Computers will automate work that can be automated, so communication, creativity, and being a self-learner will be important skills. Experts say the 21st century skills needed for success include learning to know, do, live together, and be; creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration; and flexibility, initiative, social-cultural skills, leadership, and responsibility. Fostering a lifelong "yearning to learn" may help develop these skills.
