, and companies’ software reminds them to
select the address and location from which they want the push notification or warn.
3. Geofencing is more than just an app; it regulates and monitors all activities in every
sector, whether it’s transportation, agriculture, or information technology.
A geofence defined by latitude and longitude and the radius creates a circular area,
or fence, around the site. Geofencing combines a user’s knowledge of their current
location with their proximity to potentially exciting places. To mark an area of interest,
you state its latitude and longitude. To adjust the proximity of a spot, you use a
radius.
Why is Geofences So Essential
Today?
Let’s read out the importance of this technology so that you can also take leverage of
it.
● Track Movability
With geofences, it is easy to deploy GPS location and track all your assets
simultaneously. The technology provides the feature of tracking moving objects by
mobile devices.
● Automate tracking at location
With this technology, you can easily track the route and moving team members; it
follows the employees’ work hours and work location and records it to an excel table.
Also, provide push notifications or alert text messages for the successful flow of
work.
● Track a time limit to job sites
Geofences let you track your employee job sites; geo time clock feature run clock
when the employee enters a specific zone and pause or stop when they leave the
location.
The software also records the time spent by the employee on the particular task.
4. ● Human resource management
Geo fence helps companies with trouble monitoring employees, especially the
employee working out in the field or spending time off-site.
it is also an easy way to
● Precise reporting
Geofences help to know about the precise location for a rich report. The employer
can easily filter reports according to a specific client, time spent on job sites by an
employee, and get complex project reports.
Here is a list of other common geofence application:
● Smart application
● security
● audience engagement
● social networking
The Future of Geofencing
There have been some cautious comments about geofencing, especially when it
comes to privacy issues in marketing. Just last year, Massachusetts was one of the
first states to enact a consumer protection law against the use of location-based
advertising.
The attorney general blocked an advertising campaign by Copley Advertising, a
Christian organization hired to put up fences around women’s clinics and target
women in or near waiting rooms with anti-abortion ads.
Despite questions about safety, however, geofencing does not appear to be losing
demand any time soon. According to reports from MarketsandMarkets, the
geofencing industry is supposed to gain by more than 27 percent through 2022,
quoting “technological advancements in the use of spatial data and increasing
adoption across numerous industry verticals.”
5. Geofence Time Tracking Software
Today geo fences were not only a part of GPS tracking it applied in many time
tracking softwares. It works as an invisible boundary on Google Maps, which sets
the parameter for your mobile teams so that you can manage all project tasks.
Geo fence provides an automated tracking feature to the employer to monitor their
team’s activity when they are on the field.
The geofence time clock software is smart enough to track the employee’s location,
record the time as the employer enters an identified geofence zone, and send the
alert notification or text message whenever they leave the area.
The technology is extremely helpful and easy to use, does not require any
complicated setup or training.
