A missionary is a Christian who has heard and been impacted by God's message, cares about those who are lost, and seeks to spread the gospel around the world in obedience to Christ's commandment. They have responded to God's call to proclaim the message to others and bring more people into God's kingdom. Their work is motivated by their faith and desire to follow Christ's example of preaching the gospel widely.

5. A Christian who cares about the lost.
“But how can they call to Him for help if they
have not believed? And how can they believe
if they have not heard the message? And how
can they hear if the message is not
proclaimed? And how can the message be
proclaimed if the messengers are not sent
out?” Romans 10:14-15

6. A Christian who has responded to the world’s
need.
“Dead bodies are scattered everywhere, like corn
cut and left behind by the reapers, corn that no
one gathers.” Jeremiah 9:22

7. A Christian who wants God’s Will
“The Lord . . . does not want anyone to be
destroyed, but wants all to turn away
from their sins.” 2 Peter 3:9

8. A Christian who has accepted Christ’s
challenge.
“There is a large harvest, but few workers to

9. A Christian who wants to follow Christ’s
example.

10. A Christian who wants to obey the
Great Commission.
“Go then, to all peoples everywhere and
make them My disciples . . .” Matthew 28:19

11. A Christian who wants to seek first God’s
Kingdom.
“Be concerned above everything
else with the Kingdom of God.”
Matthew 6:33

12. A Christian who has answered God’s call.
“Then I heard the Lord say,‘Whom shall I send?
Who will be our messenger?’ I answered, ‘I
will go! Send me!’“ Isaiah 6:8
