'enforced isolation'
for 2 years
here's what I've learnt
(this isn't political)
*you should see what I can
do with my right toe
MORNINGand have a dedicated space to work in
1. Wake at normal time 2. Make your bed 3. Leave your bedroom
Top tip:
Go for a morning walk if you can.
Have a coffee outside to start the day.
*studies show fresh air makes you less
likely to jack it all in by 10am.
SCHEDULEStick to a 'day plan'
be strict on start and finish times
Top Tip:
Plan a personal goal
for the day, which
takes you outside
Like?
30 minutes staring into
the abyss, or a nice cry
working 24 hours a day is as admirable as being the richest person in the graveyard
PAUSEwith alarms to remind you
Fun fact: You're less likely to smash your laptop
into a million pieces if you go outside occasionally
Schedule breaks too
Did you know?
Your eyes hurt more when there's no one to
scowl at. Try the 20-20-20 trick.
*every 20 mins, look at something 20 ft away, for 20 secs.
...like your saucy neighbour in that banging face mask
EXERCISElook after yourself ffs
Your body and mind
A list of free stuff:
- reading
- running
- writing
- mindfulness
- sit ups
- press ups
- laughing at the futility of life
Fun fact:
Uber Eats also does salad
SOCIALISEbeing home alone gets lonely
Make time to talk
Take regular calls with your team and agree daily actions.
But also catch up with friends. Ring one pal every lunch time.
 And to the question: "How are you?"
Always answer honestly, even if it's... "Not great pal"
MUSICRe-learn how to focus
don't put the TV on. use music and silence
Use music to lift your
mood, meditate, focus
and sleep.
noise cancelling headphones will let you forget you had
kids to begin with, remember to feed them though...
DISCONNECTLimit social media
social media can destroy your mood, don't let it
Top Tip:
your world view is your responsibility.
Don't limit it to the opinions of idiots.
Question the source of 'news'
is it opinion, fact, or conjecture?
(it's conjecture)
...at least not first thing.
*check out snopes.com for fact checked news
REMEMBERit's not forever
help each other out, log off, talk, exercise, go outside, stay resilient
Use the moronic panic
buying at major stores
as an excuse to
support your locals
you'll help the economy
And most importantly keep smiling
life's too short to not to.
