Much can be said about animal welfare, many aspects are relatively new. New

that their product lived a full and happy life. The same criteria can be said for a
prospective pet, an owner would want an all around healthy companion that can

The literature indicates that students are more prone to bullying behavior if the school
climate is not healthy for example when students recognize considerable conflict,

previously in this literature review supports that a positive school climate is essential

There are a variety of barriers to implementing an ideal bully prevention program in
schools. For example, the severity of bullying may be underestimated, lack of a well
trained faculty and staff, and other important issues, such as academic performance
and graduation rates. However, bullying indisputably is a prevalent problem that can
result in many negative outcomes as outlined previously. Thus, an ideal anti bullying
program could help to decrease potential negative consequences and increase
achievement. An effective anti bullying program would consider activities that deal
with vital issues involved with the problem of bullying. For example these activities
would include school faculty, student, and parent involvement, educational
approaches with students, interventions with bullies, victims, and bystanders, and
systems level interventions (Sherer Nickerson).

caught my attention the moment I read the title. In the article, Mitchell said
Collegiate sports is not a career or profession. It is the students vehicle to a higher
education degree. Meaning that you only play collegesport for four year, if that. You
are at college to get an education and to get a job after and start your life. There are
only a select number of collegiate athletes that will go to the professionals. If you
are not one of those select few, but still receiving a scholarship, you are there to

This past Thursday night, I went to a lecture lyceum featuring speaker David
Suggs. Mr. Suggs told his rich and fascinating life story that stretched around the
globe. His career involved Air Force One, the Russian Parliament, Knights
Armament, Russian Fisheries and Cold Storage Facilities. The best way I know
how to reflect on this experience is by re telling his story in my own words. David
Suggs was born in Raleigh, NC but moved down to the Monroe area when he was

started making money hand over fist. He said that out of 365 days in a year he

I have talked before about coming from a simple life. That could be a slight
understatement as I have never previously attended a ballet, and when the
question, Surely, you ve all heard of Tchaikovsky, right? was posed I struggled to
recognize the name or any significance to my life. It was not until I heard the
musical number of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy that the gears of my mind
finally associated it with memory. While the first few notes of the celesta filled
the room with carefree delight, I was transported back to the cold, laminated floor
of my farmhouse bedroom. Sitting on the gaily colored rug in the middle of my
six feet by seven feet small expanse of space, I remember holding my china
ballerina/music box so gently. The object itself is about twenty inches tall. It is a
beautiful ballerina in a lavender tutu with matching slippers and a delicate crown
of flowers in her hair. The ballerina is perched upon a white cylinder, almost
reminiscent of a cake topper, that is embellished with glitter and flowers and all of
the pretty works. When the key is turned, the melody flows angelically through my

From the Ming dynasty, Hakkas migrated to Malaysia. Nowadays, Hakkas mostly
live in Sabah and Sarawak. The airport there had used Hakka for its language. And
other ethnic groups in the area also speak Hakka dialect for Hakka people hold
