5. Types of Culture:
Material Culture: Consist of things that are made by
human. e.g.; cars, buildings, clothing and tools.
Non Material Culture: refers to abstract ideas and
ways of thinking that make up a culture. Traffic laws,
words etc.
Real culture; the culture we are living into without
following norms and values of humanity or religion.
(poverty, terrorism etc.)
Ideal Culture: the culture we want to adopt to have a
better culture.

6. CHARACTERISTICS
Culture has five basic
characteristics: It is learned,
shared, based on symbols,
integrated, and dynamic. All
cultures share these basic
features. Culture is learned. It
is not biological; we do not
inherit it. ... Despite the shared
nature of culture, that doesn't
mean that culture is
homogenous (the same).

Cultural system
A cultural system is the
interaction of different
elements in culture. While a
cultural system is very
different from a social system,
sometimes both systems
together are referred to as the
sociocultural system.
The sociological subsystem of
a culture is the sum of the
expected and accepted
patterns of interpersonal
relations that find their outlet
in economic, political, military,
religious, kinship: and other
associations. These sociofacts
define the social organization
of a culture.

9. Civilization and
culture
Basically, culture is the totality
of knowledge, beliefs, art and
customs shared by a human
group. Civilization is the
organized development of
one or more cultures within
an urban center (from the
Latin word 'civis', citizen).

Culture theory is a branch of
anthropology, semiotics, and
other related social science
disciplines
Let's finish our analysis of
culture by reviewing them in
the context of three
theoretical perspectives:
functionalism, conflict theory,
and symbolic interactionism.
