There is a ongoing measles outbreak in West Wollega, Ethiopia. As of April 3, 2023, there have been 281 reported cases across 3 districts, with 264 cases in Begi and 17 in Kondala. Over 45 kebeles have been affected and 18 deaths have been reported, resulting in a case fatality rate of 6.4%. Most cases are in children under 5 years old who were unvaccinated.
