Some eco-friendly plastics have been developed from renewable resources like plants in order to reduce fossil fuel usage and create biodegradable alternatives. While eco-friendly plastics can benefit the environment, they also have drawbacks like higher costs and potential unknown risks that could deter some users. Overall, plastics provide important benefits but also significant environmental challenges that innovative sustainable plastics are working to address.
