The document discusses various technologies the author learned about through constructing a product. The author learned how to edit images using Photoshop by darkening, cropping, enlarging and sharpening images. Slideshare allowed the author to easily upload and embed PowerPoint slides. Scribd similarly allowed uploading and embedding of Word documents. Prezi offered customizable templates to creatively build presentations from scratch. Infogr.am provided online charts and data visualization for creative presentations. Padlet offered a customizable blank wall for content.
3. Photoshop
Photoshop allowed me to change my initial image I used for each page,
really came in handy when I needed to darken, crop, enlarge, sharpen my
images and more. By using photoshop I made the images I used look more
professional and at a higher standard compared to when they started off.
It was really helpful when I needed to get rid off the background by
providing me the right tools.
6. Slideshare
Slideshare is a presentation software which has grown through the years
and become the worlds largest community for sharing presentations, I
found slideshare to be a really easy way to upload slides, I learnt that all I
needed to do was to upload my PowerPoint document on it and then
embed it to my blog. Furthermore I learnt that slideshare is meant to be
interactive with views showing you the amount of people who have seen
your presentation.
7. Scribd
Sribd let me upload my word documents that I created and present them by also
embedding my document to my blog. Just like slideshare scribed allowed me to
publish and share my work.
Furthermore I also learnt
that others can like my
upload and rate it. The
number of views also
shows the amount of
people who have seen
my upload just like
slideshare.
8. Prezi
Prezi is a intuitive way of making and sharing presentations. Unlike
slideshare and prezi I had to make my presentation from scratch before
uploading it. I really liked the way in which there are many templates
which are customizable which allowed you to personalise each slide. The
approach to prezi is really creative which means it is engaging for the
reader.
9. Infogr.am
Just like prezi I had to make my presentation
from scratch when using infogr.am. Overall I
found infogram a really creative way to upload
information as it had online charts and data
visualisation to choose from. There where also a
range of colourful templates to choose from.
In addition I also learnt that
you can share your infographic
using social networks such as
facebook.
10. Padlet
Padlet offers a blank wall which you can fill with anything. When using
padlet I learnt how to change the background and I also learnt that I had
to switch my document to “being stream only” as I didn’t want others to
change my work once I've uploaded it.
