What are campaigns?
Campaigns are a company or a group of people who are trying to raise
awareness for their cause and getting people to support them. It also
educates people and promotes a product. They also publicise an event and
it provides a public service, all of which help make the campaign.

What methods of promotion are there?
There are many different methods of promotion, for example you can have a
catchy slogan for your campaign or music in the background, you can also
create an enigma this will be sure to attract people, famous/ relevant people
can also help because people are drawn to them. Threat and shock also
draw people in and make them more aware.

Types of campaigns:
Commercial:
This is where they advertise the campaign that they are showing the commercial for.
Charity:
This helps to raise money for the campaigns by using different types of conventions
to bring the audience in.
Pressure Group:
To get the point of the campaign across.
Political:
To aim on helping people and others.
Well known campaigns-

Advertising techniques:
Patriotism- The suggestion that purchasing this product shows your love of
your country.

Transfer- Positive words, images and ideas used to suggest that the product
being sold is also positive.
Bribery- Bribery offers you something “extra.”

Snob Appeal- The suggestion that the use of the product makes the
customer part of an elite group with luxurious or glamorous lifestyles.
Avante Garde- The suggestion that using this product puts the user ahead
of the times.

What is meant by ‘community’?
Community is all of the people living in a particular area/ place. It’s a place where
all the people in the community are able to do the same things. They can go to
community places.

What areas are there in the local area that are ‘community’ spaces?
There are places such as the local community centre, the library, the town hall and many
other places. Here are some pictures:

Why is it important to have space for members of the community?
It is important to have space for members of the community because it gives them a
chance to get to know other people in the community and they are places where
people can go and feel at home with people in their community.
What type of community campaigns have there been (e.g. Parks, gardens,
community centres, youth clubs, outdoor gym areas, sensory gardens etc) and what
was the space like before?
