Optimise-GB provides you with a free template for the programme start up document. This is the first phase of a three phased programme methodology. This document is based on MSP, Lean and Six Sigma programme methodologies. The key difference and unique perspective for this methodology is that the programme never closes down but focuses on continuous improvement. This document reduces the number of documents that can often lead to confusion as identified in a number of methodologies. The document sets the reason for the programme in regards to operational strategies, objectives and balanced scorecard reporting. As with most programme management methodologies, the document focuses on the now (Current state / as is) again the future (to be / future state). There are several inbuilt excel templates to boot including objectives weighting mechanisms, SIPOC flow diagrams and business cases. The programme start up phase leads into the Programme Improvement plan, which identifies a number of initiatives to be authorised within the project portfolio. The U.S. Department of Commerce collects, processes and disseminates data on a range of issues that impact our nation. Whether it's data on the economy, the environment, or technology, data is critical in fulfilling the Department's mission of creating the conditions for economic growth and opportunity. It is this data that provides insight, drives innovation, and transforms our lives. The U.S. Department of Commerce has become known as "America's Data Agency" due to the tens of thousands of datasets including satellite imagery, material standards and demographic surveys.
But having a host of data and ensuring that this data is open and accessible to all are two separate issues. The latter, expanding open data access, is now a key pillar of the Commerce Department's mission. It was this focus on enhancing open data that led to the creation of the Commerce Data Service (CDS).
The mission at the Commerce Data Service is to enable more people to use big data from across the department in innovative ways and across multiple fields. In this talk, I will explore how we are using big data to create a data-driven government.

Protection of personal healthcare information (PHI) has been as a significant hindrance to the acceptance, adoption and continued use of healthcare information technology (HIT). As nations and corporations encourage innovation in the healthcare sector for better outcomes for all its stakeholders, they are proceeding under a latent assumption – the equation of data stewardship with data ownership. This notion relegates the patient to the role of information provider and empowers infrastructure owners with data ownership rights. In this paper, we introduce Patient-Centric Privacy, which refers to 1) the recognition that patients are a fundamental and integral part of the disclosure, access and use processes, and 2) to the ability of the patient to control the release of their healthcare information.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements.
